    Great video! I love how you include your wife and how she loves it too! The only thing I would say to change is to add Borax. It will actually help take out impurities and help prevent the silver button from sticking to the cup. I've also heard it also helps protect the the cup and makes it last longer.
    this should also only be done on silver that is destroyed already, because you will actually get more for silver jewelry.

    Isn't it just so satisfying adding to the stash?! 😁
    Have you guys ever considered learning how to refine it to pure silver? The trouble with melting hallmarked pieces is that there's no proof anywhere that your buttons are actually sterling..

    • @erinshipinski7332

      you can buy a hallmark stamp and hammer it in. since by nature if you melt sterling you get sterling

    • @PHUCKyoutube689
      @PHUCKyoutube689 Год назад

      Refining to pure is pointless unless you like to operate a cell as a hobby. Infact you will come out loosing money in the end. Nitric acid, electricity, time, filters it's not worth it from a financial standpoint. Stamp weight and purity and sell to someone that has an acid test. I always add a few grams of refined crystals to my sterling bars to ensure its at least 925.

Unless you live in Canada. I’m about 99% sure these people do. Canadians, like Americans don’t usually think to convert prices or measurements for our neighbours. That being said, $23 US is juuust under $30/oz in Canadian .
