I liked this, often find it hard to concentrate for long periods unless something is interesting. I watched the whole thing and thoroughly enjoyed it.

When it comes to what I'd love to see... more custom systems. Not really like general hardware in different ways, but like custom builds. Custom cases, specialty attachments, different items that people don't talk about or use much in their systems.

I'm with you on your reference design preferences. Vega Frontier Edition would still be a great piece of hardware to put in a display, if nothing else.

I highly recommend the Curious Droid YT channel for anyone who likes science content.. It's presented more like a documentary than the "science is cool. let's blow stuff up" reality type videos, but every video is very well done and he covers a lot of history and military stuff too.
Ever since the Discovery and History channels turned to pseudoscientific reality show bullshit I have found a goldmine of great content here on youtube.

That first question was super stupid. The person who wrote that should be ashamed...

Your GPU choices for design were excellent choices. They are definitely some of my favorites.

Thanks for answering my question man. ❤Love these sit down Q&A, just chill videos. I feel ya on making content when no one’s watching. If you ever want to get together, hit me up and I’ll stop by. Would love to check out the studio!

Enjoyed the Q&A and I think it works well as impromptu. I've also liked your recent videos where you just talk about a specific topic and elaborate on your opinion.
I would love to know what it will take to break through the nvidia mindshare problem. I've always had nvidia cards going back to the TNT era, but when details on their margins became public and EVGA left the market I decided that I would make an extra effort to keep competition in mind.
I had to get a video card for a second machine last year and would have happily bought one of the Intel cards if they didn't require ReBar and it was never enabled on older platforms. That left nvidia and amd, and at the time the rtx 2060 I ended up with was the best $/perf on the market. Hindsight I wish I'd been able to wait because there were fantastic deals on AMD cards during holiday sales. The thing that stood out about these sales was that some of the AMD cards were 20-30% cheaper than nvidia cards which were slower, but all of the nvidia cards below $600 msrp were at best msrp, but mostly above. That can only happen when people aren't considering the competition at all and I just don't know how you break that.

me being nice: why didn't you make a better decision then to end up here saying that? Don't you value your time? Don't you have more important things to do than make comments like that? Don't answer those questions.

    G'day Brian,
I thought I'd split my comment today as it is about 2 very different topics.
1st it was cool to see your RC Shelf you have some really cool looking cars, I finally after many years got some help with painting my Tamiya 1/14 Mercedes 1838LS (was a bit worried doing it myself due to my tremor) & looking forward to building the Chassis this year, it is one of over 20 Tamiya RC kits I have including Mammoth Dump, Wild Willy 2 (1 Painted in AusCam & 1 LE Chrome Edition), Farm King, Juggernaut & Juggernaut 2, plus many 1/10 off road & touring cars including a couple of TRF Racing Chassis.

If you want real science, check out Thunderbolts Project here on YT. Since discovering the Electric Universe Theory, my life has changed drastically. And it made me have to unlearn all the BS I was taught before, though it has been very rewarding.
As for cars, well... I have been a Mechanic for about 40 years now. When I started, it was relatively simple. As time went on, I had to become more. I had to learn electronics, automotive computers, a plumber, a mathematician, the list goes on! And I have had to invest a lot of money along the way. Don't get me wrong, I believe that every day is a school day, and I have to keep up with my love/hate relationship with machines! LOL!
Al the best to you in 2023, Brian! o7

2nd regarding PC Questions my Answer for the last Question is very different, Who can save the GPU Market?
Customers, by not buying when any of the Companies are not treating their Customers with Respect. Not just AMD, intel & nVIDIA but the also the Partners & the Selling Sites like Amazon, Newegg & all the others, we need to be strong not buying new products when price creep outweighs inflation or when a company refuses to look after customers problems.
As for who is innovating the most at the moment I would say that is AMD with their Chiplet designs in both CPU & GPUs, intel & nVIDIA are both stuck on Monolithic Dies that are struggling to push performance without massive size increases to the die, this is also increasing cost as it limits buth number of dies per wafer & increases the chance of failed dies, AMD has said their Chiplet Designs are much cheaper to produce, now they have admitted that what we need is AMD not to get greedy & actually price according to production cost + reasonable margin & not just price compared to similar performance intel & nVIDIA products.

I enjoyed the Q&A.Q&As are done by lots of channels, even those in the techtuber space. So I don't see this as a ripoff of Paul's (or any other RUclipsr's) content. It's about you connecting with your fans.
Now, if you started a weekly news roundup full of fart jokes and memes I might think otherwise.

I dont think any OEM will save us, Consumer GPU's are probably just lower bins of data center CPU's, like Ryzen being based on EPIC. If that's the case, corporate is where the money is and were small potaoes.
