From Northern Ireland we drive to Dublin, once through the Sheepdip/Ear-tag procedure we fly Air Fungus. Your bag goes in the cabin and you go in the hold.
Cool vlog covering FrenchBee! I really enjoyed following this flight experience- very similar to my £250 return trip to New York JFK with Norwegian back in late 2019, that Concorde you saw is part of a small museum just off the Paris Orly airport if you're interested, its on my travel list myself.
I think you answered your own question about "how can they do it for this price" - lack of staff, density of seating, lack of facilities. Maybe Geoff could drive there and compare cost?
The seating is horrible, my idea of hell and why I would rather pay a lot more to fly in business or first class than have to suffer, I can't sit through a film in a cinema because of a back injury that makes sitting in a seat like this akin to torture.
Love your NYC vlogs , them & the tenerife vlogs are my favourite , tenerife and america are my favourite holiday destinations ! I booked to go to tenerife yesterday , ive been re watching your tenerife playlist 😂
TGV trains reach 320 km/h (199 mph) on the newer TGV-Est & TGV-Rhin-Rhone routes. Older track still reaches up to 300kph in places. The speed yours was doing is just normal speeds just an every day occurrence in France. Here we can’t even build high speed rail net alone run them. Hope your trip to New York goes well. Looking forward to this series, I like the look of Hoboken.
There’s an airline called Norse Atlantic who fly from Gatwick, Oslo, Paris etc. I’ve recently booked flights with them for London to Los Angeles (£225 return), London to Las Vegas (£218 return) and Oslo to Bangkok (£193 return). I’ve flown them before from Oslo to New York for £147 return and New York to London for £97 one-way (booked on the same day of travel for that one because I missed a flight from Boston to Barcelona as they closed the gate early).
No people anywhere Lee, stayed at a McDreams Hotel in Dusseldorf at weekend, no reception, self check-in online etc, cleaners come in vans, restaurant is seperate building, crazy times.
Welcome to my country. We'd love to see you stay here. In Hoboken, go to Leo's. Frank Sinatra (who was from Hoboken) frequented this place. The stool he sat on is still behind the bar on display. Every song on the Jukebox is Sinatra and it's an incredible Italian restaurant. Sooooo good! My daughter used to live in Hoboken so I visited frequently. What a great town!
This is a guess from the interweb but Airbus A350 uses about 2700 gallons per hour, so 7 hour flight 18,900 gallons. Best gestimate for jet fuel ranges from $2.46 to $3.14 per gallon (2023 prices). Say at $3 per gallon $56,700 for fuel(that is in US dollars) plus airport fees, staff etc 300/320 passengers @ 200 euros, 60,000 euros ? Got to sell some pop and crisps 👍
What device do you put in your case to allow you to track it when it is being unloaded. I assume you haven’t placed a second phone in the bag with it switched on, so presumably it is some type of tracker that you can give a device name to.
I enjoyed the longer footage of the landing approach at Newark. It's always interesting seeing the buildings, roads, cars and suchlike as the plane gets closer to the runway.
I’m sort of near MIA so I looked at what French Bee offers… their website shows flights to Orly, but also one to Réunion one-stop, probably with that stop being Orly. Perhaps that’s the only destination they offer from Miami for which a stop at Orly would seem reasonable.
We did a Glasgow to Bordeaux journey for a wedding recently. We had a lot of luggage and we had to get metro too. A lot of stairs and humohing luggage but the trains were excellent though expensive. 😊
Hi Lee, great vid. I flew out of Paris Orly back to Bristol, much preferred it to Charles de Gaulle. I had a fantastic window view whilst waiting for the flight back... only downside was passport, having to get stamped. One thing to blame for that! Enjoy the US of A!
The move with French Bee is premium economy. Still much cheaper than regular airline economy and the luggage drinks and food is included and the food is actually decent.
It takes a special kind of synaptic short-circuit to boast about the cheap price of the flight one second and then complain about the lack of staff the next.
The answer to where are the people is answered by your next statement how can I fly to NYC FOR ONLY euro 220. You can’t have cheap flights and full service staff
