The only special effect is an echo, but it only is being used to make the voice sound that more sultry. I could listen to this song for countless hours. I wish I had even just a pinch of her talent.
It's really funny that you say that, cause Daft Punk actually mixes their own sounds by actually playing the tunes. Their goal is to give the instrumental feel back to tech music. Calling it souped-up computer sound effects is a bit disrespectfull, seeing how much time and energy they actually put in their music. I have no problems with this tune though, it's lovely.

My goodness, I didn't know it was possible to make this song actually good. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Daft Punk fan, but this has always been my least favorite. First of all, i`m reffering to the original version by Daft Punk which is very different. Of course, as with almost everything, you can interpretate this song in your own way. People hear what they want to hear and they see what they want to see. In this case, cover by Doughter change the meaning of the song and its very different song (almost like a new one, non related), i`m not saying is bad, but i`m thinking is it not too much ? As i wrote in previous comment, for me this song (original one) is about positive fun and this version is too much and i feel like is misinterpreted.
