While I do not agree with every single point Mr. Davis makes, it is hard for any thinking person to deny that the chasm between the have's, and the have-nots has reached a point where it is insurmountable. "The American cult of the individual denies not just community but the very idea of society. No one owes anything to anyone. All must be prepared to fight for everything: education, shelter, food, medical care." - Wade Davis. I emigrated from Mexico to the US as a mature man back in the early '90s, and the paragraph above from Mr. Wade Davis's article describes the cultural shock I experienced. Aside from the immediate family and friends, nobody gives a damn about anybody else, and the sad thing is that it is contagious. Regardless of race, we all end up the same way because society dictates and expects that from an individual. The coldness and bitterness are so evident and strong that they actually slap a person in the face. If it is not a bug but a feature, then what an ugly feature. And let's not talk about the profound racial division, horrible sense of entitlement, and rancid patriotism. These three are a punch to the gut because no matter what, we emigrants will never belong. If things continue to deteriorate the way they currently are, in the not-so-distant future, I can clearly see ethnic cleansing. In this respect, I think, the civil war never ended.

Trudeau behaved as a bloody dictator/tyrant during COVID, forcing these lockdowns, and forcing experimental vaccines on people. There was that one Canadian town that as of almost 2 years ago had something like 80 miscarriages post-vaccination. All the young Canadian doctors who died. The abysmal treatment of the Canadian truckers...yeah, Canada is a loving country. Right. Also, the liberal Mayor of New York has begun bussing the immigrants that Canada loves so much up to Canada because he knows they'll get a warm welcome from such morally superior people. Except we just learned they aren't getting a warm welcome --- I just read in the past week that Canada is getting angry about this, and has demanded the Mayor of NY STOP providing Canada with this wonderful opportunity to share its love and show the U.S. how much better it is. Oh well, I hate it when that happens to me.
@@HomeAtLast501 The reason I commented on this post is that I am reading his book at the moment, Magdalena River of Dreams published in 2020. So far it's a good read within his genre of expertise, anthropology. He had traveled through Colombia in the 70's. What attracted me to the book (the cover?) was that I had red read Gabriel Marques' books like One Hundred Years of Solitude, Love in the Time of Cholera and the Patriarch to name a few. I have been following the events in Canada for the past few years on sites like Amazing Polly and Houndog etc. and what Trudeau has done to the country is absolutely horrifying. Police busting up churches freezing up protesters accounts, real stazi stuff. I hope he looks at the truckers convoy in Canada 2021 and read the events in Cianaga Colombia and the massacre that took place there in the 20's. There are strong parallels as to how liberal parties can be infiltrated and subverted from within. In reality Canada, Australia, UK and New Zealand are fascist regimes controlled by the WEF. Check out Klaus Schwab's family history and the Modum Opperandi of this great reset. There again there are strong parallels that stick out like a sore thumb. Cheers
@@pauldrake1858 I know all about Schwab, WEF The Great Reset, Agenda 2030 (formerly Agenda 21). In a separate comment on this video, a year ago, I made reference to Trudeau's saying he admires China's dictatorship, and that he is on camera pledging himself to "building back better". I know all about New Zealand and Australia, and actually have some inside info on why that PM in Australia resigned last year from an Aussie friend of mine. One thing that's embarrassing about this video is that he is holding himself up to us as some authority who has such superior cultural, political and historical insights that he feels he needs to share them publicly to we the uninformed. Yet, when you listen to him you see he has far less insight than many of us ---- he doesn't know what's going on. He reminds me of the self-satisfied, upper middle-class, academic class here in the U.S. He watched CNN and MSNBC, and probably reads the NYT and The Atlantic, possibly The New Yorker, and he thinks he's on the cutting intellectual edge because of this, when in reality these are fake news organizations. Up in Canada Rebel News is actually telling the truth and doing real journalism. He's bashing Trump. I voted for Obama in 2008. 80% of Trump's platform was lifted, stolen, from Obama's '08 campaign platform. The difference was, Obama broke every promise without explanation or apology, and this allowed Trump to recycle Obama's platform in '16. And then Trump went on to fulfill the promises. LIke, Obama actually promised to impose tariffs on China to protect American manufacturing jobs, and Democrats applauded when he would say this. Then once elected he dropped the promise and said those jobs are never coming back.Trump then made the exact same promise, and he was called a xenophobe who didn't understand free trade and economics. Trump then kept the promised and it worked. Or, Obama promised to renegotiate our unfair trade deals, including and especially NAFTA, and Obama was lauded as an economic genius who loved working people --- he understood how to protect our workers. Then a month after he entered office he dropped the promise. So Trump made the promise in '16 and he was branded the champion of the uneducated white male, as though it NOW was a bad thing to help our manufacturing people. Trump didn't understand economics, and was anti-free trade. I could go on with the examples. This bozo doesn't understand ANY of this. He doesn't know these basic facts, yet he is going to instruct ME on how America is falling? Nah. It's not going to happen.
@@HomeAtLast501 I agree with most of what you say or last PM Jacind Ardern promised the end of homelessness, solving the housing crisis especially in Auckland and more health care etcetera. Non of that happened. Politicians should be jailed for breaking promises. As for Trump, I didn't like him much before the was president, those "your fired" reality shows, but as a president I was impressed. It was the opposite with Obama he just sold out. Anyway all I can say is that the world needs a damned good clean out and I think we can agree on that. Cheers

