How to complete MHW Iceborne 1000%. For every 480 hunts, you may increase 1 of your regions by 1 level. You probably want to do this side quest with fixed regions.

I saw a video that got me from level 1 to level 7 in a biome I needed to max out for particular parts in a few hours by just trapping monsters repeatedly as each trap gives you 25 research points as research points contributes towards guiding lands levels. Can I just trap monsters on repeat until each biome is level 7 or does it not work like that?
Truly appreciate this vid. Now I know I do not have to research more about the guiding lands because I have no plans of sinking 300+ hours on the same place over and over again. +1 Like
Thats awesome, I actually increased my cap months ago to 7-7-7-7-1-1 but the info I found online said that only tempered threat 3 monsters increased the cap so I hunted all T3's available especially Velkhana and Savage Jho since they are the easiest. Now that I know any monster counts Im definitely thinking about finishing it all.

Commenting here for the folks who are also doing this same as me. Just pick the 2 lowest hp monsters to rotate and kill. Jagras is the lowest and Tzitzi Yaku cannot stun you with its flash if you wear Fatalis gear (stun res 3 helm) so pick what you like. What I do is rotate Jagras and Great Girros and can do 20 per hour with heroics 2 fortify spread and capture only Girros when I fight it (it's faster that way). Currently at 1-1-7-7-6-6 regions and it doesn't matter if it's region locked or not as long as you kill monsters in level 7 regions. You can probably do more than 20 in an hour but I haven't tried 4 players to comment on it.
When i killed à lot of jagras or girros i just need to kill à monster in a specific are to increase it with all the exp i stocked ? Sry for my bad english ^^'
same here last time i tried HBG was at the very early game cause i thought it could be easier to hunt from safe distance but after i was out of ammo i paniced a lot went back to camp and bring out the longsword ever since i only play longsword

I also assume since Fatalis nothing really changed here, right? I heard that Event quests are now permanently available, but nothing about GLs. Back then I left my GLs at 7-7-2-2-2-2 which means I should get Rotten Vale to 7, lock everything and spam small monsters for about 3 months with 4h of daily hunting? Sounds like a lot of work, but I still need a bunch of Golden Crowns until MH Wilds comes out (next or next-next year?). Great video, thank you! :D
I didn't want to either. There is a way around this. You always start the quest with your weapon of choice (bow). The guild card only counts your first weapon equipped in any quest or expedition, as you are able to swap weapons mid-hunt.
Here’s another tip to rank up your regions Luer out elder dragons and a monster that leaves a lot of tracks at the same time and collector those tracks they’ll give you research points that will level up your region depending on how many you collect at a time it’s more calmer and less frustrating Be sure to bring your guilling mantle because you may have to lure out a monster that’s aggressive and will attack you and while you’re at it collect bone piles they give you research points too
Damn. This video managed to kill my desire to play the guiding lands. Those monsters hunts at the end of the video wasnt gameplay, it was the dispassionate completion of chores.
It's the little things that matter. No one ever said I wasn't having fun getting my chores done. You can definitely just hunt Fatalis and Alatreon over and over until the end of time. This is optional.
So kill 7200 monsters in locked lvl 7 region. After that unlock, then max them all. Sound simple but it's too painfull, lol. I am glad found your video in my timeline and thank you so much for the info, now i can sleep. 😅😅😅
Sorry, I don’t know if I kissed it, but when gaining exp for a specific area in guided lands ( ancient forest) doesn’t other regions decrease in levels? Then the levels that decreased, when you kill monsters in those regions, won’t it drop others down? How do you get others to lvl 7 when they are decreased?
Levels decreasing happens when your total cap is unleveled. As you level up the cap with GL exp, you have more capacity, and the regions won't level down.

@azkamf.5816 Think of the level cap as a tank. When you hunt a monster in any level 7 region, the tank expands and now there is more capacity. You have more "level" to distribute across your regions, eventually all of them will be able to reach level 7.

So as long as I hunt in guiding lands in any monster I want with SOS with other hunters, eventually in the long run my guiding lands' levels will eventually maxed out?
I am still confused with the GL mechanics, if you only need to slay 7200 monsters it's fine, but doesn't other region's level decrease when you want to level up beyond overall cap?
Levels will fluctuate naturally. However, the idea is get a region or 2 to level 7, fix (lock) those regions, go hunt 7200 monsters in those level 7 regions, and then unlock and level up the other 4 regions to level 7.

