As someone who has been playing this game since they were like 9 and having deleted at least 3 separate accounts, I can definitely see where you're coming from. I don't hate this game (in fact I think I'm addicted) but I cannot overlook the massive amount of enormous flaws from the repetitive and lame stage design outside of a few event stages, absurd amount of grinding and proneness to huge powercreep. I think the peak of my enjoyment of Battle Cats was doing Cats of the Cosmos chapter 1-3 and around the half-way point of stories of legends. After finishing those I felt like I finally completed the game yet... I'm still not done. Finishing Stories of Legends was fun but I felt like I got burned out and seeing there's another journey I have to take just after that was just so mind breaking. had my account for 4 years and play it on and off in bursts, you are bound to get sick of this game js, im right where hackey is introduced and i rarely play sol anymore, i enjoye the lil cat stages bc they were fun to beat, but sol becomes repetitive garbage man
I like battle cats a lot... I’ve only been playing it for like 3 months though, but I am kind of stuck in the point where I just have to grind and I made some fatal mistakes in the beginning. Like chawsey I traded my regular cat tickets in for xp because I was unaware of the fact extra cat tickets would upgrade the unit so have about half manic cats and only half regular true forms lol. I would restart the game but appreciate the ubers I do have right now too much. Anyways battle cat creators really do need to put in some work and add some new things. More special stages etc because it is easy to oversaturate quickly in this game and do everything there is to do quickly
No worry I played a bit longer then you and made the fatal mistake of single rolling and selling most of my super rares not knowing np and extra upgrades are a lot better I just had to grind collabs and take advantage of everything I get plus facing danger gives a lot of cat tickets too
I did the same with terraria and factorio because of doing to many things at once and burnt out Also my first account i only got to I sol 2-3 and in itf chapter 1 India on my new account I’m at the end of sol and have done everything story wise up to cotc chapter 2
I think that is a extremely good game, the problem is how repetitive is. It has good soundtracks, good mechanics, is funny and it has good enemies, but it becomes borung after replaying 160 times moon :/(source: me lmao)
This is definitely relateable. I quitted playing battle cats around last year. The further you get into the game, the less inspiring it become. Stages are re-used too much and new contents are mostly just baron stages and a new boring UL chapter with 5-8 new stages. However, crash fever collab 2020 was when i think that PONOS really stoped trying. Literally just a rerun, no new stage, no new unit, not even a stupid baron stage on an already small collab. And then merc storia reran just to get a baron stage. Why ????? Now i just return to battle cats once in a while to see if PONOS decide to make something fun and the rest of my time either go to socialize with friends/family or got spent into grinding in crash fever/perfecting touhou . Welp, i think that's all i have to say and i hope that you see this. Still waiting for ponos to make something fun and creative
ponos doesnt even add anything fun all he does is just add some trash enemies and ubers only plus there isnt a pity metre on the single spin and its very unfair that you need everything ubers for behemoth stages which is very unfair for others because the uber you might get in cats in cats of the cosmos chapter 3 is very crappy you might get ice queen cat which is crappy for behemoth stages
lets also talk about the trash rng the treasures is rigged i had to collect one into the future chapter 1 treasure 11 whole times i could agree with boogle said also plus he has a very good reason
and plus you need requirements for most of the stages and you need alot of rares to get it and you might get a dupe and this game is big pay to win also because it took me 1 whole month for literally 1500 catfood there isnt good grinding if you dont spend catfood then guaranteed you will never make 16500 catfood would probably take you a year
I started playing Battle Cats at the end of September 2022. The game takes a lot of patience and ALOT of grinding. The same old stages boosted with the same units. This is bit like clashe royale with the battle selecting system. The best thing about is when you have completed a stage. During the stage you are in frenzy, and it can be depressing if your units get unlucky on certain stages. I recommend the game to anyone with a long attention span. If you do not get lucky at the start you will have to grind a hell amount. I stopped playing the game for 2 weeks, realising that the game can interfere with your life. Worst of all, the account saving system is dodgy. Unlike Supercell, you can save your account to your email. With Battle Cats, data transfers can go wrong if you have bad Wi-Fi. If you lose your account and forgotten the data code, you have lost it forever. Ponos is likely to respond from a range 3-5 days, which is not bad. However, if on holiday it could be up to a month which is not good enough. To summarise, I still enjoy the game, but remember to take breaks and don't push too hard at the beginning. Enjoy the game but keep that in the back of your mind if you are reading this!
