      It was recorded during a BBC Radio 1 interview in I think April 1984. Sublime.

    I've heard this is about Myra Hindley and Ian Brady. Beautiful song, creepy idea.

      I think you mean Suffer Little Children, that one's about the Moors Murders for sure. Creepy indeed.

      Desmond Teague No. I'm aware of that song, but I believe this song is also about Brady and Hindley.

      Looking again, I can't find the source that said it was about Brady and Hindley's first meeting.. and nobody else seems to think it's about that, so you're probably right that it isn't about them. I feel less ambivalent about enjoying the song now.
