I know it is click bait, but the lead suggests Francis blocked Benedict. This is getting to be yellow journalism.
I was very fond of Pope Benedict :
I knitted Him a Scarf! ❤
How do I make felt banners?
Thank You.
John Allen what’s your opinion of Cardinal Pizzaballa’s Meteoric Rise to ‘Papabile’
ST. TERESA OF AVILA: “Jesus has no body on earth but yours. No hands, no feet on earth, but yours. Yours are the eyes through which His compassion looks out on the world. Yours are the feet with which He is to go about doing good, and Yours are the hands with which Jesus blesses the world now.”
Another expertly piloted, by JA, roller coaster through the week's events!
On this occasion, I'll leave it there!
Nerdy point: Rebibbia is the end of line B, which ATAC colours blue.
This really made me consider a lot of things that a lay person doesn't generally think about.
Bergoglio is defending Rubnik. Why?
Francis cares more abt protecting evil doers than standing up , supporting & protecting victims !!! Why? Not what Jesus wld do- Our Lord Jesus cries out for Justice for the abused!!!🙏🙏🙏💔😢✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️
As well as NEVER releasing McCarrick report!! Shama, Shama, Shama!!!🙏💔😢✝️✝️✝️

Canon 1373. A person who publicly incites hatred or animosity against the Apostolic See or the Ordinary because of some act of ecclesiastical office or duty, or who provokes disobedience against them, is to be punished by interdict or other just penalties.
@G-MIP Truth hurts doesn't it!
@G-MIP then why am I not punished by interdict? Why is the Pope not implementing canon law? 🤣
What happens in conclave is 'secret'
I go with "moral Cowardice".
That jacket is something I would imagine Mr. Toad might wear.
Have ppl tried this Magesterium AI? Feedback please :D
Pope Francis loves socialists and communists. It is not prudence or moral cowardice- it is outright support of atheist materialism.
💯 Absolutely!
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂.
Love ya but that jacket’s got to go!
Sorry. But I gotta ask. WHAT ARE YOU WEARING??????? Did you reupholster your sofa and have some left over?
19:17 John, glad to see you are doing better. I pray that as God wills Pope Francis recovers...or...as God wills.
😊Great report John. Love the double-breasted brown plaid sport jacket. Very cool. 😎
Popes have license to say whatever they want.... haha... I have now another reason to love pope Francis...
Says more about you than Francis.
This Pope needs to repent and stop creating mess. I have never seen so many messy men in the church. I don’t believe anything he say about anybody.
Good for Ganswine. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Sometimes Francis has something of a Figaro about him. A bit too talkative. Then there is his constant verbal ingratiation (mind you, only verbally and in front of cameras, but de facto divisive towards conservative believers instead to being a Pontifex. Often not very humble when speaking about others. Just bear it and keep quiet, instead of making such personal comments about Sarah or Gänswein, who did not intentionally publish the book early or do a preliminary review of it, but inadvertently did not specify this in the contract). At the start of his term of office he called Benedict the 'grandfather', although he himself was only a few years younger. And now Benedict is the interim pope. A not very respectful chatter about his predecessor. But he forgets that if Benedict had not resigned of his own accord or had only stayed in office for four years longer, there would have been no Pope Bergoglio, since at the age of 80 he would no longer have been a conclave cardinal.
My Mexican wife and I call him Papa Pancho
😝😆😝😆😝😆😝😆👌👍
Horse hockey! He lied about the conclave with Benedict. Cardinal Vigano outed Bergoglios lie immediately. Who wants to hear your Francis splainning.
Yes!
@tomstulc9143 Vigano is not a cardinal, never was, never will be. It seems that this bishop will soon be laicized by the pope.
Dont you mean same Vat Time same Vat channel ? lol
De jó hogy nem értek angolul...
Francis behaves as if he was an official not the Holy Father ....
He's Pope but not really a Holy Father type.
Acts & believes He is God ! Francis hs faced many serious health crises God uses to call us to repentance, deep remorse & rededication of our lives to dependence on Love & Mercy of Our Lord Jesus Christ, yet Francis only seems to press harder & faster as if he's running out of time to destroy Holy Mother Church & teachings & sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ! 🙏🙏🙏💔💔💔😢😢😢✝️✝️✝️✝️ Viva Christo Rey!
The theology of Benedict and Francis could not be more different. The whole world knows that, whatever Bergoglio did, or said he did.
They're both Catholic, so it seems like they have quite a bit of theology in common.
@@Aaron-wy9nb --- As you wish.
@@Aaron-wy9nb Silly comment. Within the Church their theology and ecclesiology could not be more different. DSTH was clear to anyone but a snark.
@@Jimboken1 The only people it's "clear" to are people who haven't read anything about the theology of Pope Francis or Pope Benedict XVI and instead spend hours watching "Is Pope Francis an ANTIPOPE?!?!" videos. Read enough Benedict XVI and you will be surprised at how much it sounds like Francis and read enough Francis and you'll be surprised at how much it sounds like Benedict XVI. There are definite differences in their approaches and understandings of theology, but the claim that they "could not be more different" is absurd.
You can't think of two prelates more different in their understanding of Catholic theology? How about Cardinal Marx from Germany and Cardinal Burke from USA? Do you genuinely think Pope Francis and Pope Benedict XVI are more apart then those two?
