New update! (11/4/21) - It seems like my fan doesn't help when I'm playing Fortnite for hours nowadays. I play it with my fan blowing on high air and for some reason Fortnite will overheat in any random minute when I jump into battle royal. I wonder if Fortnite overheats for me so much because of how much downloads/updates Fortnite requires or if it's just my switch in general? I don't know what the right answer is but it sure is very odd tho.
Another update (3/12/21) - the fan I still currently use to play some of my games like Smash Ultimate, Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, Mario 3D All-Stars, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, Battle Grounds, FE Warriors and alittle more still works fine and doesn't seem to over heat when I play them with my fan on low air. But one issues is when i played Fortnite for the past month, it has gotten over heated even with my fan on low or medium air it still over heated so now the only way for me to play fortnite on switch is I have to have my fan on high blowing air :/ It's really werid how Fortnite is the ONLY game that is having serious heating problems with my switch.
@@hippo_playzz8967 Yes you may! My discord is actually in the description. But because my username is in different font. I'll let you copy and paste it. (Or if that doesn't work. You can give me yours) I don't mind helping at all. 👍
You’re blowing air in to the air outlet vent this will overhear your switch faster the input vent is on the back of the switch try blowing air in through there
Update (1/5/21) - My switch is still currently working perfectly fine to this day with the fan blowing on it. I started doing this on April 12, 2020 and I haven't had any problems with it since. I wanted to post this update just to let everyone know that if your Switch is having overheating problems, then this is likely the only best option you could do. I've been seeing and hearing people say that this doesn't work for them? I'm very sorry if this option didn't work for you. The only other best option I can tell you is to just send your switch in for repair or just getting yourself another switch though I really don't want to suggest that option.
Honestly someone asked me the sane question about blowing it on the side and I'm not 100% sure if that works correctly. But you could give it s shot and then come back here to let me know if it worked fine for you? Also, about the ceiling fan, it should be a 40% chance that it'll run well for your switch (I believe it depends on how fast you have fan blowing into it. Cause it'll need to feel the air in order to keep running well) Also, my bad I replied a month late. I never got notify about the comment here.
I recommend you do give it a try. Espically if your nintendo switch keeps overheating then definitely do it! Cause if it works fine for me, then it will work fine for you too.
I'm sorry to hear that it didn't work. Have you tried standing up your Nintendo Switch and have the fan blow on it like that? If you haven't, give that a try!

I also had the problem.Never showed the over heating error but heard the fans. And it was in fortnite.
I can also say the same situation happened with my previous Nintendo switch (My very 1st one that stopped working before it got replaced)
Roy-joロイ Can i add you on discord and you can give me some tips? And I also thinks it’s because of the temperature.

Well to tell you the truth, I actually been doing this for 3-4 weeks now and it hasn't been overheating my switch at all.
My switch also overheated and i have been also using this technique but standing up straight and it does the job
O so it works standing up straight too? That's great news! As long as it does the job and doesn't overheat, then that's good 👍
Do you play with your switch on the side?
Like sideways? If so, then nope I have never tried playing my switch like that.
Hmm I mean like the way you put your switch in the video
Ohh yes I still play it like how I have it on the video and it still works perfectly fine for me!
Also I apologize for replying late!

When playing my Nintendo switch docked with it standing up, can I just blow the fan on the side blowing on it that way to?
Like have the fan blow on the side of your Nintendo Switch? Is that what you mean?
@@Roy-jo yes or is it possible that I could also run my ceiling fan?