Doesn't breaking parts also award XP or is this XP system seperate from region leveling? I remember a couple times when it would give me level up or down notifs mid-hunt (maybe for gathering tracks as well?). This type of grind is way too excessive for me but I'm just curious
If I understand this correctly, the general gist is that you have to fix your regions and hunt in a lvl 7 region (for maximum efficiency) to gain GL EXP that will count towards the overall region cap, correct? I just want to make sure I got the information correctly. Also, assuming you extended your overall region cap enough so that you can increase a region level one more time without de-levelling a different one, do you just unlock and grind monsters in the desired region you want to level like how you would normally level up your regions?
Yep! You got it. One thing to be aware of is the level 7s can "overlevel" by 1 full bar, so you want to make sure your levels 7s are "lean" with very little overage.

@@niiyfu It's somewhat hidden. It should "just" hit level 7. But really, you can worry about it near the end after 6000+ hunts when you're trying to balance all levels to 7.
Thx for the vid Tiny Tenor, very usefull. I was able to improve your build as the raw damage is maxed with heroics lvl7 on the vorbuster. I have now 100% affin with max might lvl5 enabled, ev. extend lvl2, constit. lvl2, fortify, tools specialist lvl5, intimidator lvl3 and most important palico rally lvl5, which gives your palico 25% more power. Makes this even stronger. Thx again Tiny, liked. Anyone interested just reply and I will post full build.
I never really liked the guiding lands because of the region level thing, but now I know it is possible to have every region maxed out I intend to do it despite the grind
Great video! Sadly the words cheater/hacker etc has been thrown around against the having all 7s that im still pretty skeptical. Just to be clear, if i wanted to test this out. @jiku9098 Once you set the regions to 7-7-7-4-1-1, with the 1s being really empty with bar. You level up the level 4 region as much as you can until the 7 regions start level down. How much you can level up the level 4 region is how far along you are.

A little over 4000 hours. I played through the main game of Rise. Didn't convince me to get Sunbreak. This was all console back in the day, with console loading times. Haven't touched MHW on Steam.
Boy this is awesome thx, but let me digest it, first I have to fix/lock my gl, then do 480 hunts, then I unlock/unfix the gl, then I Will have a level up right? Or Im missing something?
Do your GL counts in guild card and weapon progression got stuck? for example i spend 50 minuts in GL killing atleast 10 monster but once i get out of it, it only increase 1 in your guild card count, and of course weapon usage also only increase once. Does this affect the invisible GL exp progression? i worried that the game only registered 1 hunt hecne 1 invsible XP increase for 50 minutes of work. I always report to handler after each hunt, and re-lure - repeat. ??
Guild card progression only advances by 1 for every "visit" or session you go GL where you hunt at least 1 monster. If you hunt 10+ in one session, Guild card will still only advance by 1. But don't worry, every hunt contributes toward GL exp. Don't go by Guild card.
Hello. I'm new to the game so basically, I just keep hunting until I reach 7,200 Hunts of any threat level 1 monsters to get all of my regions level 7? right? xD Sorry for asking
There are two possible issues. 1. You may have "extra" levels in your 7 regions, meaning you overleveled them. To find out if you do, drop level 7s to level 6 and level them JUST to level 7, and not extra. 2. You simply have not hunted enough monsters. Lock your regions, hunt a few thousand monsters in the level 7 regions, then try again.
I have some questions if you'd humor me. 1.If 3/6 of my regions are 7 and the rest 4-1-1, do I need 480 hunts to max the any one or 1440 hunts? 2.While the regions are fixed do I need to hunt lvl7 region specific mons or does any count towards the exp.? 3.After the neccessary number of hunts needed for a region do I unfix the GL and just hunt region specific mons of the region I wanna max?
I dont think so, it would contribute to the guiding lands of the hunter that started the expedition. Best you can get is probably the materials and the lure tracks

You don't need to reset after hunting 1 monster. You can hunt as many as you'd like in one visit; they all count. There is no official visible in-game counter. You can see your progress by redistributing your levels to 7-7-7-4-1-1. The level 1 regions should be at 0 (empty). And then you see how far you can progress the level 4 region before it starts affecting (downleveling) your level 7 regions.

