I am a bit at odds about his presumptive opinion that he is somehow "unhappy" about that. U lead and only have focus on the high most. I guess we are all human and we learn and grow to where we are meant to be. I have learned decades from Pastor Begg and need to learn more about his seemingly disappointed view of others in the church that felt the need to move on and connect/build in faith. Maybe I m wrong in my questioning.
With gay and trans weddings now commonplace, the church will have to respond biblically! While we love the sinner, we cannot compromise our stance! Attending a gay wedding would be complicit with such a practice. It would send a congratulatory message of blessing to a union that is not approved by God!

Was Jesus 'anti Biblical' when sat and ate with sinners? Every time He speaks to any one of us, that's what He's doing! I would struggle with going to a gay wedding but not with loving the people. The best way to lose that indignation is to see the true colours of your own heart. In the revealing and healing light of the Son.
You've only got Arminianism then, and in isolation it's every bit as Unbiblical as Hyper Calvinism. Chuck Miissler, a solid Bible teacher, nailed precisely the entire divide between the two apparently opposed camps of Calvinism vs Arminianism: "They're both RIGHT in what they AFFIRM & WRONG in what they DENY." That's a very fair assessment that does no violence to God's unquestionable Sovereignty + Man's evident Freedom. Heard that 25 years ago and never forgot it it helps us balance the 2 extremes. Absolute fake news. Begg holds firm to the biblical understanding of marriage. The issue at hand is a difference of opinion for what constitutes affirmation. Begg's given advice is open to disagreement amongst brothers & sisters but this kind of mischaracterization is foolish.