And the seats are small and tight, with limited legroom. They pack in more seats. I'm guessing FrenchBee doesn't have a first or business class, which would probably be empty. So they have a full airplane with no meals, or provide meals only on extra payment. So yes, I suppose they can turn a profit on that.
Reform will have very little representation in parliament after the election. They'll be lucky to achieve any seats at all. Therefore, they will be like an ant on a dog's back in terms of influencing the new government. If Farage finally manages to become an MP after eight goes, all we will hear is the same strident voice attacking everyone, just like he did in Brussels and Strasbourg.
I think Geoff wore you out or did you have such a great time in Le Mans Lee? What a super smooth journey and I bet you're glad your legs have more room. 👍
I arrived in New York yesterday might see you there. Went from Bangkok to Japan 6.5 hours then Japan to JFK 13 hours went with ANA they were very good.
Having just spent two months traveling around Europe and getting ready to return to the USA, I’m not looking forward to low quality food and sky high prices. If I didn’t live in the USA, I certainly wouldn’t be going there by choice. Enjoy as best you can.
If the flight is full that's 411 passengers on that flight. If as you say it's an average of £200 per passenger that's £82,200. Average fuel cost of that flight is £30,000. Then landing fees, crew cost etc I reckon add in all the extras like luggage cost, food etc they are just making a profit
You must add into the profit the charges they add for cargo to include mail, pets, general cargo. On a lot of airline flights the cargo is what makes them the profit.
The reason French Bee 🐝 can offer prices they do, is because they fly the Airbus A350, which usially has nine sests across in economy, however French Bee make the seats narrower and put in 10 seats across! Making it very cosy and cramped. You were lucky to have the seat next to you free! They operate those aircraft to LAX which is about an 11-12 hour flight. OUCH
After seeing you having fun trying to print your ticket and labels, I think the technology is taking over, My local M&S this week has now got rid of all the till counters and it's all self service, I'm becoming worried that customer service will disappear completely.
You seem to do a lot of air travel. Just a suggestion, what about using a compass to compare the onboard flight map. Just to see if you actually travel in the direction it claims, I have an idea, it will not always match.
Yes, thank you very much for that, Lee.That was very interesting.I guess you get what you pay for good value for money anyway. That's salad looked like crap😅✈️
Looking at the food on the plane, looks like what the pigeon was eating. How does the airline make money, simple, the pack you in like sardines, give you 29 inches of leg room, where it is customary to give you 31 inches, meaning they can put in more seats and up charge you for everything.
And in this video you’ve highlighted all that is wrong with air travel and why I detest it. I can’t afford club, business or whatever so I cruise or drive.
Hi Lee enjoy your journey to Le Mana and when you leave you did not help Geoff clean up the tent with your mates Geoff and now you are going to NY.good luck.
Lee when you said about the price being so low you said how are they going to make a profit its simple there are no people to check you in you have to book yourself in ha ha
Good Evening Lee. I really liked how Modern and very Organised the Paris Orly Airport was. I totally agree with what you were saying, about there being very Friendly Airline Personnel, to check in your Suitcase/ Hand Luggage. From what i could see, FrenchBee Airlines looked a very Lovely and Modern Company who you chose Lee. I really liked the V.I.P. Lounge. There was plenty of Food and Drink for you to Enjoy yourself Lee. A very Pleasant Flight, Lovely Passengers to be with, Loved the outside footage of the Clouds and then seeing the Beautiful Green Scenery. Your in Flight Food, did not look all that nice, i felt. a glass of Red Wine to enjoy. I really liked the very Well spoken voice of Captain Vincent. Very Relaxed and Chilled out. I thought that it was a very Price you paid Lee, Paris to America 220 Euro's. A very Controlled and Smooth Landing. I was very Pleased Lee, that you had Landed very Safely in America. Your American Adventure has just begun. Thank you very much Lee, for Sharing Your Personal video Diary of your Excellent Journey from Paris to America. Onwards my Friend. Jonathan.
I feel so sorry for the young services were alot better especially in airports a max of 1 hour to hand in bag and go through security, food was included in the price of the flight