I currently use the method of killing only Nergigante for the evolution of the Guiding Lands, do you recommend this method or does killing level 1 monsters still bring more advantages? You may only hunt Nergigante, but that will take a long time. Level 1 monsters and Level 3 (Nergigante) give equal amounts of GL EXP. You will make more progress hunting Level 1 monsters. However, whichever method keeps you from getting bored is the best way. I enjoy repetitive tasks, so Level 1 monsters are no problem for me.
It begins accumulating as soon as you get to Guiding Lands. However, the amount of hunts you need to notice a difference is far beyond what is needed to get to MR 99. It is recommended to reach MR99 before grinding Guilding Lands exp.

No worries. Happy to clarify. Exactly. Fix your regions, (ideally at least 2 regions at level 7), hunt 480 monsters in those level 7 regions. Then unlock regions to increase a region of your choice by 1 level. You will talk to the handler between monsters, so you will collect rewards frequently.
In normal quests, it reduces the amount of loot you receive upon quest completion. The same applies in the guiding lands. You "complete" the quests by checking in with the Handler.

No problem. You can just do the straight 7200. The "every 480 hunts" is for those that need a little achievement every now and then, to see the progress.
Hi there! Thanks for this amazing guide! I currently have Volcanic, Tundra and Coral regions at level 7. Unfortunately G.Jagras/Kulu/Girros do not spawn in those areas. What would you suggest? Another thing... my main goal is actually to have 7/7/7/7/1/1. I'd like to level my Rotten to 7, while keeping my my Volcanic, Tundra & Coral still at 7 too! Do you know how much GL exp is needed for 4 Level 7 regions? If so, how many hunts/monster kills would that require? Many thanks!!!
Glad you find this helpful. :) My first recommendation is to level down your current regions, get Forest, Wildspire, and Rotten to 7, fix regions then hunt. However, if that's not your cup of tea, Tziti, Viper Tobi, and Dodogama are acceptable alternatives to hunt with your current regions. Albeit slower, it is "less work". 1 level = 480 hunts Naturally it is 7-7-7-4-1-1. So you would need 1440 hunts in a level 7 region, to reach your 7-7-7-7-1-1 goal.
@@CamelxXxYogurt Yes, GL cap exp is gained even while regions are fixed. Think of it as making the gas tank bigger. When you unlock after hunted enough monsters, you can hold more gas. The gas tank (capacity) is shared by all regions.

I often play with my friends and we tend to kill anything that moves but I have my regions fixed/locked so it won't decrease the ones I've already maxed. Thank you for the help!
Hello! Yes, you still get EXP when your regions are locked, whether hunting in your own Guiding Lands or another hunter's Guiding Lands. Happy hunting!
Can you clarify what "get them all" means? If you mean after 7200 hunts and you level all regions to 7, then yes. You should lock. You get 200 health and stamina by equipping Fatalis armor at the start or fainting while equipped with Fatalis armor.
2 region on lvl 7, lock it. but how to know our hunts count if it lvl lock? Once 7200 hunts on region lvl 7, unlock then straight hunt on other region?
Exactly. There's no actual in-game tracker to determine your hunts, but I've used the hunts from the hunters manual to roughly gauge where I was at. Yes, after 7200 hunts, you can level up other regions.

Happy to help. It can be anyone's, as a long as the region you're hunting is level 7, you will get the maximum experience. Hunting and capturing is the same. It's up to your preference.

As long as you are hunting in a level 7 region, you are receiving the maximum amount of Guiding Lands exp. Hunting in any of the level 7 is fine (coral, forest, volcano). Hunting in Tundra at level 4 is not as efficient. Unless you want level up your Tundra and then lock regions.
This grind is too much for my heart 😂. I know its pointless and skummy to cheat in game especially like monster hunter where its beautiful to grind all you weapons and taste the fruits of you success, but i think i will have to mod all the regions to lvl 7, because i dont see any point in putting over 300 something hours into this just to get the materials for my augments.
The point was never about the materials, but that you get to play monster hunter for 300 more hours is the real reward. This is on console, so modding isn't really a thing.
can someone please tell me how to do this? Right now i only have the volcano and tundra at level 7 and every time i try to level something else, the level decreases.
If your Tundra and Volcano are dropping down to Level 6, you maybe have residual exp in your other regions. Even if your Forest is level 1, there may be exp in it (on its way to level 2). The original cap is 7+7+7+4+1+1+1. You must reduce/empty out your other regions. There are 2 methods to do this. Because if you drop your levels via the Guiding Lands adjust menu, the lowest you can go is level 1, even if there is residual exp in that region. The best way to to empty out a region is to level it to just level 2 (hunt and then collect some tracks), and then adjust it down to level 1.
@@sighlol5621 Yes. It will drop to 6 temporarily. But don't worry, it's pretty easy to get back up. Like 3 Viper Tobi Kadachi. (Pick up its tracks, trap it 3 times, then hunt it).

