Amumu is cursed with loneliness. He cannot make any meaningful connections, with the exception of Vex another Yordle champion. Periodically his loneliness triggers a massive catastrophe around him that he can't control. He also kills any1 that touches him, it's all depression with no upside. There's no definitive info on who Amumu was before he awoke or why or who cursed him.

Interestingly enough, there is ONE person who seems to be completely immune to Amumu's curse: Annie, whom you know as the creepy child throwing fireballs and unleashing the demonic bear in "A Twist of Fates". This one is so amazing, its a few years old but is so well done. Its one of those videos that tells you about the backstory of one of the characters. That's why is different from what you've been reacting to, that are mostly championship songs, or promoting skinlines. The annie origin story and as we fall are two other ones that are also about a character backstory, and i would love to see you react to

Let's gooo ! ! ! :D the sadness of Amumu's story is real... Amumu is a playable champion in the League of Legends game. It is one of the older songs that Riot made but it stayed in a lot of people hearts till today.
I cry every time watching this one. God, someone hug him plz! This is written and sang by Christian Linke, one of the BIG composers at Riot and he came up with and pushed for Arcane to be made for YEARS! I knew Riot had a great music department based on the champion themes but this was the FIRST time the music department showed their music is priceless art. Really no one makes music like Riot. His abilities deal with the curse/mummy. Cursed Touch is passive that does extra tick damage. Bandage Toss is a mobility ability that he throws out a bandage at a target and pulls himself to them. Despair is an AoE damage of him crying tears (seriously). Tantrum is a small aoe around him. His ultimate is Curse of the Sad Mummy where he entangles all enemies in bandages around him (AoE) - just like in the MV. All of his splashes are really sad too (Regift Amumu breaks my heart) 😭 He better get an legendary HAPPY skin asap! It's interesting I'd actually say this feels the most like league... Strong artistic direction and especially breath taking violins is something riot really likes in their more "lore" focused songs
You should watch the 2 part story: 1. The Path, An Ionian Myth 2. Kin of the Stained Blade It is not a music vide, but is a very nicely made short story in the universe of League of Legends.
League's lore is dark in some places, especially for older champions like Amumu. And this song shows it in full - the story of a mummy boy who desperately wants to have friends but can't have any because they die from being close to him. The song is tragic and yet beautiful. Brings tears to my eyes every time, it's so intense you want to cry for this poor guy.

If you want more heartbreaking videos with a really nice art style, I recommend Annie: Origins and Varus: As We Fall. Varus actually has a tie in comic that gives some background before the cinematic if you wanted more context.

This is super diff because Rito tailors their music to the occasion you've been listening to all their hype and epic worlds songs this one is just pure art to tell a very specific story is always fun to see them jump through so many different genresand just make objectively good music also this ties into their great stories at the end of the day not everything ends happily and they aren't scared to just have messed up stories in their world
I also get Tim Burton vibes from the art style. I'm a huge fan of Tim Burton. Its my first time seeing this too and it was quite a masterpiece of both song and animation.
Yeah as they have said the curse is that if someone gets closed they sort of die and he can never died. In the old lore before they change it, he was bound into a sarcophagus in shurima (another country that sort of disappeared) and wandered the world trying to find his identity. It’s mention his only friend was Annie then with the rework only vex like can get close to him. In the video at the beginning there’s a wolf shadow, that’s another champion called Kindred, which is like the reaper in the LoL world. He can’t kill amumu due to the cursed.
There are also a bunch of fan made songs/rap battles, I’d recommend Falcon Shield - This is War. Some of the actual voice actors from the game are in them 👀
in ALL League videos you´ve seen a part of the Lore from the Champions they´re in. "As we Fall" is another of this light sad storys, but highly recommend it too if you are really inteested in the League Lore ^^

