I think a lot of names are ugly until I hear you say them. Then they become magnificent. It's your voice/accent/energy - you just bring beauty.

I heard a new name today of a young girl and tbh I don’t know how she spells it but it’s -catlyn. not caitlyn or kaitlyn- it’s “cat- lyn” and at first I thought it was interesting but it’s actually pretty cute and her nickname is cat ... it’s unique and she was a sweet little unique girl

It used to be very common for siblings to name their children after one another in the states. It can make tracing the family tree difficult, but I think its sweet.
We are French speaking from Belgium. His nicknames were Zouz, Zouzi or Zouzinet when he was a baby, now his friends call him Balth, Baltha or Baltho :) but we call him Balthazar 🥰

Fascinating how much the connotation of names varies - here in Germany, Sebastian is basically just the most bland, dad-type of name ever. Nobody would call it romantic here, but i do see it - if i take a huuuge step back and ignore knowing the name haha😅

@@amay4203 I've literally been thinking about this all week and tbh, none of the popular names here have a romantic connotation. If I had to pick i'd say Theo, Valentin, and basically every italian or spanish sounding name would sound romantic to german ears
Whenever I'm trying to name characters for my stories I find loads of girl names I love but I can never get more than 4 or 5 boy names 🤦♀️

I’m expecting a boy in two weeks. I think we’re going with Sebastian because we haven’t found a name we like better. The Baby Name Wizard lists Nathaniel (son #1) and Amelia/Juliana (daughter is Ameliana) as siblings so at least statistically Sebastian goes well with the other kids’ names 😂

I love the name Gideon! I always think of the toy from the sweet children's book "Ernest and Celestine" by Gabrielle Vincent. My daughter loved this book when she was little.
Hey SJ!! I absolutely love you and your videos!! I really like Camry as a name maybe spelled like Kamri or Kamree, but it's a type of Toyota so I would feel weird using it. But it made me want to ask you what car makes or models would you consider as a name if they didn't have that association? I think that would be a fun list to see!!
I know someone named Shelby after the car although I know it's not a huge association. Hes a guy so it definitely stands out more in that sense

My grandfather’s name was Laurent and I think is a bit underrated (at least in the U.S.) but just as romantic! And it gives you those sounds similar to Lawrence, a tad vintage and whimsical I think! 😊