It does not. While the trap spam does allow you to easily level up your regions, it does not count as GL EXP. GL EXP is only rewarded after a hunt is completed. Even if you had someone help you do the exploit where you get "kicked" and trap a near-death monster, load back in, rejoin, trap it again, repeat, it is not as fast as just hunting another monster, due to loading times.

You can have fixed regions. Once you hunted enough monsters you can level up regions without others leveling down. 7200 monsters for full level 7 regions.
Hello tiny tenor, I'm a bit late to comment but I have a few questions if you're willing to answer I would really appreciate it. 😃 So First question is If I Get Enough "GL EXP" for 28 lvls So 7, 7, 7, 5, 1, 1 have I unlocked 28 lvls permanently and even if my lvls fluctuate will always have 28 lvls? Or does it reset back to 27 if I unlock my regions. Second Does the GL exp I gathered get lost if I unlock and my regions fluctuate Or can I just Lock my regions get 10080 exp and unlock and let it fluctuate and just Lock again whenever I feel like farming for more Lvls so I can get 7, 7, 7, 7, 7, 7 without having to do it all in one go? Once you gain enough GL exp for 7-7-7-5-1-1, your cap is increased to 28 permanently, locked or unlocked. You never "lose" levels once enough GL EXP is acquired. Your levels might fluctuate if they're unlocked. You can get all Level 7 playing casually. Every hunt in Guiding Lands is cumulative. Think of it as a pitcher of lemonade. Every hunt is another drop in your pitcher. Once you hunt enough, you can fill all 7 cups.

Hey there, so just a quick question for me if that's not too much trouble, I'm just a slight bit confused cuz I understand region locking to hunt the smaller monsters to get the perspective GL experience points to level up the regions.. my question is is when you have the amount of points needed do you go and unlock it then it just Auto updates all the region levels or how does that work? Might be me just being a dumb dumb, but I just wanted to ask for my curiosity just so I understand.
It does not auto update. While the regions are locked, you are increasing capacity. So you are getting a bigger tank. When you unlock to level up your regions, you are now filling up your bigger tank. Hope that helps.

That's the gist of it. So long as you hunt those 7200 monsters in level 7 regions. Once you do that, you have more "capacity", so the other regions don't level down.
Well I guess that makes more sense then, I've seen people with all lvl 7, but thought they must have glitched or something since mine wasn't able to be all lvl 7.

Hello from the US! Glad to hear you find my video helpful. Yes, if you hunt in a friend's level 7 region, you will get GLEXP for your own guiding lands, regardless of whether or not your own regions are locked. Hunting in other players' guiding lands will not affect your own region levels in any way (other than giving you more GLEXP). There is no advantage or disadvantage to hunt in a friend's region. You can get all regions to level 7 by increasing your overall cap. Every hunt gets you more GLEXP. When you gain enough, your cap increases. Think of it as a tank of fuel. Every hunt makes your tank bigger so you can have more "levels" overall.
So this is the method to "rush" it, right? I mean, if I just log in and hunt everything I see for long, long time without even locking the biomes, I'll get the last exp cap anyways?
Would it be most efficient to Fix my guiding lands levels and then do all those hunts? that way I can un-fix them afterward and level them all up to 7?
Hello. I've done a couple hours of runs but I'm struggling with finding the right loop. I'd really appreciate your help. I first tried doing Great Jagras + Tzitzi runs but it just doesn't seem very efficient just reporting after 1 monster. I seen another guy on YT do a Great Jagras + Pukei-Pukei lure, reporting, then doing Tzitzi + Coral Pukei-Pukei lure, report. (as the loop) I've tried doing this myself and I'm not sure that it's more efficient than just luring Jagras as it seems like Pukei has almost double Jagras HP. Unfortunately, I do not have lvl7 Wildspire to hunt Kulu's. I have lvl7 Forest, Coral, Volcanic. What do you think would be the most efficient loop for these regions?
If you're soloing, you have to report after each monster to spawn the next monster. The loop I found most effective is Great Jagras, Kulu-Ya-Ku, Great Girros. I don't really recommend Tzitzi because it takes forever to spawn, and even if you use a screaming pod to make it appear faster, it is still the most inconsistent fight out of the 4 basic monsters.
Would you recommend releveling? You think it's worth in the long run? (If so, I will) And if I were to relevel, I would 'adjust regions levels' of coral and volcanic to 1 and trap spam in rotten and wildspire? Also when you mentioned your loop, you reported after each monster your saying?
@mahi-fh1yg I do recommend a relevel. It doesn't take that long if you have region-exclusive lures. Yes, you must talk to the Handler to summon a monster. That automatically makes you report after each monster.
I might be so late but basically lock regions and hunt a ton of monster in a lvl 7 region and then? And when do you hunt specific monster region? And when can u unlock regions?
Yes. Lock regions and hunt in a level 7 region. I recommend hunting easier monsters because they all are worth the same Guiding Land exp. You can unlock in spurts, but you can also wait until the end.

