I tested it and the selfie , performance, snapdragon elite , video improvements, round edges , lighter weight, corning glass speakers impressed me alot compared to my s23 ultra

one small thing, the 3x zoom lens has always been 10 megapixels since the s21 ultra and not 12mp.
they just upscale the final photo resolution to 12mp.

The release of this phone could've been a great ad for the DeX too, but it's been more than a year since they touched DeX...
Yeah this review missed the mark terribly in my opinion. I like her but it's a poor review. In 2025 the features that matter most are ecosystemic. They're like 100x more important. Using a phone not optimized for ecosystem is like taking a time machine back to 2012, there's no such thing as "the best phone" if you're out of the eco-club.
I must have watched at least 10 s25 ultra review videos and this was the most informative and concise one. Well done and thanks.

honestly samsung did not do enough for most people to upgrade, only reason I did was because of the insane deals I got, I ended up getting the phone, the earpods 3 pro, a magsafe case and the screen protectors for $400.
The remote control functionality of the S pen is absolutely amazing. Most people don't realize it's not just for camera... you can use it for anything! When I'm in bed on social media and don't want to swipe my phone, I programed the S pen to do that. Single click goes up, double click goes down.
You can even make it do specific screen presses. When reading, you can map it to next/previous pages. When I'm doing my NYT Mini crossword, I have it mapped to next/previous clues. The air actions are useful too, I hold the button and shake the remote to share whatever TikTok I'm watching with my gf. You can program anything for any app. It's one of the best features of the S24 Ultra but no one knew about it so now its gone 😭😭
I don't usualy write comments, but after watching at least 20+ s25 ULTRA videso, she points out a lot of details that others didn't mention. Good job Ella!

I think they’re going to make the shift into incorporating it with the Fold line. It would honestly make more sense.

S series and note series if they do that..
now it's useless anyway, so it'll be good to swap pen for larger battery or bigger camera senzor. And i find plus and normal models ugly, even this little rounded corners are bad but i can live with it: Chocolare bars note20,s22u,s23u,s24u are beautifull

When Flossy Carter, the Internet's biggest 'Samsung Knight' says this is the first year he probably won't be upgrading, you know you done F'd up...
Maybe Samsung should have renamed the S25U the NS-Ultra (Not-So)? These problems with Samsung removing things all the time are reducing the value and bringing the Note/Ultra line down to mediocre status... The headphones, The headphone jack, the Micro SD slot, the IR blaster, the charger, and now the square edges and a Bluetooth S-Pen, all gone... Maybe, for many, this is 'the straw that breaks the Camel's back'...? Without its features and differences it's becoming just another slab phone. Yeah, it's still got an S-Pen but that may be gone in the next version because according to their data, only a few really use the pen...
Oh well it was nice while it lasted... My S22U still works great and is as fast as the first day I got it. If it goes south, for the first time in 13 years (S3 and 5 Note/Ultra versions later) I will be entertaining a new brand...

Nicely said. Removing not-so-used (at least Samsung said that) features would be ok if everything else was perfect or at least great. And it looks like they did not reach that level. Vibration (not many reviewers mention that) is still weak (since S22 series), camera has same old issues, whole S25 lineup looks generic and as halfbaked Iphone lookalike. After 7 years of using Samsung flagships only (S23U being my last one) I gave up mainly because of camera and UI issues and "wait for software updates, we'll fix it" tactics. As if they gave that device to us for free or charged 15 bucks, not 100 times more...

Well I'm upgrading from the S24 regular to the S25 Ultra so I'll notice the jump in performance 😂. I wanted the better camera, video and glare resistant screen.

7:27 The 3x Zoom sensor on the S25U is a 10MP (and not 12MP) and not all sensors are 50MP though, cus the primary is still a 200MP. therefore, it's a 200+50+50+10 configuration.

@@cordovanhobbyist895 it's basically the same phone, only the Ultra main camera has 200mp, titanium frame and a bit larger screen, pixel density is not that much bigger, and us cheaper than Ultra. S25 Plus is on my next year's list

Will the samsung galaxy S25 ultra be your daily driver or iphone 16 pro max?
The S25U is not an upgrade for those who have the S23U & S24U but for me who is n S21+ user, it is a big upgrade. I understand the S-pen issue but I really don’t mind. I can still use other gestures in the phone for selfies and I have a smartwatch to do that. My S21+ is also the exynos variant, so this is definitely an upgrade for me. Can’t wait for it to be delivered.
Will you please either let me know or do a comparison of the 25+ vs Ultra to see if the upgrade in the camera zoom is really worth it? The zoom is what is holding me back between the plus and ultra since the plus only has up to 3x optical.

I got Samsung's screen protectors after seeing the state of some people S24 Ultras, going to keep a screen protector on for at least a year or so, then I can see how people's screens fare without a screen protector

I love it. Love your content, but honestly, I'm sure it'll be rare when you're not somewhere that doesn't have internet, whether it's wifi or cellular. So I'm sure Genini assistant wouldn't be a problem for most
From what I've seen, the reason why the S-Pen bluetooth was removed, was to help make the phone thinner by removing the mini wireless charger for the battery (inside S-Pen for bluetooth).
I prefer phone slightly thicker with more battery than cutting corner like this

I have an A54. Looking to eventually buy an S series. But the A series has pretty wicked battery life in light usage, that's why I'm stalling. By the way, great review Ella, and great nails, nicely done. As you can probably tell by my previous comments, I like pretty girls, and I cannot lie.😅😅

A lot of people that I know is not going into the Samsung 25 or the iPhone 16 Pro Max phones are just being phones right now. It does what they need to do every day life . I feel like phones in general year is basically like a stale mode. A lot of people is not really excited for these phones so far.
