Why was the Singapore blue standing like that?!?!!!! Was that a defensive thing? Or a pose thing? So interesting! That P. Regalia is STUNNING. She looked painted.

Perfect start to my week - thank you! Those plants all look great too. I can't get moss to take in any of my enclosures. It always goes dry/brown after a few months. I'm not sure why as there's plenty of moisture and I use rainwater.

    Hello Dave
Having only "found you" recently and with some requests for a tour of the Beastie Room all i can say is WOW. Thank you and thanks go to your "sidekick" with the camera.
You have a large collection of spiders and i know there are all shapes, size, colours and temperament but the first spider you show the P Formosa. How beautiful are the markings
Also the regalis spider has wonderful markings and very beautiful
At 7.42 another beautiful spider - with more "hair" brown and creamy colour markings
I also find it interesting looking at the webs they make
Also those roaches- they are in a way the food chain but quite beautiful themselves
A varied collection you have also

An incredible amount of time, love and thought gone into that room - there’s a couple of channels that absolutely infuriate me after seeing yours Dave, a truly stunning collection - all out ‘n’ about and happy. I love the thought that’s gone into each enclosure, it’s saddening to see how some keep their spiders - bald abdomens because they’re all skittish and running about, banging on the plastic enclosures, being rough and disrespectful with them to move them out the way so water can be topped up etc. I love this channel, it’s fascinating, and educational through every stage of the life cycle. You should be extremely proud of what you’ve accomplished here and the level of care and husbandry constantly changing to get the best from each spider - some of the males are huge, they must make for an interesting pairing, I’ve only seen smaller males - makes sense though seeing as they wander so far. Brilliant video, thanks guys! 👍💙

Thank you for the tour. You have an amazing collection! The Beastie Room certainly reflects the love you have for all the beasties under your expert care. The centipede and the roaches, however, give me the willies. How do you remove a cockroach without escapees? Thanks for another great Monday morning start.

I think it's so neat how sister spiders like your carabiner versicolors (I'm sure I misspelled that, sorry) behave so different from each other. One of the enclosures was really webbed up and her sisters enclosure has almost no webbing.

You are absolutely right about lack of stress, no hair kicking etc, it is at least as important as the other conditions. If not more so. It is so obvious looking at your whole collection that all your beasties are confident and happy, not feeling any need to hide…they are all just lolling about chilling! Lovely to see. I wish the people that think constant threat poses are entertaining would take a leaf out of your book.
The habitats are beautiful, they look like little bits of the wild lifted up and put in the tank. The centipedes piece of wood looks like a bird skull!
Faultless husbandry and interesting information ❤️

I've never seen someone who had a large collection of spiders the way you do, have their spiders stay out and about in the open so often. It's a testament to your care for them. Also, I believe they feel safe to be out because you don't handle them unless it's strictly necessary. They know they aren't going to be messed with when you open that door.

Enjoyed the tour of the beastie room. I have my roaches, but not hissing cockroaches. Got my Dubias Breeding, my red runners breeding, and now my locusts are breeding. Haven't bough the fruit fly cultures yet, but will do. I don't use live plants in my tanks, only myself and plants just never work 🤦. Feeding the inverts which I've several, and then all 18 cats is enough. ( Apparently I'm not allowed a zoo 🤷) Oh well 😂🤣
