Oh I love The Tedesche Truck Band , Susan is such an angel voice ! I know some close friends of Hers that are also related to Her , In The Jacksonville, Florida area . I’ve been a huge fan of Theirs many years 😊Thanks for this fantastic video! 🎶💙🎶🎶🎶😊
I first heard this song while stuck in Friday afternoon traffic in Napa some years ago. The drive-time DJ played this number, and I went bazonkers. Best blues performer in 35 years.
She sings this from my heart! A big loss for me in 1975 when I was young a stupid! Over 30 yrs ago and I still can't get him out of my mind. Love of my life!
2000, driving around San Francisco in July, trying to find a hotel run in the middle of tourist season. Everything was sold out from San Fran down to San Jose. But it was all good because I was able to listen to a live recording of some one named Susan Teceschi. When this song came on I was blown away. Years later, she'd roll into my hotel in the wee hours and . . .I missed her. I'd nodded off to sleep, but woke up in time to see her name on the side of her tour bus. DAMN! LOL.
@zalman595 --If you mean Bonnie Raitt, she will always be great!! Whether blues or pop, I believe her talents were very underrated. But, I LOVE Susan Tedeschi. The first time I ever heard her, I was blown away!!!
I saw her at the Cambridge Folk Festival. The set was awesome and she was really nice at the signing tent, signing both my programme and my CD. She also let me take 3 photographs - what a star!
i first heard when i was 30 somethang saw ya with BB and buddy guy you werew so young with a voice from HELL love every minute of it. love and laughter lorna
Wow! I've been a fan of her studio work for many years, but this is the first live video I've seen. Unreal!! The true soul of her voice comes through so much purely in live performances. (I know there are live tracks in her studio albums, but somehow they lose the raw grit and beauty in the production process.)
All I can say is, Thank You So Much for posting this video! This is an incredible performance by Susan Tedeschi. I have had the pleasure of seeing her perform on 3 different occasions and was mesmerized at each show!!! Pure talent...and, she keeps kicking butt!!
my wife an' i got engaged in friar's point, an' when we got back to memphis i picked up a CD with you an' that song.....just so ya know.... an' yeah...keep on with that great blues of your's !!!! //albin.sweden.
I just watched a video filmed in Knoxville, TN where they have these "sundown concerts" and I saw her the first time on the video. I am glad I ran across this. The glasses added a bit to her look. Naughty school teacher? I don't know, but I liked it.
Listening to her latest CD 'Back To The River' I was just thinking that her voice was reminiscent of Bonnie Raitt. Susan has a great voice, plays a mean guitar and I love the soulfulness provided by the horn sound.
It hurt... it hurt... it hurt so bad 'Cause ooo you were the best man I ever, ever, ever had Why was I so blind to see And now the biggest fool is me Oh Oh what a fool I was darlin'... yes... And oh you were a fool to let... let me go... why did you let me go? It's so lonesome here with out you Oh how I miss you so Oh Oh now yes Don't do it, don't do it, don't do it oh lord no! I miss you oh yeah! Come back Oh! come back to me, yes Oh how I miss you Oh I miss you so
Nice rendition "It hurt so bad" I will be flying in from China to Denver in about 3 weeks. I have 4 weeks FMLA and since I work for UAL I can travel. for free for 4 weeks. Then I have to use my vacation. I have about 3 weeks left. Anyway since my sister lives in Fort Collins and I can burn my FMLA there...note...new baby. My wife is from China and we are showing off our little girl this week, Our plan is to go to Ft Collins and then Minn. for fishing
She has one of the best female vocals ever! So underrated.
She ROCKS. This is the best performance I ever heard.
This lady's voice should be in a museum! Great tone does not even come close to describe it. Susan is badass!
Why in the hell is this not on the radio? Every damn day!
I found it today, thanks for the video
i didn't know that susan and Kofi worked together before TTB
In 2007 Derek went on tour with Clapton and Susan took his solo band plus a few of her solo band members out on the road for a tour.

does anyone know if she ever comes to the MS delta to play?
That is just smoking!!!BIG OGRE
what kind of guitar is Susan playing? Great job, BTW.
And much nicer looking.
@elwood0330 Her and Derek's kid? Dude, Derek is only 30 years old!
Maybe in 20 years!
@franklinrocks1 True, but Madonna never claimed to have soul or be a blues singer either. She's pure pop. Not my cup of tea, but she is what she is.
Derek isn't but about 29 now himself. So,I don't think so!
She sounds a lot like Janis Joplin. That's a good thing. Great blues sounds
derek trucks is a lucky boy
@elwood0330 Their oldest kid is like 9 years old, LOL.
her voice is a littlebit like Janis joplin
Love Janice too, but she cant touch Susan!
Better than Janis? LMAO, please put the pipe down.
Nice vid though, I do love her voice.