Battle cats is difficult to smoothly progress for me because unless you’ve maxed out your basic cats/gacha or you’re a strategic genius, I can’t progress quickly. (or maybe have the gacha to cheese constantly) I also used to waste exp by xp spreading (dedicate all your exp into ONE unit to max it at a time, do NOT upgrade multiple at a time)
Why even have ubers if you’re not gonna use them. Ubercarrying is like weight loss. It’s ok to do it, but there’s a limit. While ubercarrying is one thing, uberDEPENDANT is another(emphasis on dependant). It’s one thing to use 3 or more ubers in a lineup, but it’s something else to do everytime you open a level. I’m not saying people who do this don’t have any skill whatsoever, but they also need to experience doing a stage without ubers like jizo, gao, d’art, et cedera. That’s my stance on the topic. I don’t know about everyone else, but yeah. Thanks for looking at my TED talk.
Sucks to know some people don't like this game. I for one have never found this game boring and I've been playing battlecats since early 2015 and I still very much enjoy playing this game 😅
I agree, I sometimes do hate battle cats too because of the cat energy and how you need to spend 30 cat food on it and leaderships are pretty difficult to get and there are 3 stages that I got stuck on, #1: Gestalt, Decay #2: At least, I’m a cat #3: Beautiful Finale. So that’s why I agree with Boogle on this one!
@@illias777 inquiry code does help, i actually deleted my account a year ago to take a break from the game, and i got it back recently by giving my inquiry code to ponos support
Well, thanks to you and your guides i beated ITF2 and finally feel that i'm making real progress now, after 5 years since y lost my first account this year i'm gonna do all the progress i can until i get bored :')
They aren't going to improve it in any big ways because they don't have to. The majority of their cash flow is coming from new - middle of the roadish players so with that being said why would they ever cater strongly towards the endgame old player base? In the end it comes right down to the scummy nature of mobile games as a whole. It's a shame but there's really nothing you can do. I'd honestly pay triple A release money. 60 bucks to just buy the game with energy turned off but that's just not happening either.
Critic Sins (No offense to you) 1. The Gacha system is either too painful or abused easily The system of Gacha is actually a bit less-painful if you spend your Tickets and Cat Food wisely. 2. Tons of SoL stages are recycled I don't know when this was made, but rarely (if ever) is a stage ever recycled or recreated, even featuring unique combinations of rewards and even Cat units or True Forms. 3. Update drought Due to how much PONOS tried to perfect this game, it cannot find any more good updates. 4. Target audience is children There's at least twelve oversexualized characters in this game. Also, this game is targeted for teenagers. It even says so on Google Play.
I bet the dislikes are all people who have gotten nothing but pure luck in battle cats and threw a tantrum that somebody else has there own opinion different from there’s your defiantly making a point and the game has many flaws like you stated (in case your one of those dislikes reading this and saying “oh he’s probably just being biased and got nothing good from gacha” well no I just got emperor cat (legend rare) from gacha so instead of praising the game I’m just trying to not be biased)
To be fair, ponos is pretty generous with cat food and other rewards all things considered. If you spend cat food reasonably smartly you should have most of the units you need. And if not you can always just track.
Probably. I have extreme luck in the game but I understand why people would dislike this game. I mean, it’s a gacha game that can only be played on mobile that has anime girls in it. Some people will obviously hate it for that
I personally have a love/hate relationship with the game Love: the game gave me a taste for weird/surreal Japanese media and the community is great Hate: The Flaws become super noticeable the further in you get and sometimes the game can get super boring
I used to grind the shit out of this game but I realized I was basically wasting my life away on a mobile app so I stopped, 4 years later I still think that was a great decision.