Definitely. In no way is this "sidequest" is a good return on investment. It is more of a demonstration of moxie and grit.
Commenting here for the folks who are also doing this same as me. Just pick the 2 lowest hp monsters to rotate and kill. Jagras is the lowest and Tzitzi Yaku cannot stun you with its flash if you wear Fatalis gear (stun res 3 helm) so pick what you like.
What I do is rotate Jagras and Great Girros and can do 20 per hour with heroics 2 fortify spread and capture only Girros when I fight it (it's faster that way). Currently at 1-1-7-7-6-6 regions and it doesn't matter if it's region locked or not as long as you kill monsters in level 7 regions. You can probably do more than 20 in an hour but I haven't tried 4 players to comment on it.
The region doesn't automatically level up. You have to trap spam the region or kill the monster or both whichever you prefer.
When i killed à lot of jagras or girros i just need to kill à monster in a specific are to increase it with all the exp i stocked ? Sry for my bad english ^^'

Back then I left my GLs at 7-7-2-2-2-2 which means I should get Rotten Vale to 7, lock everything and spam small monsters for about 3 months with 4h of daily hunting? Sounds like a lot of work, but I still need a bunch of Golden Crowns until MH Wilds comes out (next or next-next year?).

I didn't want to either. There is a way around this. You always start the quest with your weapon of choice (bow). The guild card only counts your first weapon equipped in any quest or expedition, as you are able to swap weapons mid-hunt.

Here’s another tip to rank up your regions Luer out elder dragons and a monster that leaves a lot of tracks at the same time and collector those tracks they’ll give you research points that will level up your region depending on how many you collect at a time it’s more calmer and less frustrating
Be sure to bring your guilling mantle because you may have to lure out a monster that’s aggressive and will attack you and while you’re at it collect bone piles they give you research points too
Yes, you can do that to rank up your regions. Collecting tracks however do not increase your GL exp (cap/capacity). It's a separate process.

Damn. This video managed to kill my desire to play the guiding lands. Those monsters hunts at the end of the video wasnt gameplay, it was the dispassionate completion of chores.
It's the little things that matter. No one ever said I wasn't having fun getting my chores done. You can definitely just hunt Fatalis and Alatreon over and over until the end of time. This is optional.
So kill 7200 monsters in locked lvl 7 region. After that unlock, then max them all. Sound simple but it's too painfull, lol. I am glad found your video in my timeline and thank you so much for the info, now i can sleep. 😅😅😅

Sorry, I don’t know if I kissed it, but when gaining exp for a specific area in guided lands ( ancient forest) doesn’t other regions decrease in levels? Then the levels that decreased, when you kill monsters in those regions, won’t it drop others down? How do you get others to lvl 7 when they are decreased?
Levels decreasing happens when your total cap is unleveled. As you level up the cap with GL exp, you have more capacity, and the regions won't level down.

@azkamf.5816 Think of the level cap as a tank. When you hunt a monster in any level 7 region, the tank expands and now there is more capacity. You have more "level" to distribute across your regions, eventually all of them will be able to reach level 7.

