Went to an RV show yesterday. Went through multiple Thor RVs. Class A&C plus Trailers. All had misaligned interior doors that rubbed the jambs. Shower walls were skewed to the bases and caulk missing in spots. Would never even consider.
You should do a reviews on - Gulf Stream Conquest/Ameri-lite/Innsbruck, they are the same camper just with a different decal saying something different. - Coachmen VIKING/CLIPPER - Coachmen Freedom Express
Can you post a review of an "A" rated RV? I know you did the Taylor but those are way too small for a family. Are there any brands you trust? I'm interested in fifth wheels that can be pulled by a 3/4 ton truck.
I've never owned an RV. Never traveled in one. But I would like to. So your insights are invaluable to me. But I was surprised by your conclusion that $23K for a new "you get what you pay for C grade trailer" that comes with many cheap materials, poorly put together is "budget friendly." I think few people would feel satisfied that they got what they paid for. Buying a new trailer seems to be somewhat a game of Russian Roulette. With your tips to guide me, I'll be looking at a used RV and have it inspected by a professional.
I have a bunch of pinch crimped flex hose that I plan on replacing with pex. This includes flex hose crimped to the water pump fittings. I was reading the instructions for my Shurflo and it said the pump was supposed to be connected with flex pipes. I'm stumped as to the best practice for connecting it up. Would you consider doing a video on properly connecting a water pump?
I have no idea if all water pumps are made with just the hard pex fitting ends, my guess is they are, but that would be a clue what hose to use! I've heard him say the only reason soft flex is used is because it helps dappen the pumps noise, but using the flex on a pex fitting will guarantee a leak eventually. And that he says is a personal choice when it comes to water pumps, do u want to deal with less noise (flex) and eventually a leak or not. 🍻
@@SpykersB The Shurflo instructions say this, "Shurflo recommends at least 1 ft. (0.3m) of 1/2" (13mm) I.D. flexible high pressure tubing to both ports. Ideally the pump's ports/strainer should not be connected to plastic or rigid pipe. The pump's normal oscillation may transmit through rigid plumbing causing noise, and possibly loosen or crack components."
@@Rickmakes Interesting. Now I'm really curious if the port ends are actually proper flex connectors? If so then use flex. But if not, that maybe where the personal choice then comes into play. 🍻

A smal one and she found the 2024 wolf den 16ev. All elect. The unit is rather nice. Haven't looked at one yet. I just don't know about all electric. Just says trouble to me. Have you ever looked at one and if so what did you think. I am going to take your course on burying rv. I ran across your video by accident. I am very happy to have found it. I watch a lot of RV related videos. Most have very little value and, many are just bloated old men lecturing while pretending to not be lecturing. Your videos, on the other hand, add more value than any of the other videos I watch and it’s not even close! On a sidenote, I would never buy any Forest River product. In addition to their, seemingly, substandard belts, at RV show, we dealt with some of these slimier sales people we have ever encountered. They could literally make the best RV on the planet (they don’t) and after dealing with those folks, I still wouldn’t buy one.
I’m almost on year 4 of living in and traveling all over the US and Baja in my Wolf Pup 16BHS black label adventure package and haven’t had many issues other than a blown tire and I crashed the ac into a tree. I have had to repair the plumbing under the sink and at the city water connection but caught it early. I am thinking about getting another FR camper, but thinking a Work and Play 23LT toy hauler. Any chance you have looked at them?
It's mind blowing that RV makers are going over to electric only refrigerators. Most state parks have no power on the campsite. This change is lunacy. The 3 way 110/12V/Propane frig's were great. Dumb!

I was watching an indepth video recently, and unfortunately nearly ALL new RV's are junk. The RV's a few years old and prior are much better quality than today's new RV's. The quality is garbage, and they all make it extremely troublesome to try to get anything repaired under warranty.
I have a 2022 Wolfpup 14CC. Overall, I've been happy with the quality. But, it looks like it has flexible tubing secured with PEX clamps around the water pump. What is the best way to fix this?

Unless you spend big money on an Airstream I'd be surprised if there exists a sub 6000lbs GVWR trailer with "A" grade cabinets and countertops.
As of 1980, Airstream is owned by Thor.
