I cant believe my own country for the 1st time in my life shattered my heart on personal level. The funny thing is I know nothing about palestine or the people. First time I actually realized it was a country with human beings living within was after oct 7th. So I also have to say this just might of have been the first time in my life I can confidently say the tears that run through me and the feelings I have received is the most genuine feelings and judgements we all make as human being is the truest undebateable natural and the cleanest emotions and not only that, I am a better person today and brought down the years of barriers our own media and politicians poisoned us with. To me Free Palestine could have 2 scenarios: -
1. One-State solution, where all Palestinians and Israelis live in one country with a democratic system. Every citizen has equal rights, with a 2-party system, like in Western countries. This one is the one I call "From the River to Sea". This system won't give the Israelis the majority in parliament, which is the fairest.
2. Two-State solution. Israel, where Israelis rule, and Palestine, where Palestinians rule. Surely this one doesn't fit the description of "From the River to Sea", but probably the best that can be achieved, and this is what the world is pushing.

My daughter gave me this book entitled "Sitti's Bird - A Gaza Story" for Mother's Day. It is written about the author's experience as a young girl living in Gaza when it was under seige in 2014. (She is an artist, so the illustrations are amazing!) I recommend this as a gift for all Sittis (or grandmas) whose hearts are with the children of Gaza. It is something you can read to your grandchildren.
