Sales tax is generally around 8.5% in SW Washington. It's really not worth it to drive to Oregon for most purchases, unless you already have to make the drive. The exception being large purchases like a new laptop.
Sales tax is actually close to 10% depending where you live in WA state. Mine is about 8.9%…..where tf is it at 6% Also doesn’t account for federal tax 😭😭😭 Oregon at least tells you the truth about how much something is. Also you can still buy homes without the exaggerated price tag
I think 6.5 is the base sales tax the state collects. You're only going to pay near that rate if you're in a small town, that is far away from the big cities. Where I live it's 10.3%
Well, I stay in Texas. And you know what they say about Texas. Everything is bigger and better. You make a hundred thousand dollars in texas you take home ninety six thousand. So why would I want to live in any one of those states?
Out of Oregon and Washington , think I'm gonna go with Houston, Texas a lot better living a lot. Nicer's homes with no tax Both oregon and washington is overrated
Bad math I live in Washington sales tax is mentioned but not calculated in final amount. It's jndeed Still a bit better but not 10,000 better The people getting screwed are those who work in oregon like myself, that's taxation without representation
There is no state income tax in Washington state if you make under a million dollars a year. And the sales tax in wa st is 10 %. Are you sure you got the right Washington
In WA most places sales tax is around 10%. I guess it depends on how much you end up spending in sales tax. If you live somewhere like Vancouver so you can just shop in OR, then WA is the winner. Plus OR just sucks. They should just be kicked out of the union 😂😂😂
Live in washington shop in oregon, pretty much the entire reason Vancouver exists 😂
I think the Fred Meyer’s is starting to id people tho, but not 100% sure
Nope, not yet
@@houserental5424 gotcha
