Alwsy nice to review a Scottish watch, I think I'm up to four now. And this one comes with a free tree! I like the looks, I like the build quality overall, but I don't like the large and inelegant clasp. Roll on Photic 2.0! Cheers, Jody
I own this watch, black dial with silver markers, I got it on pre-order so got a discount when ordered. It's fantastic and yeah that clasp is maybe a bit big, but it's so comfortable with that diver extension I have found useful with the hot weather, nice quick adjustment when needed. I have actually swapped my quick release bars out of the tropic strap as I found the same problem, bit of play, and with new spring bars costing me a couple pounds, problem solved. I would like to have a slightly bigger crown but that's my main pick, but apart from that it's fantastic, Tom is happy to get messages and chats away to anyone, he's even done some meet ups as well. It's currently my favourite now in my collection, with this one of the few watches that actually get commented on by other watch enthusiasts I am friends with.
Great to hear from an owner, and glad that you are enjoying the watch.
Good one on the crown I think. MIght be a fun thing to customize if no larger replacement comes to market.
Props for getting such a stunner early!
So is this a one position dive extension or a ratchet extension. The Scotsman didn’t make that clear nor does their website.
I backed the kickstarter as well. Amazing watch, hasn't left my wrist.
@@aussie8114 Ratchet Aussie, sorry the Scotsman missed that bit.
I own this watch after backing on kickstarter. Beautifully built and finished watch and like yours mine has been regulated to rolex level accuracy. Amazing what Tom has achieved with his first effort. Good to see it get more coverage
Now THAT is a lovely watch Jodi. Great start for a great brand.
I know right? Doesn't look like a first attempt. The man has an eye!
I do love mine, had it a couple of weeks. I have the black and silver, I agree on the clasp though but it is fairly functional on hotter days!
Just ordered the watch. Super excited. My ancestry is Scottish and I love the idea of supporting a business from my ancestral home.
These are cracking watches, I was lucky enough to review one of these a while back and was really impressed with it. It's a nice touch that they plant a tree and give you the specific location for where it is too.
And it is just up the road from where I grew up! I couldn't believe it.
@@JustOneMoreWatch That and having the tree near your Mum's too is pretty nice. It doesn't get much more local than that does it?
Ooh prices in £s, makes calculating tax and shipping a lot easier 🤣
Just wanted to say thanks for the red alert siren because I always miss seeing pop-ups. I actually went back to look for it and it's not there at all for some reason.
Another great review. Love the honesty and in-depth details.
Didn't expect a JOMW review so fast! This is my first diver and I love it so far.
No problem with the clasp for me - if they would do a date version too, I would buy one in a heartbeat
Looks great the crystal and bezel combination really sets it off. I could live with the clasp but not no date.
I miss Edinburgh. Lived there for four years too in the west end. ❤️
Lovely Chris! It is such a great city eh?
great looks on this one,not something you see everyday and also something you can wear everyday without standing out at all..
Hellooo from sunny Florida. That's a fine Scottish watch you have there.
Hellooooooooo Florida! Did you watch the Miami Formula One, Brian? Looked like a lot of fun to me!
@@JustOneMoreWatch No interest in cars. Motogp for me. Give it a look, motorcycles are where the action is. Cheers, Jody!
I was at MotoGP Austin. I looked at the Marc Marquez Tissot but bought the orange Seamaster. Sadly it fell off my motorcycle on the way home and was just about destroyed. Tissot is willing to fix it. The original quote from Tissot’s service center was more than the watch cost, but Tissot saw my social media post and offered to fix it for half price.
I had no idea this brand existed... despite the fact that their HQ is literally a 20 minutes walk from my flat! Thanks for promoting Edinburgh btw Jody, such a lovely city!
6.4 inch crown, we'll forguve you. Seriously Jodiy thanks for all the great content. Always enjoy your reviews for their honesty and humour. 👍
Thanks Jay! Thanks for watching the channel.
A musician pal and his wife just came back from Edinburgh last week. It is so beautiful, and like me, he travels with his guitar and hit a local Blues jam sesh. They had a blast. I really like this design, but I like the new Explorer design even better.
Very tastefully put together I'm sure we'll see the clasp refined over the next few weeks now that it's faults have been discussed
give it a 6 o'clock date window and that would be an awesome one-watch-collection. Give me a unisex 36-37mm version and that would be a more vintage skin diver looking watch for me
3:24 6.4 inch crown!? Bigger than average!
Well, men do tend to exaggerate a little don't we?
