@@scallywaggin What's naive about it? I know this was their reason. And it worked - for me. So I'm happy about the way things went. Of course I feel bad for the people in very rural areas, but for me, living in a mid-sized town, it's nice the way it is now.
The reason was so they could get people out so they could generate more profit from location data. I guess the community coming back was a positive byproduct of their corporate greed.
I ended up with 20 shinies and 3 hundos, one of which was a Shundo I also ended up getting a Shnundo Axew from the raid spawns after the initial event which was really cool. Hope everyone else's community days went well :)

Today I got a shiny Uxie from a remote raid invite from Australia. And then I got a 100 IV Mesprit at an in-person raid in India, within a span of less than 1 hour.
Did well, only played an hour and got 11 shinies, one .Nice to see you out with the crew, all having fun. Our community it still a bit fragmented since COVID. Looking forward to Osaka, and hoping to get back into that vibe again.

For example, Ditto, Kecleon, Room etc. Legendary and mythical pokemon. Shadow pokemon community day, all pokemon in the wild pokemon surrounded by purple aura. In season of hidden gem, in June event focuses on beach. When come to July focus on sea? That why July water type community day will feature Poliwag and community day classic Squirtle.? In the incoming of Manaphy and Phione?! This is huge.
I got enough candy and xl candy to 50 max the hundo Axew that I hatched on Togetic Community Day. So far it is up to cp3754 as a Haxorous. I need more dust. My big win on the day is a purified hundo Articuno. Yes, it was more powerful as a shadow, but I prefer a 100% useless over a 13/14/13 shadow useless.
I got a shundo. Was surprised because it never happens on comm day. You must be using map trackers for those hundos. They seemed like the most random spots.
Bruh I got 64 shiny larvitars from the classic cday this year, so yeah thats my highest amount of shinies I got from cday (except December recap cday 2022)
1 caught 5 shundo but still not happy because My phone has 3 gb ram and game crash after 20-30 min. for next 30 min. i did not check 9 hundos and get axew candies.
Shundo hunting on CD is fun, but also makes it feel not as rare. Maps on CD are kind of broken. My first shundo was a Metagross on OG Beldum CD, but it wasn’t found using a map, just local callouts. Still, congrats to everyone that nabbed one!

im confused how do you tell what cp the hundos are? the whole time i was looking at a chart that said to look for 1173cp which i never found but im sure i just transfered them since i wasnt checking the stats since the guide said to cook for 1173cp for the hundo. i feel like i wasted 3 hours didnt get a single one
All I wanted a hundo and after walking about 20 km yesterday still didn't get it, I don't understand how Niantic expects us to compete in ML when the hundos are more common only if you have scanners. All top players like yourself and FleeceKing use them (even though indirectly), I wish hundos were more common during comdays as I am still hunting a hundo gible 2 years after the comday and now axew is in the list as well.
It's wasn't that good for me too many Wailmer and other randoms was showing up but I mananged 8 shinies best I got was 2* but i already had 2 from go fest last year so i only wanted one for my first Haxorus which was a shiny dex entry for me

Wasn't really a special Pokemon. So I played Community Day from home, with incense, and still caught a Hundo!
I caught over 500. Got 20 shinies. No hundos. Only one 98%. Rest were 93% or below.

They probably have some local Discord server with people calling out hundos.