Yes. As long as you keep hunting in a level 7 region, you're on the most efficient way to getting there.
I am still confused with the GL mechanics, if you only need to slay 7200 monsters it's fine, but doesn't other region's level decrease when you want to level up beyond overall cap?
Levels will fluctuate naturally. However, the idea is get a region or 2 to level 7, fix (lock) those regions, go hunt 7200 monsters in those level 7 regions, and then unlock and level up the other 4 regions to level 7.

Doesn't breaking parts also award XP or is this XP system seperate from region leveling? I remember a couple times when it would give me level up or down notifs mid-hunt (maybe for gathering tracks as well?). This type of grind is way too excessive for me but I'm just curious
If I understand this correctly, the general gist is that you have to fix your regions and hunt in a lvl 7 region (for maximum efficiency) to gain GL EXP that will count towards the overall region cap, correct? I just want to make sure I got the information correctly.
Also, assuming you extended your overall region cap enough so that you can increase a region level one more time without de-levelling a different one, do you just unlock and grind monsters in the desired region you want to level like how you would normally level up your regions?
Yep! You got it. One thing to be aware of is the level 7s can "overlevel" by 1 full bar, so you want to make sure your levels 7s are "lean" with very little overage.

Thx for the vid Tiny Tenor, very usefull. I was able to improve your build as the raw damage is maxed with heroics lvl7 on the vorbuster. I have now 100% affin with max might lvl5 enabled, ev. extend lvl2, constit. lvl2, fortify, tools specialist lvl5, intimidator lvl3 and most important palico rally lvl5, which gives your palico 25% more power. Makes this even stronger. Thx again Tiny, liked. Anyone interested just reply and I will post full build.
I never really liked the guiding lands because of the region level thing, but now I know it is possible to have every region maxed out I intend to do it despite the grind

Not officially. You just "eye" it with the bar progression after setting the regions to the 7-7-7-4-1-1.

That's right. The regions you hunt in must be level 7 for maximum efficiency.
Do your GL counts in guild card and weapon progression got stuck? for example i spend 50 minuts in GL killing atleast 10 monster but once i get out of it, it only increase 1 in your guild card count, and of course weapon usage also only increase once.
Does this affect the invisible GL exp progression? i worried that the game only registered 1 hunt hecne 1 invsible XP increase for 50 minutes of work.
I always report to handler after each hunt, and re-lure - repeat.

Guild card progression only advances by 1 for every "visit" or session you go GL where you hunt at least 1 monster. If you hunt 10+ in one session, Guild card will still only advance by 1. But don't worry, every hunt contributes toward GL exp. Don't go by Guild card.

The former. All hunts provide cumulative GL EXP.

There are two possible issues.
1. You may have "extra" levels in your 7 regions, meaning you overleveled them. To find out if you do, drop level 7s to level 6 and level them JUST to level 7, and not extra.
2. You simply have not hunted enough monsters. Lock your regions, hunt a few thousand monsters in the level 7 regions, then try again.

I dont think so, it would contribute to the guiding lands of the hunter that started the expedition. Best you can get is probably the materials and the lure tracks

Mantles. When you equip a mantle in the rotten vale, the miasma is negated. You can also equip miasma resist decos.

You don't need to reset after hunting 1 monster. You can hunt as many as you'd like in one visit; they all count.
There is no official visible in-game counter. You can see your progress by redistributing your levels to 7-7-7-4-1-1. The level 1 regions should be at 0 (empty).
And then you see how far you can progress the level 4 region before it starts affecting (downleveling) your level 7 regions.

I currently use the method of killing only Nergigante for the evolution of the Guiding Lands, do you recommend this method or does killing level 1 monsters still bring more advantages? You may only hunt Nergigante, but that will take a long time. Level 1 monsters and Level 3 (Nergigante) give equal amounts of GL EXP. You will make more progress hunting Level 1 monsters. However, whichever method keeps you from getting bored is the best way.
I enjoy repetitive tasks, so Level 1 monsters are no problem for me.

It begins accumulating as soon as you get to Guiding Lands. However, the amount of hunts you need to notice a difference is far beyond what is needed to get to MR 99. It is recommended to reach MR99 before grinding Guilding Lands exp.

Exactly. Fix your regions, (ideally at least 2 regions at level 7), hunt 480 monsters in those level 7 regions. Then unlock regions to increase a region of your choice by 1 level. You will talk to the handler between monsters, so you will collect rewards frequently.
How do we see our current level for thr guilding land from hunting all the monster in total, not the region level, but GL level.
There's no in-game tracker.
What you can do is set it to 777411 and see how far you can push the 4 before the level 7s start downleveling.