Good review. Congrats to Clemence for making a very nice looking watch that seems to be really well made.
Cracking watch, the clasp could presumably be swapped for something less bulky but it looks great on a tropic anyway. Enjoyed the video, cheers!
Hey mate! Not so easy to swap that one out, I'm afraid due to the way it attaches to the bracelet.
@@JustOneMoreWatch Thanks for the info, it's a shame it's not easy to swap the clasp.
Hey Jody! Love your work!
Thanks mate!
I really like this, doesn't cut corners and goes the extra mile in terms of finishing, dial and a regulated movement which makes it stand out from other watches that draw from the lineage of fifty fathomses and bakelite bezels (the various RLG Odysseys are what came to mind). I'm not quite sure if I'd pick one up though, we reached peak vintage dive at least a year ago and I've certainly got a few sitting barely worn across the watch boxes.
Very subtle James Hunt Homage shirt. Well done!!
Very nice I wish the company well Bruce from Edinborough
Morning Jody, one of my favourite cities, this looks like great, could be on the list......
Indeed Bob! Quite the place. Dublin is not too bad either mind. Hope you are feeling OK today mate.
@@JustOneMoreWatch you're right, Dublin is brilliant, on the mend hope to be home soon!?!?
Keep those Scottish watches coming please.
Gorgeous watch... thanks for sharing!
Another great review Jody!
Thank you!
That is a good looking watch! I'm glad the specs hold up to the looks. Looks like I have another one for the "List"!
Yeah full marks for that one. On the tropic it makes for a really strong offering. 👏👏👏
A really beautiful, classic watch. Congrats to Clemence. Great lume, too!
Beautiful watch! I love the vintage styling. It’d be interesting to see a larger size with a slightly more chunky bracelet to make the clasp more fitting. I’m also biased because I have large wrists and love a big tool watch(like my Super Ocean 44). I get why classically sized vintage watches are so popular, but I’d love to see us big wrist guys who struggle to pull off anything less than 42mm get some vintage style love.
Great looking watch I love it 👍 thanks Jody good review
On the tropic strap, this is beautiful.
Gorgeous looking watch. Especially on the tropic
Jody, very nicely done. I would classify the watch as a skin diver style. The proportions are excellent.
Great idea Jody: Just One More Tree. Maybe you should branch out! (insert groan here).
anOrdain Model 1 PLUM FUME = one of the best watches I have ever seen with it's Vitreous Enamel Dial. Even Mr Wonderful loves it.plus it is made in SCOTLAND .
Nice watch! Really like the blue gradient dial version!
Love the retro styling of this watch.
Fantastic watch I agree over the clasp issue and have they used the seiko font for "automatic"?
Fabulous debut retro diver. Finish is superb and the clasp has great build quality too. 7/10 for me.
good looking watch indeed
I just discovered this one a couple weeks ago and was ready to pull the trigger on the blue dial, but it wasn’t available. I guess they had a virtual booth with some available but I missed that. Beautiful watch that would fill a couple holes in my collection: style-wise and country of origin-wise.
obvious nod to blancpain with the bezel, lovely little piece; i can't help but want a date window though, since i find that an incredibly useful complication
Absolutely gorgeous. I want one.
At this time an up and coming watch manufacturer just needs to watch a handful of JOMW vids to steal the formula for a near perfect watch; 47mm lug to lug, 20mm lug width, 39-40mm case,
That clasp is really is given some perspective when you show it next to the Oris! And I haven't seen the logo on your t-shirt for a long time indeed
Before even my time as an F1 fanatic. Villeneuve senior was my first hero, the Nige, then DC. But Hunt would have been the man if I was a wee bit older for sure!
love the small safire bezel... very retro
Beautiful watch
I love love your content and how you mainly focus on obtainaible watches! Having said that can you please take a look at some islander watches? I really like the models I have and they aren't super expensive the most expensive model they have is 350 bucks. I don't know if you already did a video on them but if you did I would be glad to watch it!
Lovely looking watch!
I grew up inside that map too - Largs and Lochwinnoch loom large (I'll stop alliterating now) in my life til turfing out to Tasmania. Oh, and a very braw wee watch that.
A great looking watch from my home town.............wheres my piggy bank?😂
Auld Reekie!
@@JustOneMoreWatch 😁
@@JustOneMoreWatch love how RUclips suggests "translate to English" lol. That made me laugh out loud. Not a chance by the way.
Watch straps are ephemeral but that watch is classic😍
That is a great looking watch. Nice style.