The curse of Amumu is for him to forever wander never able to make any friends since he brings death and decay everywhere he goes, and his outbursts of despair wreak havoc on the land wherever he is, the saddest part is that he seems almost oblivious to the destruction his presence brings and just thinks everyone avoids him
Fun Fact: League officially left Beta and Released on October 27th 2009 with 40 champions, 21 of which designed by one man, Colt "Ezreal" Hallam. I can't say for Certain but of those 40, Amumu is one of the few that has not had any major reworks or overhauls to his skills. Many have been completely redone, others have only had single abilities replaced or changed, but Amumu has always had the same Passive and 4 skills. I think his Passive got changed a tiny bit in its effect, but it still applies the same way and acts similar. Honestly, besides tuning damage ratios and range on his ultimate/bandage toss, the biggest change he's gotten was rather recent, and thats that he can hold up to two charges of bandage toss. Annie, Nasus, and Malphite are also ones thats have received little to no changes. Others like Sion, Kayle, Warwick, and Taric received full blown reworks and basically became entirely new champions. I'd Say check out and of the Character Trailer videos next because alot of them are fun and can help clue you in to more of the lore to this world, Runeterra, and the continent where it happens, Valoran. Or ANNIE: Origins, that ones both amazing visually and storytelling-wise, but leaves you similar to this one, heartbroken.
Amumu was a prince, that was affected by ancient curse, and now roams realms for ages without any prior knowledge of who he was. His curse is killing anyone who dares to approach him. Song tells a version where curse is about to solidify, where he still could have some human contact, but noone wanted to, because of a curse.
Absolutely beautiful horribly sad song. My lovely children put this on a mix CD for me. I think it was the first LOL based thing they made me consume. Now, all it takes is the opening notes for me to say, "You just want me to cry, don't you?"
It's the curse of forever loneliness. His touch means death and his affection will cause ruin. Even death itself doesn't want him. He remains forever alone unable to find any meaning in life or find peace in death.
Amumu's abilities in game make this make more sense two of his skills are: DESPAIR Overcome by anguish, nearby enemies lose a percentage of their maximum Health each second and have their Curses refreshed. TANTRUM Permanently reduces the physical damage Amumu would take. Amumu can unleash his rage, dealing damage to surrounding enemies. and the song sings about his Despair and his Tantrum, so there you go :D
The question is : where to go from here? If you want another dive into a character's origins, then Annie is a good one. If you want to fall back to more "typical" league songs, then I would advise "Burn it all down" If you feel the need to see some live performance, then I Recommend the 2022 Opening Ceremony (since you wanted to react to Jackson Wang anyway, it'd be 2 birds in one stone) Lastly, if you want something more cinematic oriented, "The Ruination" seems like a good pick.
so in the canon of league of legends whe dont know why or who cursed amumu, we dont even know if he exist at all or he is just a mith. but the histories tell us that is curse will wither away any living being he touches, plants animal and even people. so even if he finds people he could not come closer to them or they just die. in the game is habilities are "bandage throw" where he launch swing like spiderman closer to the target (like he didi to the moon in the video) also the "tantrum" is actually is final Hability in game, where he create a big zone of tangled bandages that stun everyone inside.
You really should check out Annie: Origins next. It's amazing and so very well made and very very different from anything you've seen before, even outside of the league of legends universe!
the reason the curse has won is, he can try to slowly build a relationship if the curse only killing those who touch him, but it backs him up so much into corner that he made himself lonely by his tantrum. who would try to understand a walking disaster now.
This is something that many league of legends players, myself in included, have a hard time with, and need therapy and medication to try and break the cycle. Amumu truly is a tragic figure.
Amumu is supposed to be a Legend told by people native, and we do not know yet if Amumu truly exists-although If you look closely, you can see the things surrounding him dying because of Amumu!