Our new administration is working tirelessly trying to keep this country from falling by continuing to flow more money into our economy.. Unfortunately the amount has grown so much, we no longer have the ability to ever dig ourselves back out.. The simple sounding solution would be for them to cease pumping stimulus money into our economy.. The consequence to that would be an obvious collapse of our economy.. Pumping more money in at the rate they have been, will cause hyperinflation.. Both roads lead to the end of a once beautiful nation.. There is nothing this administration or any alternative administration could do to divert this coming end.. I always thought of America as too big and much too powerful to fail, but it goes to show nothing is ever too big to fail.
Chinese government encourage people to study overseas to learn fron west. And Trump use "you will be learning Chinese" scare people. See the difference? US is over, era of Middle Kingdom arrived... again.
Canada indeed is no perfect place. You have a PM who is on video saying to a public audience that he envies China's dictatorship because they can get a lot done quickly. He also is on video professing to Davos that he is committed to "a great reset" in which Canada "builds back better".
@@marymolloy562 I am back on this video a year later because someone replied to another comment I made. I just re-watched the video, and, unfortunately for Wade it didn't age well. I just made the point in response to this other person that Wade reveals he doesn't understand our immigration dilemma. We did not turn anti-immigrant. He doesn't have the facts. For AT LEAST 20 years we have been allowing 1 million immigrants into the country LEGALLY, through our normal legal process. That is a HUGE number. That did not change under Trump. In some years Trump let in more than Obama did. We are trying to prevent the ILLEGAL immigrants. And just this week I read that Canada is getting frustrated with illegals. I read that the Mayor of NY has been bussing illegals to Canada because you love them so much, but, to our shock, Canada is getting really angry about this opportunity to share its love and is demanding the Mayor stop doing this.

