Got a backbone for Xmas and it’s the best remote play I have had with my ps5. As the vita did not work I have been waiting for the same experience, this bit of kit is amazing at what it does.
1:53 When they said "No console, no problem", that specifically said for things like Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, GeForce Now, or Google Stadia, it didn't say anything about not needing a console for PlayStation stuff, especially since PlayStation doesn't have a cloud streaming service yet.
@@TruthInFacts This is not a dual shock. I have the controller I know at first hand how good it is. I drive about 14 miles away from my home to go to work. I play on my brakes. As long as you have a good Internet connection there is no latency.
Inaccurate review. Yes you do have access to PS button (hold down Backbone button for 2 seconds). Also, $49 a year is if you bought a Backbone after Nov. 2021 + not required to use controller. Other than that, keep up good work. Good channel!
@@kenji0403 you don’t need to pay $50. You can play any PS remote games or any others (Xbox game pass, Apple Arcade, etc.). The $50 (which u get a year for free) is simply for the app software. The app is nice. It basically helps organize your games, like a dashboard. Whether it’s worth $50 or not is up to you. Hope this helped.
I love my PSVITA playing my PS4 in bed. Just like trophies etc for games like Until Dawn etc and gutted its coming to the end of the PS4s life cuz PS5 isnt supported in vita. This gives me hope i can continue doing what I was before.
@@nurakmal-qq6gz tons of iOS games such as cod mobile, madden 23 mobile, nba 2k, gta San Andreas ($7) etc, you also have Xbox cloud gaming if you own a Xbox, Apple Arcade with a subscription, apex legends mobile is also amazing with the backbone! I have the original one and the ps one so feel free to ask any other questions. As long as the iOS game you download has controller support the Backbone is ready to go!
If you already have a PS5 you would already have a DualSense anyway. Of course the advantage of something like the Backbone is portability and having a direct connection instead of relying on Bluetooth but it comes at the cost of DualSense specific features and superior ergonomics.
its never as simple as it looks, you proberbly have to have a console, then a subscription, then a certain device to run it, then a certain app to get it, and on and on........pointless..
Thank you well it's okay but $100 that's $30 more than the PS5 dualsense what lmao exactly connect the PS5 dualsense and play via the remote play and you get vibration. This is a nice idea makes the phone less bulky via remote play but the price just wait out for a sale then perhaps get it.
A subscription of $50/year to use the orange button and use with iPad/Mac? Haha, yeah never buying this. If you like this controller, there is another controller just like it called the Razer Kishi v2, with no subscription.

PSnow is cloud gaming is it not? well now its ps plus deluxe
Straight🧢. This controller is nowhere near as bad as you trying to make it sound. Great for mobile gaming. Best wireless mobile controller out here.
4 real. DualShock remotes have super latency outside the console

Hold the orange button to get to the PlayStation home. It was part of the set up instructions.
But there’s no way to access the quick menu?
@@J0URDAIN Not true all you have to do is hold the orange button for one second and then let go.
@@IamParker662 Oh! Is that a setting I have to change? Mind takes me back to the Backbone app.
@@J0URDAIN No all you have to do is press and hold the orange button for like 1 to 2 seconds then let go my guy.
@@IamParker662 GOT IT! Not a quick press but instead a bit of a longer press (1-2 seconds). It worked! Thanks man!
Did you really use the low frame-rated spider-man suit for this video :) lol most viewers will definetely think that it’s an input lag

Thank you for the right info about ps button as it’s going to be spot on for a zoom when playing rpg games
Try reviewing the Gamesir x3.
the one in the photo is beautiful

Is good with iPhone 11?
Why don’t they have both joysticks on the bottom like on a real PS4/PS5 controller?
Do I need to use same wifi as ps5 for remote play?
No
You'd think it would take more dualshock design cues. Seems like they just wanted the brand name.
Can I play while I’m away from home?
Yes you can
did i really need to buy playstation to use playstation backbone ?
so my console needs to stay on in order for me to play the games on my console???? THAT DEFEATS THE WHOLE POINT IN BUYING IT
Yes, its remote play only for PlayStation. You can play xbox game pass cloud on it tho, for which you don't need a console.
It’s amazing guys i got one
Nice man, can you still play on your phone with Backbone one even through you don’t have PS5 system at home?
@@alimalik3308 certain games yes

You’re the only review that said NO
Do you need wi-fi to play any games
most likely since it is cloud play
I need it i can play if i dont have an ps5 account and an iphone plz responde
Do you have to pay the $50 in order to play PlayStation games?
No just hook it up and go into ps remote play
Does your ps5 need to be on to play ps5 games?
Yes. You’re playing games on your console remotely. You can wake up your PlayStation remotely if you keep it in rest mode too
WFT I love mine!
It like 1/4 price of a steam deck lol
Does it work on ipad air
😭😭😭
The regular backbone controller is terrible won’t make the mistake of buying this one.
it's better to connect the dualshock 4 via bluetooth and mount a phone holder on it for a 3$ that spent 175$
It’s not better there is a lot of latency using Bluetooth away from the PlayStation. No latency on the backbone
You can’t find this product anywhere for $175

$100 Scam try $19.95 and MAYBE I’ll look at it Sony try fixing your dualsense drift problems
Yet another video full of misinformation cause you don’t read instructions
:D
Not the Playstation layout therefore not really Playstation
