I have not watched the video yet, but I'll say this: there should be a III Vatican Council.
The Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church should return to its pre-Vatican II way of teaching. Whilst I agree with the radical traditionalists that the Novus Ordo does not preserve much tradition, I also agree that it brought back some older pre Council of Trent traditions, such as the free altar - though the Church never said to remove the pre-Vatican II altars and it also didn't say that priests should not face _Ad Orientem,_ even though they prefer it. I also am in favour of the use of the vernacular language, as it does not change the word of God, plus, the II Vatican Council didn't forbid Latin either, in fact, it encouraged it, but left open the use of vernacular language.
I acknowledge that Pope Francis has said many wrongdoings, and so have many popes in the past. See Pope Benedict IX.
I also think that a III Vatican Council is necessary to remind us all, lay people, the way in which the faith is to be held.
I strongly admire Pope St. John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI, even though they are post-Vatican II, they have done an excellent job in professing the faith, obviously, with their ups and downs.
I truly object to any radical traditionalist, as they are schismatic, and I truly object to any radical modernist, as they are heretical. One should be adherent to the orthodox way of teaching, but also being humble, as that's what our Lord, Jesus Christ, tells us to do.
Amen.

At times, to preach peace and forgiveness is insufficient. There may be a need to undertake a ‘spiritual struggle’. The present war, at its very core, is birthed from perverted symbiosis of religious and nationalist ambitions of a totalitarian regime. This war is inherently ideological in its origin. In order to achieve victory, it is necessary to resort to ideological and spiritual means. The Church must take it upon itself to repudiate the Patriarch’s blasphemy.
The position of the Moscow’s Patriarch is dubious insofar as he blesses a murderous war elevated to the status of a crusade.
In light of the silence of the Pope regarding the involvement of the Russian Church in the war, it is very good to see that Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople has taken the challenge to respond to Moscow’s perversion of the Christian message and in doing so, has shown all the signs of a truly spiritual leadership. At this point, there is no room for diplomacy or half-measures as they only deepen the infamy of the Russian church and all that it inspires.
    Faithfully yours, bishop Vincent Berg.

The Moscow Patriarchate attempts to provide religious inspiration and justification not only for the war in Ukraine, but for the Russian authorities' nationalistic aggressive ideas of "spiritual" supremacy.
Thus, this situation is not limited to Ukraine and politics only, but directly challenges the Church's standing in fundamental spiritual matters and requires relevant response.
From this perspective, it is hard to appreciate and accept the lack of Pope Francis' spiritual reaction to such a challenge.
    Faithfully yours, bishop Vincent Berg.

Listening to you as i do evach week and for many years I have to disagree with you this time. Lisbon Mass on final day of WYD may have had a huge crowd, but it was NOT 1.5 million. Probably more 500,000. Ive seen Modi stadium in india a new venue that holds around 120,000. It is huge. Lisbon was about 5 times that number and no more. Who throws out those figures of 1.5 million. No one counts each one. No check ins but like all Vatican figures always wrong. Oh and the Vatican piazza holds only about 50,000 max no more. Ive lived in Rome and numbers always blown way out there as well. Oh, This pontiff has given more interviews to individuals than all of his predecessors combined. Almost each week he gives an interview on every topic. John Paul and Benedict did not. Never. Paul VI, no nor John XXIII. But this pope gives highly negative comments and judgments about people and especially now on ‘traditional worship’ as he attacks those millions who have a deep faith in the great liturgy of centuries. He blasts this constantly like he does on gossip in the Vatican. Remember within months of becoming pope he attacked in strong and negative language the Curia. He blasted them and had been pope a short time. He spends so much time dismantling much of what he has now become part of. He has overturned Benedict VIs edicts on the great liturgy and now has ‘banished’ the faithful +Ganswein to Germany. No previous pope has ever treated previous papal secretaries with such disdain, but this pope has.
Sorry to say all this, but there is another side to the Vatican and what occurs. Having lived in and worked there i am well aware of what occurs and what is said ‘off stage’ that no one ever learns about.

