I’ve been even a scrap man 17 years from the times when it was 30 a ton back in the day and always found with a box van you get overlooked. With my pickup I get flagged over by customers as it’s clear I’m a scrap man and it gets me loads of tat. Advertising on gumtree works too. Nice little find there with the lift.

@@thescraphunter6811 so i did calculations into kg and gbp, my yard is paying the equivalent of 3.65 pound sterling per Kg of brass... And a ton of shred here 325 cad priced in Gbp would equal 189.88...
And people say this job not worth doing it's money at the end of the day

I don't just use it for scrap tho bud I sleep in it to whe I go away fishing scrapping is only part time for me fishing is my living really

Brass is 3.50 a kg bud and I'm not sure about tin but steel/ iron is 165 a ton bud that's in gbp

Paying anywhere up to $7kg in Australia for brass, but our dollar isn't worth as much
