I recently lost my little boy of 3.9yrs in June of 24 and throughout his treatment we would listen to Lumineers a lot. Lumineers were the theme for his send off, and this song in particular kept me company throughout a lot of the darkest days of his treatment. We couldn’t go anywhere in the car without him insisting on “Ho Hey” I love him and miss him so dearly, and this song brings me closer to him. Thank you. X

Of course Bob Dylan's version is best, thats why he's a legend. And yes he doesn't exactly add anything to the song but rather just sing it. With that said if he's covering a Dylan song. The lyrics portray the pain of this conflict yet end in a suggestion of hope: despite the hurt and gulf between them, love abides. I may like this version better than Dylan's; the lyrics are clear and open for digestion and interpretation. I love Bobby D, but this cover may rival the original.

I may like this version better than Dylan's; the lyrics are clear and open for digestion and interpretation. I love Bobby D, but this cover may rival the original.