To be honest, the only thing I hate about it is when I have literally less than 5 cat food. When I lose it says “You can ask the cat god” WHEN IM NOT EVEN ABLE TO BUY ANYTHING
I got introduced by watching someone on the bus play this game (crazed axe) so I played the game and over the weekend, I beat chapter 1, and me and him became pretty good friends over this game and some other ones
I agree with you Boogle.. Some times this game was boring and too flat coz the grindy..but remember ponos give some update .. hope this game more interesting to play it.. The reason i keep playing battle cat is to show my friends about how far progress i achieved every day in this game.. btw, keep to produce videos tutorial..😀😀
Even though in the video you said all new content was stale and boring, that was before 2021. Now, how would you rate the Aku realm, newest uncanny legends stages, behemoth stages, and content in general during 2021/2022? Is it an improvement compared to updates before 2021?
The reason why I hate battle cats is that I got a cool uber called Aphrodite, but she disappointed me so much as her standing range doesn't even seem far for a "super sniper". I play too much line rangers, their standing range for their units is technically the whole map, so my standards were high when it comes to range
I agree with most of your opinion there, and one thing I'd like to point out is the Treasure hunting for Chapters, currently I'm grinding for ItF 2, so I can beat Valkyrie, with the Treasure Festival on, and honestly, I think the RNG on that is bullshit. I've done one stage 9 times just to get a Inferior one. And that kind of ticks me off sometimes. But yeah, good video. Also, I used, and am using your Crazed/Manic guide videos, and they're great, so, thanks.
it takes way too long to grind for gacha pulls and the stages feel repetitive so it feels really frustrating when u dont get a uber or legend rare from pulls (since its so hard to grind for cat food) and when u cant progress further due to not having a specific uber rare
something similar happened to me but with a different game "Terraria", basically i loved it, i remember making lots of worlds and even starting all over again because i wanted to buy the game on steam, when i completed it i still played it but with mods and thats the only reason i have 800+ hours, the developers made something similar with an update, they basically recycled existant difficulty simply boosting enemies and adding vanities for rewards, dont get me wrong the 1.4 update added lots of things to it making the game better, but still i dont feel like playing it rn, i play BC in like free time, i dont give lots of dedication for it bcuz i use a lot more my pc but i think i would be in the same spot like you if i played it like terraria. I hope you see this bye :p
I have recently made a new battle cats account after it either being stolen or something happened. It says it’s data is currently on a different device. I had all my stuff on there and stuff that I bought from there. I have been wanting to get it back but I don’t know how to contact ponos on my gmail. What should I do? I’m also on mobile.
I was finally getting good in battle cats: I beat queen b, I beat COC ch1, and then my save was deleted. So I started over and I’m pretty much back to where I started.
I'm also one of those people that gets stuck to something and csnt give it up, I dont play many games but have a few thousand hours on each. I also agree that dokkan has a MUCH better gacha system.
My Patience and Motivation I got when i saw aphrodite in a Showcase was like 4 years? Deleting and Re-downloading and Coming back each year just to delete it again
I've played battle cats for a year now. Completed sol 1-4 star, UL 1 star (still waiting for the updates), all advent bosses, and I'm still not bored at the game. Maybe I'm still not satisfied on my achievements because my goal in BC is to have 10k user rank (my UR is 9k so it's getting close).
@will guerreiro even with the shutdown that a lot of dedication and sorry to tell you but i found that pretty sad this a game with a energy system and the game is not designed to be rush down under one year but if your happy to play it like that feel free it's a game to pass time after all
"battle cats is for kids" Bondage cat, Adult can and dom cat: Allow us to introduce ourselves and yeah Battlecats does get tiresome. But at the same time, its because it's a simplistic game at its core: the only terrain variation is the space between the two bases, all units (yours and enemies) have the most basic of programming and only one attack (walk towards enemies, stop moving once in range, they use attack until no enemy is in range, repeat), of course with a structure like this there is pretty obvious limits.
