Grand Cordial Hotel Danang Vietnam August 2024

This hotel could be amazing ! Unfortunately the pool was so dirty. There was thick slippery green slime on the bottom and sides of the pool and bits floating in it.
The whole hotel had a raw sewage smell, and in the first room, we were in after 5 minutes of having the shower on, and it floaded up to your ankles.
The top floor restaurant was only open once during our stay and was very expensive!
We asked to extend our stay but they could let us stay in our first room, instead told us we could pay for a better room which we did. On the day of the extension, they made us check out and wait 2 hours. When we came to check back in, they showed us to dingy twin room, which was not what we paid for. They said the room we paid for would be available the next day. ! We said that's OK, we will have a refund and book somewhere else, and all of a sudden, our room was available? How strange!
It's frustrating because if the hotel looked after the pool,had breakfast on till later, and sorted the sewage smell, it would be such a great place. If you have any similar stories or you have stayed since our stay, please leave a comment for future guests.
