  • In this video, I will talk about LAN topologies: physical, logical, hybrid. Specifically 8 different topologies are discussed: point to point, point to multipoint, ring, bus, hybrid topologies: star-bus, star-ring, and mesh topologies: fully meshed topology, partially meshed topologies.
    keywords:
    LAN topologies, physical, logical, hybrid, ring, bus, point to point, point to multipoint, star-bus, star-ring, mesh, fully meshed topology, partially meshed topologies.

    Mr Sunny, You are providing the jokes and the knowledge in such way that makes me think the joke as it is something to learn. Then, when I am at that point where I realise that you've just made a joke about Star-bus and Starbucks, I start to laugh very loudly!! You are officially the best teacher i've seen online! Long live Mr.Sunny!

    I have watched several videos with people teaching on this subject and none of them I liked and went into the detail necessary except for this one. The last comment was hilarious :D

      What is the direction of the data flow in a ring topology???

    • @sunnyclassroom24
      @sunnyclassroom24  5 лет назад +1

      @@givenmahlangu6507 great question. Ring can be both unidirectional and bidirectional. Unidirectional can be clockwise or counterclockwise. It depends on setup and technologies used.

    Hi mr. Sunny, thanks for your lesson. I have a question: what's physically a terminator? What does it do? And why would the signal bounce back and forth? Thank you in advance. I ask all those questions because I really can't figure out the electric schematic, the circuit diagram of a net and it's a bit frustrating. I would be very grateful if you answered my questions; otherwise, no problem and just thank you for your interesting lesson. Cheers!

    This might be a stupid question, but if I'm installing a star topology network, do the PC's and devices have to physically resemble a star? Does physical placement matter in topology?

    Which topology between a star bus and ring has a best fault tolerance and why?

    • @sunnyclassroom24
      @sunnyclassroom24  5 лет назад

      You have a very good question. I did some research and I could be able to find any good answers or no answer. Since star-bus is popular hybrid topology for local Ethernet network, I assume that star bus is "better" than Star-ring. I really do not know.