I respect your reasons and hey i can relate but i cant stop playing for basically multiple reasons but ima list 2 1: i just love the games design with the units on both sides being cat or enemy they are goofy, cute, badass etc 2: mostly to get my 2 fave ubers from my previous acc (baby cat and lesser demon) and basically go through the game with a vengence considering that acc with those 2 was on my old phone which got shut down by google cause it was old

had my account for 4 years and play it on and off in bursts, you are bound to get sick of this game js, im right where hackey is introduced and i rarely play sol anymore, i enjoye the lil cat stages bc they were fun to beat, but sol becomes repetitive garbage man
I like battle cats a lot...
No worry I played a bit longer then you and made the fatal mistake of single rolling and selling most of my super rares not knowing np and extra upgrades are a lot better I just had to grind collabs and take advantage of everything I get plus facing danger gives a lot of cat tickets too
wow... I opened RUclips at the perfect moment
Me too

totally understandable, i had to take a year off battle cats because it was just too boring for me as well.
Same for me. As a person who has reset battle cats multiple times, I can relate.
I did the same with terraria and factorio because of doing to many things at once and burnt out
Also my first account i only got to I sol 2-3 and in itf chapter 1 India on my new account I’m at the end of sol and have done everything story wise up to cotc chapter 2
I think that is a extremely good game, the problem is how repetitive is. It has good soundtracks, good mechanics, is funny and it has good enemies, but it becomes borung after replaying 160 times moon :/(source: me lmao)
1000 times moon: 💀
👍
They add new stuff now
ponos doesnt even add anything fun all he does is just add some trash enemies and ubers only plus there isnt a pity metre on the single spin and its very unfair that you need everything ubers for behemoth stages which is very unfair for others because the uber you might get in cats in cats of the cosmos chapter 3 is very crappy you might get ice queen cat which is crappy for behemoth stages
lets also talk about the trash rng the treasures is rigged i had to collect one into the future chapter 1 treasure 11 whole times i could agree with boogle said also plus he has a very good reason
and plus you need requirements for most of the stages and you need alot of rares to get it and you might get a dupe and this game is big pay to win also because it took me 1 whole month for literally 1500 catfood there isnt good grinding if you dont spend catfood then guaranteed you will never make 16500 catfood would probably take you a year
I started playing Battle Cats at the end of September 2022.
I did the same
him: hates battle cats
him also : plays battle cats and makes tutorials
addiction is a scary thing :v
He only plays when he makes videos

I do agree with you, Boogle. I have nearly stopped playing BC because of repetitiveness
Battle cats is difficult to smoothly progress for me because unless you’ve maxed out your basic cats/gacha or you’re a strategic genius, I can’t progress quickly. (or maybe have the gacha to cheese constantly) I also used to waste exp by xp spreading (dedicate all your exp into ONE unit to max it at a time, do NOT upgrade multiple at a time)
Unlike boogle, I deleted battle cats because it got boring and my storage is shit.
Edit: boogle just mentioned me, for 2 seconds in a comedic way.

You know what I hate? People who say ubercarrying is bad.
Yeah there is nothing wrong with ubercarry some people just got lucky so idk why people hate ubercarry
being uber independat(i dont know how to spell it but its the people who can play using ubers always and dont know what SR or R are good)its bad

No.
Sucks to know some people don't like this game. I for one have never found this game boring and I've been playing battlecats since early 2015 and I still very much enjoy playing this game 😅
The only thing that I hate about that game is the energy
Energy glitch also it has energy so you can't just play it all day the game is saying to play something else or go outside and touch grass
agreed
Caught you putting int Gogeta's theme, what a banger
I agree, I sometimes do hate battle cats too because of the cat energy and how you need to spend 30 cat food on it and leaderships are pretty difficult to get and there are 3 stages that I got stuck on, #1: Gestalt, Decay #2: At least, I’m a cat #3: Beautiful Finale. So that’s why I agree with Boogle on this one!
This sounds the same as my journey, so many accounts lost. Currently string at 8k and 4k on my accounts.

