Using a rotary table when working on something like a printer is just brilliant!

Will you make a shortened video on all the upgrades and mods ?

Was thinking about your search into lowering your weight on the axis - have you heard about openbuilds linear rail? Could it be a lighter replacement to attach to your carbon tubing?

Openrail seems to have all the exact same problems as regular v slot wheels its a totally bizarre product.

maybe the bright green choice was also so that people could chroma key color changes to see a variety of options?

A nice thought that I hadn't considered, but not sure it would be the case. As everything else is black you could just hue to modify the colour.

You lost me. % minutes into the session I still had no clue what was going on. Really need to make a more condensed and informative presentation. Live streaming is nice for some with lots of time and who want to get it right away. For others, not so much.....

So, if I understand.. you have two groups *please dont condemn me for my possible abuse of language.*. You have before you two different groups RR & Voron.. Voron appears from your assessment is a better performer. So youre going to bastardize a RR with the tried and tested Voron hardware into a RR configuration so you can give an apples to apples assessment as to which design is actually better. Interesting, but problematic in itself yet nothing that cant be overcome. I suppose its the most efficient way to get a Voron (in name) with a 500mm build volume. If you'd like a prediction.. you may well get a bit more speed out of the RR. The 3030 frame and corner braces will solidify stability compared the the Voron

I'm not bastardizing anything, the RR is configurable and i'm moving to another of its configurations.

The question is, do you want to compare the design of the machine / hardware or the firmware / hotend? Klipper/V-CoreOS is by far the most popular V-Core configuration at this point. Klipper users outnumber duet users 5 to 2 according to the discord role stats. That's quite a lot. The V-Core 3 is sold as a configurable kit, the electronics part is 100% up to the end user.
What Adam is doing makes sense if you wanna get an actual comparison of the machines.

@@miklschmidt Something I found interesting.. when looking at them both the kinematic bed is totally hypnotic.. Voron did a video on the advantages of 4 vs 3 as a 2.4 pitch. Now they release the trident which by my understanding is a crippled Kinematic bed because the front too 'z' are tied together using extrusion. Id love to do the rat if for no other reason than the build volume but the wait is intolerable for me and sourcing it would be worse.

@@Dualecosse Grow up dude, you were already banned from the Rat Rig group because you couldn't behave like an adult.

The RatRig V-Core-3, like the Voron, is modular. With the V-Core, you can order or self-source a lot of different hotends from E3D, Slice or the usual suspects from China. The same is true for the electronics. Adam picked a package with the lowest-end hotend available from RatRig. He could have picked one with a Mosquito Magnum, or self-sourced a Dragon which is supported by the machine with a dedicated mount. There is no bastardizing in this, it all stays within the supported choice of parts. Actually, the V2.4 was a V6-printer in the beginning, too, and the kits I saw come with a cheap china copy until today.