Also, his arrogant view of Canada's behavior and policies during COVID, and toward immigration, must embarrass him now.
Cheers
Tell Americans what corporation bought them... Canada is a common wealth. USA is a corporation
Brilliant
There is no sense of the common good.
Good. America has outstayed its welcome.
"Since the 1970's China has not gone to war. America has not been at peace."
It's welcome by whom?
Mass disillusionment or mass psychosis? What will it be america?
Mass Psychosis....
Very evident in my State.....
You see sir , what happened to Americans they got arrogant they totally forgot the good things of the country to share with fellow Americans and turned instead Arrogance.
He just said the same thing on al Jazeera
I'm sure they loved it!
Are we doomed? Is there anything we can do to prevent our demise?
Chinese government encourage people to study overseas to learn fron west. And Trump use "you will be learning Chinese" scare people.
See the difference? US is over, era of Middle Kingdom arrived... again.
US can only be dominant when the rest of the world is asleep. The world has awakened.
Canada indeed is no perfect place. You have a PM who is on video saying to a public audience that he envies China's dictatorship because they can get a lot done quickly. He also is on video professing to Davos that he is committed to "a great reset" in which Canada "builds back better".
that is exactly what I was going to write. actually we are in worse shape than the US right now!
@@marymolloy562 yes you are. Sorry about that Canada
Comparing black death with 40-50% mortality to covid 19 with 0.2-3.2% is very misleading. It gives wrong understanding of what's going on.
Regardless, America has a scheduled collapse date which most expert economists pick the year 2025. History dictates America is overdue. America is an embarrassment. America cannot produce, phones, televisions or medical supplies. America deserves the collapse at the will of China and the globalists.
so you're point is that things don't need to be this way. yes, we know that BUT the 'powers that be' WANT it this way! And THAT should be the topic!
Come up with your own storyline rather than expecting others to cater to your own narrow little preferences
The creeps in Davos want to rule the world and baring a miracle they will!
Ok, but the only reason why Canada can have that kind of a living standard is because it is completely and utterly dependent on the USA for everything except for maybe fresh water.
Oh my, the haunting of people voting for the candidate they want. The sheer haunting.
More like Wiener Davis, amirite?
Its disturbing to see America like this.
America is this and WORSE, ask the Native peoples and the kidnapped Africans worked to death or the MASSACRED buffalo, that were MURDERED to starve Native peoples. The country was built on a false premace of wt supemacy
I don’t agree. Things can change in a generation. If you actually spend time around the kids, you’ll see an openness that is promising. Trump is the last breath of a dying generation. The polarization will continue, but the population will gradually shift blue while red will shrink.
I would love to agree, but I don’t think that this is very realistic.
And kids in China start writing at three, solve equations at 6. Another generation, oh yea.

Canada? I stopped it at 13 min. I’m a union elevator mechanic (iuec) I’m 59. Tomorrow I’ll get into my truck that monitors everything I do via gps. I’ll get a call from a 25 year old person with blue hair if I take to long to complete a task. Then I’ll go to a new construction site full of little brown men who don’t speak English and use text messages to communicate with the Forman standing in front of me. Then I’ll go to West Hollywood and pull up to my next job with people in tents urinating, defecting, fornicating. And shooting up and hope they Don’t steal my tools from my truck. My great x5 grandfather served in the war of 1812. He was a pioneer. The rest came in 1890’s they were immigrants, big difference. It’s over for western civilization. I spent most of my life listening to NPR. NPR is now white hate radio, you should apply there. They would love you. Your a silly man. You might want to listen to some DR Paul gottfried. Have him over for tea. You’ll thank me, and so will your family. One last thing if you send your kids to LAUSD you don’t love them, or you can’t feed them.
I expected nothing more from a Canadian intellectual mistaking feeble compliance for virtue built on smoke and mirrors.
Ok. He is very much a left-winger/a liberal and a collectivist.
oh no.. caring about people besides yourself..

Stop falsely quoting that our president said to treat COVID with disinfectants. That remark was in context of the millions of dollars wasted in the research of how light kills the virus. That statements absurdity was intended to inspire people to find realistic solutions to fight COVID. It’s called sarcasm. You should look that word up in the dictionary.
😂 He was serious as a heart attack when he stood before the universe and nattered on about injecting light and disinfectants. Way in over his low IQ ability.
Donald Trump was doing great for America although an untamed mouth. look at the jobs created and the border during his time in office. Now open your eyes and take another look. Point made.
He opposed the Davos crowd and told them where to shove their Great Reset. I do however agree that he dosent have a great personality.
