- Editing is a distinct and distinctive process from writing. Different skills. Different processes. Different goals. As we are nearing the end of our writing series, let's step into CS Lewis's wardrobe, and enter the world of editing.
Just as I was about to start editing my paper's draft, here you are again. Good news! I have submitted my PhD thesis and will attend my viva at King's College London in two weeks. Huge thanks to you and your videos, which are full of knowledge, support, and honest real-life experiences. I hope one day I can do as much favour to others as you do, because what you do matters to me and many others!
Absolutely amazing! I am so thrilled for you. I am so thankful for you, your kindness and your time. Everything crossed for the viva - let us know how it goes! txxx
@@TaraBrabazonChannel Of course Tara, it would be my pleasure! Thank you very much for your best wishes xxx

@@TaraBrabazonChannel Thanks so much!
Hello Dr. Brabazon! I just started my doctoral program, and someone in my cohort recommended your videos! I’m happy to be here and use you as a resource as as I continue my doctoral program!
Hi CDC! Welcome superstar. We are with you - and anything you need - you let us know :) All our love. You've got this :) txxx
"Pass Three - the path to madness" I don't know if to laugh or cry. It's cry I'm guessing.
I definitely agree with the text-to-speech technique. It's so helpful.
I tend to review my work in smallish chunks. I'm wondering now if I should wait each time until I have a full section/chapter before I review.
Missy I would. Complete a section. That will also allow you to enact that developmental editing task - what am I doing here - do these paragraphs fit? The bigger the chunk - the more you can work on transitions. I'm working on a 40 page document right now - and it makes a great difference when assessing the effectiveness of the sections. Biggest hug! txxx
Hey tara i juste get your book tara brabazon 12 rules for (academic) life can't wait to explore it, 🎉🎉🎉🎉
You mentioned that reference should not be more than 10 years old? What if I am writing a History paper? Should I not use journal articles from 100 years ago?
