  • @Bozbaby103

    The same thing happened in ‘09 or ‘10. I have footage of it. Merced River overflowed and flooded several parts of the Valley, Lower Yosemite Falls looked exactly like we see in this video. Got a free shower from the bridge at the base of Lower Yosemite from all the mist. Same with Bridal Veil Falls.
    Now, this year will likely last much longer than a decade ago, but this snow melt flooding isn’t a “once in a lifetime” thing. Short memories, exaggerating statements and media sensationalizing events irk me.
    However, I AM happy for the much-needed, extra fresh water runoff to replenish whatever reservoirs need it, if any.

  • @JohnEboyee
    @JohnEboyee Год назад +16

    The Merced waters as you enter park boundaries are insanity right now, especially the steeper grade runs. It's an amazing force of nature to be seen.

  • @RoySATX

    These rivers and creeks have been in need of a good flushing, the occasional flood is part of the natural cycle that for too long we've constrained (and continue to do).