We are not all Roman Catholics; some of us are Ukrainian (as I am), Maronite, Melkite, etc. The older I get -- and I am 65 years old -- I take offense when I am considered to be a Roman Catholic when I am not
    2) I suspect that Pope Francis would move the Catholic Church more to the left if he could but he cannot. The Vatican and diocesan bureaucrats as well as the bishops from JPII/B16 era would sabotage any efforts to permit women's ordination or gay marriage or for that matter ordination of married clergy, remarriage of divorced Catholics who failed to get annulments, the popular election of bishops and pastors by the laity, etc. I do think that Mr. Allen covered the issue well. Dear Mr. Allen, Thank you for your service in the Vineyard. Sometimes it seems like you are acting as ‘altar boy’ for Bergoglio. Obviously, Pope Francis is somewhat of a narcissist with his childish rants.
"The Patriarch cannot transform himself into Putin's altar boy.” Pope Francis
"Such statements are unlikely to contribute to the establishment of a constructive dialogue between the Roman Catholic and Russian Orthodox Churches, which is especially necessary at the present time.”
    Representative of Patriarch Kirill
A real reason for the Pope going silent on his prayer for peace at Fatima may be his current machinations
to finally fulfill his ego with a stopover in Moscow while en route to Mongolia. Ultimately the ball is in
    Kirill and Putin’s Russian court.
Not incidentally, if the mission is successful and Francis goes to Moscow, most certainly validating
the prophesy of Our Lady of Mount Carmel of Garabandal.
“The pope will go to Russia, to Moscow. As soon as he returns to the Vatican, hostilities will break out in different parts of Europe.” Conchita, November 14, 1965
    Dear girls,
At nine o’clock this morning the Blessed Virgin Mary told me about you, oh dear girls, about your visions and she told me to say to you:
“Oh blessed girls of San Sebastian de Garabandal, I promise that I will be with you until the end of the centuries, and you will be with me until the end of the world, and then united with me in the glory of paradise.”
Together with this I am sending you a copy of the Holy Rosary of Fatima, which the Blessed Virgin has ordered me to send you. The Blessed Virgin dictated this rosary, and she wants it to be propagated for the salvation of sinners and the preservation of humanity from the terrible punishments, with which the good God is threatening.
I give you a recommendation: pray and make others pray, because the world is on the road to perdition.
They do not believe in you or in your conversations with the white Lady, but they will believe when it is too late.
    Padre Pio of Pietrelcina
    March 3, 1962

"A stone in the shoe"? He MUST be kidding. He gives himself and The Church too much credit. I can't think of one head of any country who gives a d-mn about anything he and the rest of The Church have to say. I don't know anyone who cares what The Pope and The Church have to say. I do know -- well, I have known, in the past -- neighbors who were devout practicing Catholics and THEY didn't give a darn about what The Pope(s) and The Church had to say. These people were mostly old and elderly. They loved The Mass, The Sacraments, Holy Hours, The Rosary (and I understood and I understand: I still miss all of it sometimes) -- but they disagreed with The Church on A LOT of things. They were also afraid of going to Hell when they died. (As one female neighbor laughed to me, about going to Sunday Mass: "I'm hedging my bets!" LOL) //// I've said this to you before, and I'm saying it yet AGAIN: I think -- I hope -- that The Church -- like the rest of the world -- is going through a 'transition' and a transformation and that it will win out with MUCH better clergy and MUCH more intelligent clergy. And I WOULD LOVE to stick around and see how it all pans out. Unfortunately, I'm so old (and sick) that I have one foot in H and the other on a banana peel (I'm not NEARLY as witty as you are -- which, by the way, is a sign of great intelligence). And I truly am not sure that the human race is going to survive climate change. I am not at all "Chicken Little" -- but I truly think and believe that the human race may not be around much longer. We and the earth are already in deep, deep doo-doo.

We shouldn't have another Council despite the Church being in a mess.
Our bishops and cardinals are the problem.
How could a Council possibly help?
It would just provide them a canonically superior means to institutionalise their evil.

    • @itsgiag
      @itsgiag 7 месяцев назад

Yes, because, whist Vatican II was initiated by John XXIII with good intentions, he died and couldn't finish what he started. Paul VI finished it, but he didn't explain things clearly as he should have.
Vatican II is not the problem. The problem is its bad interpretation, especially by radical traditionalists and modernists. However, if we return the pre-Vatican II way, but with optional vernacular language and with the homily (obviously in vernacular language), as it explains what has been said in the gospel to the lay people.

Why do you love being? Why do you love being here?
Why is this life on Earth not a crucifixion most to you?

NO ONE and NOTHING are "evil". There are just so many things that we don't understand. And for good reason: if creation were a 24-hour clock, humans have been around for only a few seconds. It is the worst pride to think that we have God wired and that we know it all.