My post code is Edinburgh so it's off to a great start for me. Looks really good. Great review.
I like when you say: I don't think 😁
I'm another Kickstarter backer and the watch has hardly left my wrist since it arrived. Agree about the bracelet; mine was a little stiff and could do with a little more smoothing to make it more comfortable. Having said that, if it really did have a real old bracelet, you wouldn't like that.
Mine has the Photic Dial and I'd put it up against a Black Bay 58 for looks any day.
Looks great!!!
James Hunt. Love the shirt and the video!
What a lovely watch.
A really good 1st product. Will definitely keep it on my list. 41-43mm would be great for my larger wrist.
Nice looking watch.
Love the parking meter hack.
All bracelets on =
What a beauty -- I love that bubble bezel insert. 👍🏴
Does the 6.4 inch crown, you mentioned, have to come in a separate box? :0)
nice watch.. like the blue version.... cheers
Very nice! Love to see these startup micro brands nail it on the first offering. The case and dimensions very much remind me of my RLG Odyssey III, However the finishing appears to be better. I’ll be pulling the trigger on this one! Thanks Jody!
Gorgeous watch
I really like the look of this watch. Price wise it's well placed and it nails the retro look pretty much perfectIy. I do agree the cIasp looks out of place though. I'm even considering buying it!
Is it just my eyes or is the number 1 at 12 placed slightly higher than 2? Didn't notice it at first but then after seeing the lume shot 8:09 it caught my eye.
I see what you mean, once seen its the only thing you notice, thanks.
Definitely misaligned. Not sure sure but it at least looks off center as well.
Did Jody say "6.4 inch crown" haha
It is very similar to my Odyssea RLG. Same dimensions, features, specs, strap and inspiration.
That is a stunning looking watch, might need to start saving up for one. At least I can save on postage as Edinburgh isn't too far from me.
Where are you located, John?
@@JustOneMoreWatch Mid calder Jody. Originally fae Millport 😁
Very nice reminds me of a Lorier and not in a bad way.
Very nice watch, reminds me of the Lorier
Really like it, I'll check out the other colours but it's really nice and Scottish 😂👍 I grew up not far from you apparently,I grew up in Dunoon 😂 Largs for a Nardini's ice cream?🍦👍
Yes.
I’ll gladly take a bulky clasp with a diver’s extension or toolless quick adjust over a smooth and svelte one that doesn’t quick adjust.
Great debute. Hopefully they wont mess the next models too.
I don’t generally watch the micro brand vids (from any creator), but this one was actually pretty cool. Nice to see a real up-and-comer, not just a chinese “house” label.
Nice blancpain inspired watch.... But those price is quite steep, and disappointing low power reserve though. By the way Jodi if you like those Sapphire bezel type... Grand Seiko use them a lot on their GMT series.
Hey will this fit okay on 6 inch wrists? Trying to avoid the flying saucer look lol. Recently had to sell a Tissot Le Locle 39mm because the face was so large compared to bezel. The Clemence looks like it would size better on my wrist. Any experience on a smaller wrist? Cheers!
I wonder how much assembly is actually done in Britain? Putting the straps on the watch maybe?
I see the address of the company is one of those buildings that has lots of companies registered. Companies house says 282 companies registered at the address and the street view shows a number of plaques outside the old building so assembly is unlikely to be going on there.
Woo Classic and British !!
How is it going mate? Thanks for all the good work you put in and for the great reviews.. i have found a remake of an interesting watch warn in the Jaws movie.. Alsta Nautoscaph Superautomatic worn by Richard Dreyfuss.. the watch and especially the bracelet is very cool and authentic.. if you could review this watch it would be great.. maybe it would even start a new diver bracelet trend.. keep up the good work.. i allways love to see your new content
Lovely looking watch, and perfect size for me wrists… this is going on the list for sure!
Stunning watch. I'd prefer it at 41mm. It would balance out the clasp.
cracking watch, would love see it on a nato.
That's a great watch
Oh but it is so classy on the topic strap. Would like a Swiss movement option.
I'd like to think that Jodi is staying up late with the rest of us late at night. The truth is I'm staying up too late.
Indeed you are mate. Early for me. But everything is relative!
The number 2 at the 12 o'clock position look off. Lower then the 1 ?
This video I liked it a lot ,keep up the great work. WOW very interesting 1st class very kool great info.,, AAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++ again great
Neat watch and a great review. I noticed an 'oops' however. There is no way that is a 6.4 *INCH* crown!
