After hearing this, I went back and listened to the original. Sometimes, a song can be great but the vocalist just isn't right to sing it. You guys were the right vocalists for this song.

Corey Hart. The original version by Corey is more synth based (which makes sense as it was an 80's song) whereas this is straight up rock.

man maybe its just because im a 2000s kid and i heard this version first but this seems like, leagues better than the original song. like, seriously, the original is just kind of unpleasant to listen to, but this version is... pretty rockin to say the least

im not sure if thats how i would have felt if i had cared to listen before hearing the cover, though. its still a cool song obviously just the vibes are kinda... goofy sounding, at least to me.
I do respect your opinion but while I'm probably only a few years older than you I have to say it's pretty difficult to be as cool as Corey Hart was in this song. The way his head moves alone makes it ten times better lmao.
I'm a 2000s kid too but I have to disagree , I think the best version would be this covers instrumentals Paired with Corey heart vocals, would be best
