This reminds me so much of doing railfanning along Amtrak's Northeast Corridor. There's a mix of freight trains, multiple-unit passenger trains, locomotive-hauled trains, and locomotives without trains (I don't know what the British slang is but in North America they're called "deadhead" or "light engin moves"). Great video.
Several things, great video, loved the catch of "Battle of Britain", the 66 appears to be the Mr. Everywhere freight loco, and I love the bird song at both stations. Can't wait to get back to the UK to experience it all again. Well done
Another cracking video, always a good mix of freight & passenger. Fitzwilliam another station to visit. Thank you Pete.
Thanks mate it can be quite surprising some days there , there was a couple of no shows but it was a good time.

Thanks Paul. Interesting to share the similarities, and they are called light engine movements, or running solo when the engine is on its own.
For someone who loves trains but cant railfan, this is something fun!

Thanks Mate , yeah the 66's are a bit 2 a penny lol 😆, well hope the birds sing well for you when you come over 👍
Time stamp 5:06 wow tank cars look like saddle backs any particular reason for such a hump???
I think they are cement cars... but not sure
They are cement wagons, I think there designed that way to aid in flow out of the tank.
Cool!
