I have a strategy for a Pokémon you haven't featured yet in a video: Bellibolt. Bellibolt gets a signature ability called Electromorphosis, which powers up the next Electric move it uses after it gets hit. Plus, it gets access to Soak, which turns the opponent into a Water type. So, Bellibolt can deal a STAB, Electromorphosis-boosted, super effective hit to just about anything. Slap an Expert belt on it to further boost those super eppective hits and, with its base 103 Special Attack, that frog can hit like a truck. As far as moves go, I'd recommend: Soak (for the reason mentioned above) Parabolic Charge (for health recovery) Electroweb (for Speed control, since Bellibolt is very slow) Sucker Punch (for coverage and priority) If you don't want to risk Electroweb's lower accuracy, I'd recommend Thunderbolt as an alternative option. And for any VGC players, I'd recommend pairing Bellibolt with Gothitelle running Shadow Tag, so that opponents can't switch out to negate Soak's effect.
Since discovering your channel you've got me hooked lol. Been having a blast watching your videos and so hyped to see a new one! I didn't even know you could play full team singles but as a doubles players you got me so interested in singles shenanigans!!
Honest question: why not use fire tera? Boosts flamethrower, resists fairy, bug, fire and ice (freeze-dry included). Plus, some weaknesses you gain (ground and water) are types you previously resisted.
@@user-AADZ super weak defense bc it's big move is shell smash and requires white herb, and it's big stabs all have recoil+weak to bug, fire, ice, flying
@user-AADZ 95/105 physical defenses seem good in a vacuum, but remember that Tangrowth was introduced in the same generation with a 100/125 physical spread that absolutely blows it out of the water. When a Pokemon that is a turtle _and_ a tree _and_ and an ankylosaur has lower HP + Defense than a walking jumble of vines, you know OP was telling the truth.
Imagine seeing a palm tree monster twisting the dimensions and the fabric of reality to run as fast as possible to kick your ass. That is the terror the mons in this video experienced.
THAT"S MY BOY! Alolan Exeggutor was a key player in a team that peaked at 8th in gen 8 national dex. I still use him routinely in gen 9 national dex. I'm not quite as successful, but it's nearly the same team, and tends to hover around 1600. And the set has some real similarities. It was on a combined Sun+Trick Room team. Most Trick Room setters are weak to dark and/or ghost. Exeggutor provided a unique typing that synergized well with the rest of the team. My set was: Sitrus Berry, Harvest Draco Meteor, Flamethrower, Substitute, Trick Room. He did all sorts of wild things. He's the most fun thing I've ever used. He could often get a substitute up during Trick Room. If he can keep it until Trick Room wears off, he gets to set a fresh Trick Room. There are actually a lot of opportunities here given how hard Draco Meteor hits. Outside of Trick Room, he'd outspeed Ferrothorn, which couldn't break the substitute unless it carried iron head. 1 shot it with Flamethrower. He can stall out opposing weather or screens with substitute. If initially setting up Trick Room with the sun, and something knocks him down to lets say, 20% HP, he immediately recovers to 45 %, thenHarvests up to 70% with Trick Room up. And if he can nab a KO, he'll then get ANOTHER and be at 70% with a berry. Or a sub, or whatever. He takes basically no damage from Gyro Ball, Heat Crash and Heavy Slam. While he has 6 weaknesses, Stakataka resists, or is immune to ALL of them. Dragon, Poison, Bug, Fairy, Flying, Ice. As a Trick Roomer, Paralysis isn't a big deal, Burn just makes it so Sitrus Berry activates more frequently, which is actually helpful, and he's immune to Spore/Sleep Powder. Toxic is a pain, but substitute can often block it, and repeated Sitrus Berry means he can offset it pretty well. He can use entry hazards to heal. I've been in desparate situations where I need to prevent a sweep. I've got Exeggutor at 65% HP. Swap him on on stealth rock, down to 53.5. Swap him out led death fodder die, down to 41%, Sitrus Berry back to 65%. Predict a Z-Fly or Z-Bounce, swap into Stakataka, then swap back, and Gyarados/Landorus won't be able to do much. You can just use Trick Room and Substitute to play around regular Fly/Bounce. He's got 4x resists to BOTH of Rotom's stab options. He'd use Substitute to manage time. Sometimes, he'd just used it to stall out the last turn of sun so Torkoal could swap in at the right time to set up a fresh one. If he's got Trick Room or a substitute active, he can use substitute to stall out Mega Charizard Y's sun and ruin the potency of Weather Ball. A surprising number of things can't break the substitute. Toxapex, Ferrothorn, and Rotom tended to be the top examples. He could use Sustitute to escape from Heatran's Magma Storm. In stall wars, he could just spam flamethrower to eventually get a burn (not a huge deal against things like Toxapex, but still worth doing.) He can occasionally PP stall things with Substitute. pokepast.es/5cab02ba4115ccee
@Haydunn the team build in the link in the description has tenatcruel instead of samurott. Just FYI in case you care to change it. I love the team build links when you post them even though I don't have any of them built on my game yet I plan to when I have the free time some day!