Day 6 of recommending the Beyblade openings. There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. Not as powerful in game as in the lore ofc cuz that would be silly. This is super diff because Rito tailors their music to the occasion you've been listening to all their hype and epic worlds songs this one is just pure art to tell a very specific story is always fun to see them jump through so many different genresand just make objectively good music also this ties into their great stories at the end of the day not everything ends happily and they aren't scared to just have messed up stories in their world
I also get Tim Burton vibes from the art style. I'm a huge fan of Tim Burton. Its my first time seeing this too and it was quite a masterpiece of both song and animation.
Yeah as they have said the curse is that if someone gets closed they sort of die and he can never died. In the old lore before they change it, he was bound into a sarcophagus in shurima (another country that sort of disappeared) and wandered the world trying to find his identity. It’s mention his only friend was Annie then with the rework only vex like can get close to him. In the video at the beginning there’s a wolf shadow, that’s another champion called Kindred, which is like the reaper in the LoL world. He can’t kill amumu due to the cursed.
There are also a bunch of fan made songs/rap battles, I’d recommend Falcon Shield - This is War. Some of the actual voice actors from the game are in them 👀

in ALL League videos you´ve seen a part of the Lore from the Champions they´re in. "As we Fall" is another of this light sad storys, but highly recommend it too if you are really inteested in the League Lore ^^

Fun Fact: League officially left Beta and Released on October 27th 2009 with 40 champions, 21 of which designed by one man, Colt "Ezreal" Hallam. I can't say for Certain but of those 40, Amumu is one of the few that has not had any major reworks or overhauls to his skills. Many have been completely redone, others have only had single abilities replaced or changed, but Amumu has always had the same Passive and 4 skills. I think his Passive got changed a tiny bit in its effect, but it still applies the same way and acts similar. Honestly, besides tuning damage ratios and range on his ultimate/bandage toss, the biggest change he's gotten was rather recent, and thats that he can hold up to two charges of bandage toss. Annie, Nasus, and Malphite are also ones thats have received little to no changes. Others like Sion, Kayle, Warwick, and Taric received full blown reworks and basically became entirely new champions.
I'd Say check out and of the Character Trailer videos next because alot of them are fun and can help clue you in to more of the lore to this world, Runeterra, and the continent where it happens, Valoran. Or ANNIE: Origins, that ones both amazing visually and storytelling-wise, but leaves you similar to this one, heartbroken.
Amumu was a prince, that was affected by ancient curse, and now roams realms for ages without any prior knowledge of who he was.
His curse is killing anyone who dares to approach him.
Song tells a version where curse is about to solidify, where he still could have some human contact, but noone wanted to, because of a curse.

If you want another dive into a character's origins, then Annie is a good one.
If you want to fall back to more "typical" league songs, then I would advise "Burn it all down"
If you feel the need to see some live performance, then I Recommend the 2022 Opening Ceremony (since you wanted to react to Jackson Wang anyway, it'd be 2 birds in one stone)
Lastly, if you want something more cinematic oriented, "The Ruination" seems like a good pick.
so in the canon of league of legends whe dont know why or who cursed amumu, we dont even know if he exist at all or he is just a mith. but the histories tell us that is curse will wither away any living being he touches, plants animal and even people. so even if he finds people he could not come closer to them or they just die. in the game is habilities are "bandage throw" where he launch swing like spiderman closer to the target (like he didi to the moon in the video) also the "tantrum" is actually is final Hability in game, where he create a big zone of tangled bandages that stun everyone inside.

the reason the curse has won is, he can try to slowly build a relationship if the curse only killing those who touch him, but it backs him up so much into corner that he made himself lonely by his tantrum. who would try to understand a walking disaster now.

Amumu is supposed to be a Legend told by people native, and we do not know yet if Amumu truly exists-although If you look closely, you can see the things surrounding him dying because of Amumu!

There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. Not as powerful in game as in the lore ofc cuz that would be silly. When you pick him in game he says "I thought you'd never pick me" and the other champions are super mean to him, aswell as the skins hahaha. It's absolutely awful. He's just a boy :((((((((((

you should look more into the starguardian stuff, even porter robinson did a music collab with them. theres Burning bright(music) > into a new horizon with ahri(cinematic) > into light and shadow which u reacted to already, > into porter robinsons everything goes on, your kinda missing out only doing the one