this is the correct mindset
They aren't going to improve it in any big ways because they don't have to. The majority of their cash flow is coming from new - middle of the roadish players so with that being said why would they ever cater strongly towards the endgame old player base?
In the end it comes right down to the scummy nature of mobile games as a whole. It's a shame but there's really nothing you can do. I'd honestly pay triple A release money. 60 bucks to just buy the game with energy turned off but that's just not happening either.
Why do you sound like you’re about to cry at any moment in the video
Its just how his voice work
He kinda sounds like corpse idk
Critic Sins
(No offense to you)
1. The Gacha system is either too painful or abused easily
The system of Gacha is actually a bit less-painful if you spend your Tickets and Cat Food wisely.
2. Tons of SoL stages are recycled
I don't know when this was made, but rarely (if ever) is a stage ever recycled or recreated, even featuring unique combinations of rewards and even Cat units or True Forms.
3. Update drought
Due to how much PONOS tried to perfect this game, it cannot find any more good updates.
4. Target audience is children
There's at least twelve oversexualized characters in this game.
Some people will obviously hate it for that
I personally have a love/hate relationship with the game
Love: the game gave me a taste for weird/surreal Japanese media and the community is great
Hate: The Flaws become super noticeable the further in you get and sometimes the game can get super boring
I’m in my mid age I love battle cats because the dam stages are hard to beat . An I appreciate your help to me an others hope you don’t give up 👍🏼
What's the gameplay in the background? Genshin Impact?
yeah im pretty sure
I used to grind the shit out of this game but I realized I was basically wasting my life away on a mobile app so I stopped, 4 years later I still think that was a great decision.
Real chad
as a person who didn't watch any of the livestreams I'm confused
Same.
To be honest, the only thing I hate about it is when I have literally less than 5 cat food.
When I lose it says “You can ask the cat god” WHEN IM NOT EVEN ABLE TO BUY ANYTHING
Ladies and gentlemen!! That is called a burnout. Take a few months break from the game. Come back again. See now its fun
I got introduced by watching someone on the bus play this game (crazed axe) so I played the game and over the weekend, I beat chapter 1, and me and him became pretty good friends over this game and some other ones
Couldn't help but laugh when i clicked on this video to see this dude playing genshin impact saying the battle cats is trash
Oh boy definitely didn’t see this coming 😉
I agree with you Boogle.. Some times this game was boring and too flat coz the grindy..but remember ponos give some update .. hope this game more interesting to play it.. The reason i keep playing battle cat is to show my friends about how far progress i achieved every day in this game.. btw, keep to produce videos tutorial..😀😀
Him: “I hate battle cats”
Also him: *finishes the final stage of sol*
Even though in the video you said all new content was stale and boring, that was before 2021. Now, how would you rate the Aku realm, newest uncanny legends stages, behemoth stages, and content in general during 2021/2022? Is it an improvement compared to updates before 2021?
The reason why I hate battle cats is that I got a cool uber called Aphrodite, but she disappointed me so much as her standing range doesn't even seem far for a "super sniper". I play too much line rangers, their standing range for their units is technically the whole map, so my standards were high when it comes to range
“I hate battle cats but I’m not leaving it any time soon”
Everyone feels this way… this addiction doesn’t go
But you made good guides that really helped :[
I mean he ain’t ganna quit for a bit and said he will do everything before he quit so there will be a guild

did you even watch the video, "Heres an uin depth guide on how to watch a video..." im jk
"battle cats is for kids"
Bondage cat, Adult can and dom cat: Allow us to introduce ourselves
and yeah Battlecats does get tiresome.
I respect your reasons and hey i can relate but i cant stop playing for basically multiple reasons but ima list 2
1: i just love the games design with the units on both sides being cat or enemy they are goofy, cute, badass etc
2: mostly to get my 2 fave ubers from my previous acc (baby cat and lesser demon) and basically go through the game with a vengence considering that acc with those 2 was on my old phone which got shut down by google cause it was old
The like to dislike ratio on this vid is unfair. They just look at the title and be like “F##K YOU” instead of watching the damned vid.
