- Me and the epic cool ass guild 'Calm Before the Storm - Argent Dawn EU' taking out the final boss Sarkareth in Abberus the something whatever.
Obviously playing survival hunter on the fight. I'm on bomb duty if you're wondering why I stand out of melee range for 1/3 of the fight at the end. First rule of survival club is to not cast serpent sting so I know some people will call me out for that but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

great job! i don't raid for exactly the reason i see here, (or don't see actually!) There so much stuff going on with the mechanics and the ui and spell fx etc, it's a bunch of noise on screen I wouldn't be able to manage haha. I'm also primarily a healer so it's even worst having to track everyone and the other nonsense going on. thx for sharing!
Yeah I get that. It's very overwhelming. We had about 250 pulls on the boss and it still felt a bit overwhelming even after 250 attempts which no boss should at that point. It doesn't help when there's 100s of swirly patches on the floor you have to avoid while also doing all the other mechanics on top of that.
I don't even wanna imagine what healing a boss like this looks like. And the fact that you are at a big disadvantage if you don't use weakauras is also pretty bad. I don't think bosses should work that way. I'd say they are getting better at it but judging by this raid (especially with echo of neltharion) it feels like they are getting worse at having weakauras be mandatory.

Also.. really? I don't think it's squishy at all for this fight. I didn't use exhil, combat potion, healthstone or turtle at all during the kill. Even on progress I'd usually use exhil in phase 1 but that was about it. Maybe our healers are just dope but I think survivals a solid option for the fight since you don't lose much single-target at all when going in an AoE build so you can deal with adds and still do big boss damage.
but I guess paladins are pretty tanky plus you give ret aura so that's fair... Though I really don't think forcing you off the spec makes much sense.
So happy to see a Surv hunter in on high level M kills and esp topping the meter......now if I can just talk my guild into letting me play my surv as my main!
It's actually in a fairly decent spot going into next patch. It's gonna bring a new shiny "raid buff" and its damage is looking solid. I can't see any reasons why any guild would be apposed to bringing one apart from the "meme" stigma surrounding the spec but that's really not justified.

@@18ccase Yeah we're getting this:
"Hunter's Mark increases all damage dealt to targets above 80% health by 5%."
It's weaker than other classes raid buffs but it's still something and definitely enough to make hunter a must bring to any raid comp wanting to be optimal which is a big plus.

@@BamaD0305 Ah... yeah having at least one priest is a pretty big deal for the buff and then there's PI. Which is getting a nerf tbf

Thanks! As for merging the bombs in details, here is a script that'll do it for you. If you go into details > auto run code and paste this at the bottom:

you gonna go slow boots next patch? are there even any new embellishments worth messing around with? I just don't want to run slow ;(
A lot of the embellishments got nerfs including the slow boots. It's still a bit early to tell because it looks like they might still do some more tuning with them. As of right now the sporecloak is looking strong but it shouldn't be. It got a sizable damage buff but it's supposed to be a defensive item so I doubt that will stick.
Basically it's possible we'll still use the slow boots but its a lot more likely we won't with these buffs/nerfs. But it will become more clear what's the best, closer to when the patch goes live.

They've actually fixed most of the bugs with the tier set now which is a big win! I haven't played much more on the PTR but the specs looking strong.
Do you mean updated weak auras for the new tier set? Or just my weakauras in general?

@@Airbag888 GZ on the legendary! but damn that took a lot of pulls. I do get asked a lot about my weakaura that shows spell CD's and stuff but that's not actually a week aura that's from the addon tellmewhen so I should probably make a video on what that is and how it works ect. Thanks for letting me know on a good idea that should be helpful for people. 😃