@@Aaron-wy9nb So now you ARE talking about theology within the Church?
That's good....
I note Marx was elevated to the cardinalate by Benedict.
And you are apparently aware that of your two red herrings one is a modernist and the other orthodox.
That's good.....
Francis is a micro manager.
Just remember Bergoglio is a liar
Please, stop this divisive exaggeration
There are two type of white flags: one when emissioners are sent to negotiate and another one for surrender. Pope Francis made a mess with this expression.
Benedikt XVI was an intelektual university professor. He should better have stayed at the university.
That was Ratzinger's preference but not JohnPaul ll's.
Ratzinger was my favourite pope.
A sweet loving Holy Father who was always doctrinally clear.
His writings are beautiful and intensely observant of human nature.
The antithesis of what we have now.
With Ratzinger an intellectual brilliant teacher of the church was on the helmet. But now we have a living saint surpassing all intellectual brilliance because of his personal holiness
@@hugorainer5940 Fr Rupnik, Fr Grassi, Bishop Zanchetta, the rehab of Cardinal McCarrick and Cardinal Daneels on logia with the new 'holy' Pope.

Demos ll Daily Compass 29/02/24 :
Two years after the text signed 'Demos' (later revealed to have been written by Cardinal Pell) a new anonymous document, linked to the first, defines the seven priorities of the next Conclave to repair the confusion and crisis created by this Pontificate:
"It is clear that the strength of Pope Francis’ pontificate is the added emphasis he has given to compassion toward the weak, outreach to the poor and marginalized, concern for the dignity of creation and the environmental issues that flow from it, and efforts to accompany the suffering and alienated in their burdens.
Its shortcomings are equally obvious: an autocratic, at times seemingly vindictive, style of governance; a carelessness in matters of law; an intolerance for even respectful disagreement; and - most seriously - a pattern of ambiguity in matters of faith and morals causing confusion among the faithful. Confusion breeds division and conflict. It undermines confidence in the Word of God. It weakens evangelical witness. And the result today is a Church more fractured than at any time in her recent history."
Pope Francis said extraordinarily nasty comments of Cardinal Sarah in a book published 2 days ago.
I have no idea why you think he's holy. He's a political anaimal of this world and immersed in it.
The way ratzinger spoke at the death of JP2 was so beautiful and warmed himself to many
Ratzinger was a brilliant scientific professor. But he was unable in his personal life even to cook a cup of tea for himself. He was no pope because of his inability to organize ordinary things and the less the catholic church.
In contrast Pope Francis worked at the University too. He is a great reformer and will lead the Catholic church with needed reforms. And the great thing with Pope Francis is the fact that he is a living saint and able to reform the church that no stone will be left unturned. He will pull away from the POMP of Ratzinger and guide to Franz v.Assisi
I hope he will be gone before October.
How about before April 5th
the measure that you give will be the measure that you get
So Francis just excommunicated himself.
I did my thesis on Conclaves. The Pope can dispense from the confidentially obligation any Cardinal, so of course he can do so for himself.
@@DrexelGregory But is he the pope or was Benedict's attempted partial resignation of the papacy invalid?
@@DrexelGregory Technicalities are hardly the point. He made a solemn oath before God.
But it's okay that he broke the oath because he became Pope 8 years later?
Forget about canon law and such, is it fine with you that we have such a Bishop of Rome?
@@Jimboken1 That is not a technicality. The Pope has the freedom to dispense of any regulation he wants. Read through the Code of Canon Law - you’ll find that as a constant theme. The Pope is the Pope. It amazes me, people who treated the last two Popes with ultimate power somehow do not afford the same to the current one.
@@billyhw5492 When was there a partial resignation? What is even a partial resignation? Such a thing doesn’t exist. Benedict resigned. There was no Pope. A new one was validly elected. Read through John Paul II’s Universi Dominici Gregis, which has been the constitution governing conclaves for two of them now. People who just don’t like Francis treat him dubiously but it has zero bearing on the validity of anything when they just don’t like the guy.
I am rather nauseated by the pope and his conclave story; it's kind of like having them pee in the beer vat and all having a good laugh later. Lends a lot of credence to things being "fixed" in ugly rather hellish ways.
He's certainly been my ride on the Vomit Comet, and I never even had to leave the ground.
“Francis’ greatest hits”. “And increasingly limited pontificate.” “The sound of silence.”
This irreverent, American form of Catholic news is disrespectful to the Holy Father. One gets the impression that the host is waiting with bated breathe for any controversy in the Vatican, for his Pope to fall, as if to count the days…shameful
Rubbish. John is a liberal himself and is broadly supportive of Pope Francis' agenda.
The division this reprobate and fraternally uncorrectable Bishop of Rome has created is news.
The title of this video should have been 'Pope Francis casts shade on Benedict XVI’s election' for instance.
He was sworn to secrecy by the Conclave but rules don't apply to him. It's his Church and NOT Christ's.
Are you kidding?John Allen loves Francis lol
Honestly, this is just so disappointing. This way of talking is so divisive. Is this your 'love'?. I won't be following this programme.
The main problem with Francis was s that he’s not very bright.
He's cunning smart.
He's just not an intellectual like Benedict or JohnPaul ll.
@rons.9678 The main problem is that you are an ignorant. Pope Francis is a very bright man, that is why the cardinals elected him as 266th pope. In addition to his educational background, this pope speaks many languages.
