I used a new dryer sheet to start but then kept reusing the same dryer sheet. My dryer sheets are 1 ply, I folded in half. I think the type of dryer sheet may also play a role. My dryer sheets don't have the heavy residue found in many dryer sheets. I think if you find one that is safer for the environment that would be a good choice. I've had this box for years, as many years ago I stopped using dryer sheets. Hope this helps, let me know if you try it😉
