"I Get Around" is a song written by Brian Wilson and Mike Love for American rock band the Beach Boys. It was released as a single in May 1964 with "Don't Worry Baby" as its B-side and became the group's first number-one charting song in the United States. Coming in on the charts at number 7, it became their first top ten hit in the United Kingdom. It was included as the opening track on their studio album All Summer Long in July 1964.
"I Get Around", backed with "Don't Worry Baby", was released as a single in the United States on May 11, 1964. The single entered the Billboard chart on May 23 at #76. The song reached the #1 spot on the Billboard charts on July 4, replacing "A World Without Love" by Peter and Gordon and becoming the band's first #1 hit in the United States. The song remained at #1 for two weeks before being replaced by "Rag Doll" by The Four Seasons. Billboard ranked the record as the No. 5 song of 1964. The single also reached #1 on the United States Variety charts on July 1.

When I was a kid in the 80s, every time I heard a Beach Boy song come on, I just knew an adventure was about to start, and it did.
I like how Dennis is playing his imaginary drums.
I just love how absolutely awkward this whole setup was, and how brian dennis and mike clearly had no clue what to do, you can see dennis messing with mike, and brian appears as awkward and confused as ever putting on a happy face while carl and al are just vibing. A great representation of the band themselves honestly. Mike looks so tired, done, yet confident lmao

@@SeamusMcGillicuddy0 - Typically didn't wear a toupee. When his hairline receded further, he wore a hat. In any case, he was an important part of the group with his vocals and lyrics.

I gotta go back to Dreamgirls movie and try and figure what song they said the whites took from them. They made a video in the movie and it resembles this video. The Beach Boys were actually my very first taste of music. My mom had a black best of Beach Boys 8 track tape and I would listen to it like everyday. I wasn’t even in kindergarten yet. Then Simon and Garfunkel greatest hits orange 8 track tape was my second. And the rest is history.

They're using playback, where's the guitars and bass guitar cables?
Same scenario with many of the videos produced back then.
It's not an actual live performance. It's just them going through the motions to produce video footage. It's typical of video performances back then.
It's a primitive, early style music video which are never live. Nearly every band/artist did playback promo's like this.
Apart from this clip, every vid on YT of "I Get Around" is a live performance. Maybe watch those instead.
