    Sorry to hear you say that making your posts was causing you stress.
    It's so bizarre, because you come across so happy go lucky; and almost nonchalant, sometimes. Not to mention just how good your videos are.
    Anyway, just to let you know how much your efforts are appreciated. There was one specific shot in this post, where the camera looked around 200 yards away, at least!
    It was a simple shot, probably hardly noticed by some; but I thought, that shot must have taken some time to achieve; despite appearing for about two seconds in the film.
    But that's hats off to you Jason; your posts are such fun, beautiful photography, and engrossing conversations; so much so that many folk won't realise the work you put in; never mind the time you tell us editing takes alone!
    So thankyou so much for taking the time to film this little adventure; it is appreciated buddy!
    Three final thoughts:
    1) If it always rains when you take that tent.....don't take that tent!🤣
    2)Tea bags in hotels are "complimentary" and seeing they don't stipulate just how many cups of tea your permitted to have; other than the amount they leave in the room; so you're allowed to have them...its not pinching..they're yours..you've paid for them!
    3) Have you considered taking a spare t-shirt/top to sleep in!? You where mentioning being cold in this one (Baltic) I often find that when I reach camp, I'm often cold and can't warm up, however many layers I put on!
    The reason..sweating inside the clothing, cools next to the skin when you stop, and you get a bit of a chill, that takes ages to get on top of, if at all.
    I find however cold I feel; often not wanting to strip off and change my shirt. But I soon warm up, with a clean shirt on; and I'm always glad I did! What are your thoughts on this?
    Take care Jason..look after yourself matey! 😊

      I really enjoyed making this one. I really enjoy making videos and I even enjoy the editing process for the most part. It just overwhelmed me a bit when everything else in life started to kick off.
      You are spot on about bringing a spare shirt, an oversight on my part. It would make a big difference to have a spare to change into so I will have to remember that for the next one.
      Cheers for the kind words Tim, I always enjoy reading your comments

The climb up Mahon Falls is a challenge alright with an overnight bag! I hope you find a RUclips balance that you’re happy with in the near future..life is hard enough! I wonder how the slug digested the electrolyte tea 😂🤔

    • @RamblingOn
      @RamblingOn  Год назад

      It does have quite a large footprint for a one person tent, I find that because the inner is at an angle it can be tricky to line it up properly if you only have a sliver of flat ground to deal with. I generally don't worry too much about the vestibule space once the inner is on flat ground.
      As you saw in this video it was a very uneven camp spot 😄

    The wild camping is something i don't do but must start. Your camping locations so far seem to be at the top thats differnt to thru hikers that pitch lower but not on the valley floor.
    Ive cronic back pain for 22 years. I think the hiking helps. I fight to stay active but in the past 4 years went from 12.5 stone go 16.9 stone back to 14.5 now. That is something you may have less contrrol over long term but you if you can walk 30 mins a day 4 times a week you will be doing a lot to stay well.

    • @RamblingOn
      @RamblingOn  9 месяцев назад

      I'm currently out of action with back pain. It's going on 5 months now. I can't walk too far now without pain all down my right leg. I'm working on it every day, it's my own fault because when I was feeling good I slacked off on exercise and looking after myself. I knew I had a back injury, I've three broken discs in my lower back, I still slacked off and put on weight.
      I find ice baths excellent for short term pain relief, DDP Yoga is fantastic. If I had kept that up I wouldn't be where I am now.
      When the pain fades away I'll be doing regular DDP yoga, calisthenics and ice baths for the rest of my life. That is purely so that I can live my life, play with my kids and go camping.
      I feel your pain and I really hope you find some relief from it 🍀🙌

      @stuartchester6899 tent pegs are very important when it comes to trekking pole tents. They have been my favourite pegs, I never leave without them