Nice views of Ireland there, Lough Leane, Killarney, Inch Beach as you headed out over the Atlantic. Rarely seen with the usual weather we have...
41:11 *'aye up Geoff look at that ChemTrail !*
The last time you were in New York was that when your heart threw a wobbly and you had to ease up on the Jameson
You did a right Basil. Sybil told you not to mess with O'reilly as he is a right french Flybenight. Good call on the lounge though.
From Northern Ireland we drive to Dublin, once through the Sheepdip/Ear-tag procedure we fly Air Fungus. Your bag goes in the cabin and you go in the hold.
You were packed in there like sardines. I give you credit. I could never fly on that long of a trip being so cramped.

I LOVE your airport and airplane videos. WHY don’t you schedule a “Meet and Greet” in Las Vegas! I’d go!❤
Thankfully, no one sat next to you.
An amazing price to fly to New York Lee. A lovely video as usual.
Internets very own Victor Meldrew....
Really enjoyed this. I remember BA used to have FlyBE. Looking forward to the next episode.
I bet you did not spot any of Geoffs cloud sprayers while you were up there! Hehe.
Love these videos where planes are involved. Looked a bit cramped on that A350 though👍🏻
I think you answered your own question about "how can they do it for this price" - lack of staff, density of seating, lack of facilities. Maybe Geoff could drive there and compare cost?

Wow, what a journey, very claustrophobic on that plane, but, very lovely scenery, thaks Lee, great video 😊
Good video thank you for sharing 😊
Good evening mate been waiting for this now onwards my friend let's go

Wonderful views of Ireland, There is no gps weirdly offshore because its land based. Planes definitely do not spend the fuel you think they do either.
There’s an airline called Norse Atlantic who fly from Gatwick, Oslo, Paris etc. I’ve recently booked flights with them for London to Los Angeles (£225 return), London to Las Vegas (£218 return) and Oslo to Bangkok (£193 return). New York - Paris - London, when you said that all i thought about was a Yellow three wheeled van owned by a bloke called Derek 🤣🤣
That is one del of a comment!
No people anywhere Lee, stayed at a McDreams Hotel in Dusseldorf at weekend, no reception, self check-in online etc, cleaners come in vans, restaurant is seperate building, crazy times.
Great vlog lee as always👍👍
Hun hope you had a lovely flight over there and the weather is not to bad xx❤
Thanks Lee for sharing😊
Another fantastic travel video, and what a great price we enjoyed every second
Thanks Ray.

Lived in Hoboken for twelve years. Leo's is great.
This is a guess from the interweb but Airbus A350 uses about 2700 gallons per hour, so 7 hour flight 18,900 gallons. Best gestimate for jet fuel ranges from $2.46 to $3.14 per gallon (2023 prices). Say at $3 per gallon $56,700 for fuel(that is in US dollars) plus airport fees, staff etc

Is that US or UK Gallons ?
US gallon for amount used and US gallon for price 👍
Enjoyed the video Lee and look forward to your videos in New york👍👍
Congratulations Lee, you flew to NY in the equivalent of a LNER Azuma and survived. JimN
In New York until Friday on holiday. Its so hot. Having an amazing week
What device do you put in your case to allow you to track it when it is being unloaded. I assume you haven’t placed a second phone in the bag with it switched on, so presumably it is some type of tracker that you can give a device name to.

