- Goodwood and the Jaguar E-type go hand in hand.
If you're not already in the mood for the 81st Members' Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport yet, surely this Rob Huff flame-spitting lap of our circuit will do the trick. He was in lick-the-stamp and full-send mode last year, and we can only hope this weekend will be no different.
Will you be tuning into our livestream or will you be here in person for #81MM?

this unironically feels faster than F1 purely due to the movement and camera work.
Certainly more exciting
F1 camera work cares only about advertising sadly. There is no sense of speed like this has. Awesome car.
Someone commented the other day when it was said rallying was more exciting than F1 they were wrong , I suppose they were watching the same race the TV commentators were doing the broadcast on , and not the actual race .
Watching a turtle race would be more thrilling than modern F1
Its relateable unlike f1 which is almost robotic at this point, although i love it
A great lesson in driving skill. Racing like this is why I like watching Spec Miata and MX5 racing. It is all about talent not just the machinery. As has been said many times “it is better to be able to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow”.
That's some driving right there
Beautiful control
Yeah but the big round thing in front of the driver inside the cabin is called a steering wheel. Not a throttle.
What this driver is doing is called drifting before the hooligans who "drift" cars that can only drift came into being.
Beautiful. She really dances through the corners
Not exactly the "point-and-shoot" type stuff you see these days.
You really had to drive these things.
Love it!
That's true of the camerawork too!
Mmmm throttle oversteer, love it
I love it too. Isn't called Slip A
ngle? That takes a
lot of perfect practice. I love watching someone pulling it off.
Proper job.
Now that's bloody beautiful !!
That was stunningly beautiful! The car, the sound and the driving, wow!
Great driving. I dont get why we havent learned that great racing is lack of mechanical grip rather than more.
The gentleman has this circuit completely dialed in.
Wow, that's a real car being driven by a real driver. awesome
Love the sound!
I wish F1 was this exciting to watch.
Poetry in motion. 🤌🏻
Magical Dance of the throttle and steering wheel, Power first pointing second.
WooHoo!! He is at the limit!!
I love E-Types, awesome machines, loved all the ones I was fortunate to have workrd on, and saw racing here in Canada.
A flame-spitting E-type is a sight to gladden my dark and frigid heart.
Those Slip Angles the driver is doing is just phenomenal to watch. He knows what he's doing, and he barely counter steers.
This kind of racing with these OLD cars seems totally insane to me.
Wow......lovely.....and amazing beauty......and fast too......
That car must be very satisfying to drive, if you know what you’re doing, that is.
i think you could say that about the driver.....
@@stratman9449 yup, that was a little bit my point. Quite impressive.
Drifting at high speed. Not for the unskilled point and squiert crowd.
Beautiful
Those rear tyres earned their keep that day
Love how loud the cobra is
Agreed. It's kind of funny. The focus is on the XKE, but all you hear is the loud Cobra engine with maybe a little bit of straight 6 at the end.
I prefer the sound of the straight six the other than this OHV 8,
just sounds like a battle axe.
Endurance driver: Save your tires.
Sprint Racer: I understand the words, but not the phrase!
So cool.
That Jag is bloody quick
No, it's not a "wild" lap at all and it's silly to put that in the title just for clicks. It's actually an extremely controlled and skilled use of steering and throttle to achieve beautifully co-ordinated cornering. And that is a stunning looking E-type.
I bet if you were riding shotgun, you'd think was a wild ride . . . ✌️😎
Real motor racing, thats exactly how they drove at Bathurst till the late 80,s.Will someone invent a time machine !!!
Way to go you Brits!!
wow! besides the skills of the driver that Jaguar is really fast
Not the driver flashing the beams to the hardtop Cobra in front like it's nothing x)
As long as you have enough room, it works well.
Choice
А-а-ай, красавчик !!! )))
WOW! 😬👍😅
Dedicated to the Gods of Hydrocarbons
Always loved the look of Jags, but have heard my pocketbook would not like the maintenance they require.
Wow he's all in. Who is that guy?
I bet you is some bloke in its 50s
I believe it's Rob Huff...
@@jcgabriel1569I'll look him up. thank you!
Former World Touring Car Champion, and current BTCC driver Rob Huff.
@@xg5zm And you would lose your money.
6 cyl or V12? Dang that sounds fantastic!
Sweet, Heroyam Slava
No that's motorsport!
Always loved the E Type. What he got under the hood? Certainly not the 4.2L inline 6.
the lightweight has the 4.2 inline 6...race tuned of course. full race cam, (you can hear the snap and pop and see the flame out the tail pipe on overrun) possibly fuel injected but more likely triple 2" S.U.s or three side draft Webers.
man, why no eurobeat ! that man can drive lol
Ex John Lewis -Roger Mac car ,great history .
Will Rob Huff be back for 81MM this weekend? Find out here: www.goodwood.com/grr/event-coverage/members-meeting/2024/4/81mm-entry-list/
I bet the driver enjoyed that
Tasty understeer
Anyone else searching the comments in case an American says “Shelby”? 😂
Going like a cut cat.😮
What's under the hood?
Way better than f1
F1 is for fools

Nice tight rear end ❤ just look at that sway! Torque steer my heart baby 😊
Loose is fast. Corny line from an American stock car movie? Yes. Is it true though? Yes.
Dab of oppo anyone?
I'll take this over formula 1 any day.
Take that Elon Musk
Sadly a top spec Tossler with a professional driver would take all this fine English metal. However the sound, the smell and emotion would be absent. Great stuff at Goodwood, long may it prosper.
@@MS-Patriot2 sadly indeed but I wouldn’t go see it … that’s if it decides to start and not matrix glitch … analogue for me
@@johnanderson2419 yep, all the way.
not overly wrapped in the forced political statement on the side of the cars.
Poetry in motion...
nice to see ukrainians can afford vintage racing cars
Ukrainian flag on cars?
big L
Ukranian flag ruined it for me🤢👎
Ok
Is it an ukrainian flag on the door of this magnificent car? I'm happy to see my tax money well used by these valiant people...
If not for some near-nonexistent braking "twitch" this could be AI generated, and no one would be the wiser.
Smooth driving.
Do not buy a set of used tires from this guy.
That is the problem of Formula 1. It is fast. But it is boring. Prefer this every single time.
vettes steer by throttle not these mgs or whatever you blokes "race"
Steer from the rear!!!