When you faint and it says your rewards have decreased, what does this refer to?
In normal quests, it reduces the amount of loot you receive upon quest completion. The same applies in the guiding lands. You "complete" the quests by checking in with the Handler.

My first recommendation is to level down your current regions, get Forest, Wildspire, and Rotten to 7, fix regions then hunt.
However, if that's not your cup of tea, Tziti, Viper Tobi, and Dodogama are acceptable alternatives to hunt with your current regions. Albeit slower, it is "less work".
1 level = 480 hunts
Naturally it is 7-7-7-4-1-1.
So you would need 1440 hunts in a level 7 region, to reach your 7-7-7-7-1-1 goal.

@@CamelxXxYogurt Yes, GL cap exp is gained even while regions are fixed. Think of it as making the gas tank bigger. When you unlock after hunted enough monsters, you can hold more gas. The gas tank (capacity) is shared by all regions.

Can you clarify what "get them all" means? If you mean after 7200 hunts and you level all regions to 7, then yes. You should lock.
You get 200 health and stamina by equipping Fatalis armor at the start or fainting while equipped with Fatalis armor.

Happy to help. It can be anyone's, as a long as the region you're hunting is level 7, you will get the maximum experience. Hunting and capturing is the same. It's up to your preference.

As long as you are hunting in a level 7 region, you are receiving the maximum amount of Guiding Lands exp. Hunting in any of the level 7 is fine (coral, forest, volcano). Hunting in Tundra at level 4 is not as efficient. Unless you want level up your Tundra and then lock regions.

This grind is too much for my heart 😂. I know its pointless and skummy to cheat in game especially like monster hunter where its beautiful to grind all you weapons and taste the fruits of you success, but i think i will have to mod all the regions to lvl 7, because i dont see any point in putting over 300 something hours into this just to get the materials for my augments.
The point was never about the materials, but that you get to play monster hunter for 300 more hours is the real reward. This is on console, so modding isn't really a thing.

If your Tundra and Volcano are dropping down to Level 6, you maybe have residual exp in your other regions. Even if your Forest is level 1, there may be exp in it (on its way to level 2).
The original cap is 7+7+7+4+1+1+1.
You must reduce/empty out your other regions. There are 2 methods to do this.
Because if you drop your levels via the Guiding Lands adjust menu, the lowest you can go is level 1, even if there is residual exp in that region. The best way to to empty out a region is to level it to just level 2 (hunt and then collect some tracks), and then adjust it down to level 1.

Does the trap-cheese also work towards leveling up the GL EXP? Or just the individual regions?
It does not. While the trap spam does allow you to easily level up your regions, it does not count as GL EXP. GL EXP is only rewarded after a hunt is completed. Even if you had someone help you do the exploit where you get "kicked" and trap a near-death monster, load back in, rejoin, trap it again, repeat, it is not as fast as just hunting another monster, due to loading times.

Hello tiny tenor, I'm a bit late to comment but I have a few questions if you're willing to answer I would really appreciate it. 😃 So First question is If I Get Enough "GL EXP" for 28 lvls So 7, 7, 7, 5, 1, 1 have I unlocked 28 lvls permanently and even if my lvls fluctuate will always have 28 lvls? Or does it reset back to 27 if I unlock my regions. Second Does the GL exp I gathered get lost if I unlock and my regions fluctuate Or can I just Lock my regions get 10080 exp and unlock and let it fluctuate and just Lock again whenever I feel like farming for more Lvls so I can get 7, 7, 7, 7, 7, 7 without having to do it all in one go? Meaning I can eventually get

Once you gain enough GL exp for 7-7-7-5-1-1, your cap is increased to 28 permanently, locked or unlocked.
You never "lose" levels once enough GL EXP is acquired. Your levels might fluctuate if they're unlocked.
You can get all Level 7 playing casually. Every hunt in Guiding Lands is cumulative.
Think of it as a pitcher of lemonade. Every hunt is another drop in your pitcher. Once you hunt enough, you can fill all 7 cups.

