Carlisle 21 Sept 2021 - Mixed Variety PLUS a little Hoover surprise at the end

This was my first visit to Carlisle for nearly 2 years and haven't seen my pal and fellow You Tuber Alan McKever for the same time.
It was good to meet up and chat over a cuppa and talk trains!
We enjoyed our visit but Carlisle is a shadow of its former busy self with regard to freight traffic, so I've padded it out with some TPE 397s and an Avanti Pendolino.
The highlight for me was the appearance of Merchant Navy class 35018 British India Line looking superb but arriving some 85 mins late due, I was told, to no sand in the boxes and having to get a class 37 to the rescue at Hellifield. Sadly Alan missed it and I just got it, but couldn't stay for its departure.
As a bonus I've included a clip of the Solway 50s railtour filmed at New Cumnock. Turn up and listen to the sound from the "Hoovers"!