Enjoyed that. £200 to New York is madness, far cheaper than flying from Heathrow.
Lee this relaxing music you play in your videos is freaking awesome.By the way Lee it is time we get the USA back.😎🤠
It takes a special kind of synaptic short-circuit to boast about the cheap price of the flight one second and then complain about the lack of staff the next.
The answer to where are the people is answered by your next statement how can I fly to NYC FOR ONLY euro 220. You can’t have cheap flights and full service staff
I was going to state the same, but you beat me to it 😂
Me too 😂😂😂
I bet lots of people were thinking the same thing lol
Gud vlog lee I enjoy the travel ones
And the seats are small and tight, with limited legroom. They pack in more seats. I'm guessing FrenchBee doesn't have a first or business class, which would probably be empty. So they have a full airplane with no meals, or provide meals only on extra payment. So yes, I suppose they can turn a profit on that.
The first thing i found in Paris was an Orangina which disappeared in the US.
Cheaper to fly to USA from France , than from UK. Another thing for Reform to sort out
Reform will have very little representation in parliament after the election.
Nope reform almost as bad as torys and reform is full of ex torys & defecting tories
Cracking flight vid ,looked a bit cramped on board ✈️
I think Geoff wore you out or did you have such a great time in Le Mans Lee? What a super smooth journey and I bet you're glad your legs have more room. 👍
Looking forward to your trip to the US.
You should ask why a meagre trip through the euro-tunnel cost so much, not why the flight was inexpensive :)
Must cram extra seats to make it work at that price
Thank You Lee, another interesting video, i was in a Coles bottle shop today in Sydney, and the (Sml) bottle of Jameson on special was $55.00 au. 👍 Au
I arrived in New York yesterday might see you there. Went from Bangkok to Japan 6.5 hours then Japan to JFK 13 hours went with ANA they were very good.
Wow Lee you just made my Friday 😊
That looks like an airbus a350 I was on one from brisbane to Singapore when I was heading back to Ireland via Singapore and frankfurt
Having just spent two months traveling around Europe and getting ready to return to the USA, I’m not looking forward to low quality food and sky high prices. If I didn’t live in the USA, I certainly wouldn’t be going there by choice. Enjoy as best you can.
So agree. I hate having to deal with machines instead of with human beings anywhere.
Excellent stuff and the music near?y sent me to sleep 😆
Nice One Lee .

Great video thank you
good vlog but if you count up the cost flights train and uber wouldnt it be cheaper to go with jet blue again lol
Hey that's good value for money flying from Paris to New York that is brilliant..and that meal you had looked nice aswell xx
The reason French Bee 🐝 can offer prices they do, is because they fly the Airbus A350, which usially has nine sests across in economy, however French Bee make the seats narrower and put in 10 seats across! Making it very cosy and cramped.

They operate those aircraft to LAX which is about an 11-12 hour flight. OUCH
Im only 5ft 1 but would struggle with the tight leg room as i get restless legs and need to move lol
Nice one Lee ❤👍👌
After seeing you having fun trying to print your ticket and labels, I think the technology is taking over, My local M&S this week has now got rid of all the till counters and it's all self service, I'm becoming worried that customer service will disappear completely.
Increased theft is the only thing slowing down self-service checkouts. Occasionally I prefer them… sometimes faster.
Another great vlogg Lee,where do you find the energy 😂.gave a cracking good time, cant wait for the next one 👍
Brilliant video
Try and have a bit of time to yourself to have a recharge when you’re in New York, you look tired Lee, that camping has caught up with you 👍🏼
Yep.....like sardines in a can...10 abreast....no room to breath......you get what you spend...
Nice view of cork
Its amazing how cheap it is to travel if you know how.
I hope its silver fox time. Iv been waiting for him to return.
You seem to do a lot of air travel.

It will be great to see Martin again
Wow what a great price!! Enjoy NYC aa you know Lee it's a great city.

Lee when you said about the price being so low you said how are they going to make a profit its simple there are no people to check you in you have to book yourself in ha ha
Take out all the seats and replace them with standing pods😂
Hi Lee Is this the one you drive across the country? How long will you be in NYC/ NJ ?
You landed in Newark? I would have picked you up and driven you to your location lol
Thought something bad had happened wten lee cancelled his video earlier, glad he's ok 👍
A sign you are turning into an old man it's starts with ranting I remember time of better services and cheaper prices moving on lol😂

Wish I had your energy. Have a good trip.
Does having no energy do your ed in?!
Next you’ll have to ask the airlines if you can have annual leave, the amount they make you work!
Hope you laughed at the Silver Fox for Leeds failing to get promoted 😂
We love MM 🤩🎉✈️
Morning hun I thought that there something wrong with you . and now I see you are in New York . have fun and say hi To Martin xx
Did you luck out with spare seats beside you?
I did. :)
Trying to check in at the ticket desk?? I'm embarrassed for you!! 😆😆
I feel so sorry for the young services were alot better especially in airports a max of 1 hour to hand in bag and go through security, food was included in the price of the flight
looking forward to this, mybe should have gone by train.....but sea in the way.
Speaking of claustrophobic...those seats!