Hey there, so just a quick question for me if that's not too much trouble, I'm just a slight bit confused cuz I understand region locking to hunt the smaller monsters to get the perspective GL experience points to level up the regions.. my question is is when you have the amount of points needed do you go and unlock it then it just Auto updates all the region levels or how does that work? Might be me just being a dumb dumb, but I just wanted to ask for my curiosity just so I understand.
It does not auto update.
While the regions are locked, you are increasing capacity.
So you are getting a bigger tank.
When you unlock to level up your regions, you are now filling up your bigger tank. Hope that helps.

That's the gist of it. So long as you hunt those 7200 monsters in level 7 regions. Once you do that, you have more "capacity", so the other regions don't level down.
Well I guess that makes more sense then, I've seen people with all lvl 7, but thought they must have glitched or something since mine wasn't able to be all lvl 7.
Could be. On PS4 you can save wizard, but you have to stay offline or it will reset. I did mine on Xbox.
Does lowering your area lvl reset the exp counter?

Hello ,I'm from Paris, and your video help me a lot. I have a question, if I go on another guiding land with region lock OFF. If we kill a monster in my friend's guiding land region 7, will it work for me to get the GLEXP for my own GL ? And will it decrease MY ergion level ? Is it better to hunt in my GL friends with lock ON ?
Another question, how do we keep all region to level 7 if we keep killing the same monsters on the region forest and desert ?

Yes, if you hunt in a friend's level 7 region, you will get GLEXP for your own guiding lands, regardless of whether or not your own regions are locked.
Hunting in other players' guiding lands will not affect your own region levels in any way (other than giving you more GLEXP).
There is no advantage or disadvantage to hunt in a friend's region.
You can get all regions to level 7 by increasing your overall cap. Every hunt gets you more GLEXP. When you gain enough, your cap increases. Think of it as a tank of fuel. Every hunt makes your tank bigger so you can have more "levels" overall.

True. This is the expedited method.
As long as you're hunting in a level 7 region, you will receive the most GL exp for each hunt.
So fixing a region to level 7 and kill a lot of monsters in that region does it count to the overall level cap

Hello. I've done a couple hours of runs but I'm struggling with finding the right loop. I'd really appreciate your help.
I first tried doing Great Jagras + Tzitzi runs but it just doesn't seem very efficient just reporting after 1 monster.
I seen another guy on YT do a Great Jagras + Pukei-Pukei lure, reporting, then doing Tzitzi + Coral Pukei-Pukei lure, report. (as the loop)
I've tried doing this myself and I'm not sure that it's more efficient than just luring Jagras as it seems like Pukei has almost double Jagras HP.
Unfortunately, I do not have lvl7 Wildspire to hunt Kulu's. I have lvl7 Forest, Coral, Volcanic. What do you think would be the most efficient loop
for these regions?
If you're soloing, you have to report after each monster to spawn the next monster. The loop I found most effective is Great Jagras, Kulu-Ya-Ku, Great Girros. I don't really recommend Tzitzi because it takes forever to spawn, and even if you use a screaming pod to make it appear faster, it is still the most inconsistent fight out of the 4 basic monsters.
If you really can't relevel your regions, then it would Tzitzi, Jagras, Dodogama.
Would you recommend releveling? You think it's worth in the long run? (If so, I will)
And if I were to relevel, I would 'adjust regions levels' of coral and volcanic to 1 and trap spam in rotten and wildspire?
Also when you mentioned your loop, you reported after each monster your saying?
@mahi-fh1yg I do recommend a relevel. It doesn't take that long if you have region-exclusive lures. Yes, you must talk to the Handler to summon a monster. That automatically makes you report after each monster.
@mahi-fh1yg Trap spamming is fine if you have limited resources to make lures. Yes, would drop the other regions to level 1.
I might be so late but basically lock regions and hunt a ton of monster in a lvl 7 region and then? And when do you hunt specific monster region? And when can u unlock regions?
Yes. Lock regions and hunt in a level 7 region. I recommend hunting easier monsters because they all are worth the same Guiding Land exp. You can unlock in spurts, but you can also wait until the end.

I kind of understand how this works it’s like 50 50 for me but how long should I grind for killing Great Jagras like how many hours and how many should I kill to level up a region then move on to the next one sorry if you get asked this a lot.
Hunt Jagras for about 32 hours, then you get 1 level.

Yes. Exp is earned per hunt, regardless of whether or not regions are fixed.
How does it work? Because when I try too lvl up one region the others drop how do i fix that?
You need to hunt 7200 monsters in a Lvl. 7 region first.