Ok. I love Harvest shenannigans but I've never been brave enough to use Pinch-Stat berries! That was amazing to see it get to +6 SpAtk! S/O Thumbnail! Man I love the style coming out of these! Good stuff!
I do like your flamethrower tree, thanks for all your videos watched all of your scarlet vids and usually watch them while washing up xd great vids most entertaining pokemon content.
This made me think of making a team where the theme is "long necks only", and only pokemon with long necks are allowed. Torkoal has a decently long neck so it could set up sun to support Raging Bolt and Alolan Exeggutor. Other options to include could be: any snake Pokemon, Swanna, Farigiraf, Tropius, Lapras, Cobalion/Iron Crown, Aurorus, Dodrio and probably many more. Team synergy would probably suck but we gotta commit to the all powerful *neck*
Here's a fun idea for a sun team! Hisuian Liligant w/ chlorophyll ability. Holding focus sash. 252 atk 252 speed Moves Solar blade/ leaf blade (whatever your flavor) Swords dance Close combat Upper hand Been experimenting with that one. He's rather frail, so if he gets down to one HP easily. But one use of swords dance, double attack, double speed. He hits like a truck. A few times I predicted priority, and upper hand pulled through!
Harvest ability plus the move Stuffed Cheeks in Hackmons is genuinely pretty broken, Stuffed Cheeks allows you to eat any Berry on demand as well gives a free +2 Defense, then of course Harvest gives you said Berry back. You could use this with any of the Stat Boosting Berries, Custap for constant +1 Priority, Heal Berries, Focus Energy Berry, ect, and then you can pair the +2 Defense with Body Press. Then as a bonus this type of set up can be a counter to Imposter Users since they can't copy the berry thus making Stuffed Cheeks unusable.
I tried Harvest Trevenant based on this strategy Liechi Berry (Atk variant of Petaya) - Substitute - Trick Room - Horn Leech - Tera Blast (Fire) It works like dream
Oh yeah. This ones a fucking classic. I remember when you did this the first time many years ago and midway through the battle you had +6 special attack.
I run a physical set with tera water, swords dance, protect, seed bomb, dragon hammer. Harvest with sitrus berry. I also play doubles, not singles tho.
Are we going to be getting specifically Regulation H battles since the power level of that tier is going to be lower and allows for some different underused strategies to become more viable?
Alolan Exeggutor is actually more of a dragon when you look into it. Alolan Exeggutor is based on the Dracaena flower. The word derived from Ancient Greece, meaning "Female Dragon". Trees in pokemon tend to have oddly weak defenses
On one hand, that long neck is a big weak point.
On the other, it’s a freak’n tree.
Does Torterra count?
Torterra’s a turtle

I love these videos
i have a suggestion try a starf berry so it boosts a stat by 2 and it could get out of hand quickly.
12:02 were not talking about Haydunn starting edging?
I LEFT A COMMENT A FEW DAYS AGO ON YOUR MEMBER ONLY VIDEO ASKING FOR THIS POKEMON. HYPE!!!!
I run a physical set with tera water, swords dance, protect, seed bomb, dragon hammer. Harvest with sitrus berry. I also play doubles, not singles tho.
Alolan exeggutor is my favorite bug type Pokémon
You should keep the background music at the beginning throughout your battles (of course keeping your narrating)
Why does that intro go so hard
I think alolan exeggutor is a dragon because palm tree are a hot climate type of plant, weaker to cold weather.
Love ur vids!! Please showcase Meloetta one of my fav mons i have no idea how to use effectively
Whats the song used at the beggining?
Hoping to see luminion in one of these matches someday! It's not my favorite but it doesn't exist in anyone's radar
leavanny being the mvp of the team 😂
Sir, a sixth pataya berry has hit the exeggutor
That vacancy joke broke me 😂
Red Foreman would be proud
Now they gotta do to sunflora what they did to A. Exeggutor, long Bois
LOVED THIS ONE! I’m gonna put one on my competitive team!!!!!
you edged with that samurott
I really hope GameFreak keeps the Tera feature. It really changes the game and isn’t too overpowered
Odd that other person would show their mons are hacked, since the galarian birds haven't been released shiny yet 😳
Are we going to be getting specifically Regulation H battles since the power level of that tier is going to be lower and allows for some different underused strategies to become more viable?
This strat is really cool
I believe it also gets Endure, for a more guaranteed Custap
