Boom is in such a weird place to be in a competitive community. It's like he is prepared for a tough opponent that doesn't exist. Basically very well practiced and precise play always.
I feel bad for Boom sometimes. Seems like he's never the crowd favorite. All those years playing against Isai and being considered the enemy and it's still happening
He's also a jerk. I played him in the second round of the first tournament I ever played. I was really excited to meet him but he just spent the whole time insulting me and not taking it seriously.
SlantyOlis Can you explain a bit more about that situation? I have a hard time imagining boom just straight up insulting a newbie player for no reason. (like which tourney it was, what was your tag, how did he insult you or behave with you)
DarkLeviathan8 yeah that's kinda weird cuz I met him at smash con 2016 and he was super nice. He was honestly interested with me talking about 64 and loved that I main falcon and Really wanted to talk.
Which Controlsticks are those gentlemen using? I frecuently destroy sticks till there is no sensivity for Jiggs Teleport + Rest or other input-heavy stuff. So I need an solution for a cheap replacement which isn't unplayable with cause of uber-sensitivity (GameCube-Style-crap) or an ever-solution. Help guys, want to play competetiv SMB64 and don't like feeling like after 3 weeks of traing my inputs won't work anymore ^^
bit late to the party, but superboomfan is using a steel stick from steelsticks64.com/ they are super durable and precise, if you apply some lube to this stick every now and then you will be able to use it for years without any loss in precision. keep in mind that this vendor has had a big waiting list to go through as the manufacturing has been a bit slow. seems like he is making good progress now though and might be able to supply some sticks to the masses soon. another alternative is to wait a bit for prestige gaming to come out with his steel stick module which is now in beta. prestige-gaming.ca/product/the-p64-module-%CE%B2/ another option is to go for a hori, not used by these players but a lot of pro players use them. the original hori is no longer produced and can only be bought used through amazon or ebay for quite a hefty price. but a new designed hori like controller is being manufactured by retro-bit now, and will be a lot cheaper. from what i have heard it is really good, but it has a kind of gamecube style stick, although a lot better quality then what you find in most third party controllers. here is a link: retro-bit.com/tribute64 The only other option after that is to buy used original controllers, which i think is what wizzrobe is using. you can find some cheap ones on ebay from japan, but the shipping will be the biggest cost factor. reccomend that you stock up a bit to reduce shipping costs.
honestly set needs to be replayed, wizzy got hit by an egg from the crowd which completely demoralized him and threw him off his game. If we can't DQ boom then that's the least the TO's can do
Boom is a funny guy, but wizzy is obviously more popular therefore getting most of the crowd to cheer for him. I don’t see people consider boom the “villain” but he definitely isn’t as popular as wizzy or isai

he's preparing for isai
8:04 boom smiles because wizzy failed to parry the egg

Sounds like you're talking out of your butt lol
@@SlantyOlis Idk what you're talking about, I met him at a tournament and he gave me advice lmao
How dare you not cheer for my boy Boom >:( He is doing the universe a favor by going Falcon and not some dumb rat.
Wizzrobe is doing the universe a favor by going Yoshi and not some dumb rat/balloon/racer.
Falcon brain dead character
Lol at Falcon being braindead. Don't see the issue with going Pikachu either.
It is so nice to see a final without Pikachu or Kirby for a change.
This game deserves more hype
Who threw that egg at my boi Wizzy?
Thats was funny
2:33 match starts
I wear my sunglasses at.....
Smash tournaments
damn, that wasn't close. filthy falcon
Is Wizzrobe the only yoshi player in the world who doesn't spam flutterjump's super armor?
ZyloTheTinyTonTerror Nah he does just not in this matchup
what a damn boring audience. if i would be there i would scream for wizzy
There was like 30 people in the audience cause 64 was in the morning, then it started to fill up around Rivals of Aether. Also no crowd mic

64 is 4 stocks now?
Yes
Why is boom wearing sunglasses inside? Lol
Because he's a cool dude and that's what cool dudes do

When did that happen?
+Jake Zepeda 8:05
zombieaids, Oh i wasn't watching between matches cus i was on lunch break. My stupid ass thought you meant a real egg XD.
+Jake Zepeda you trynna say yoshi's aren't real? yoshi lives matter
Isn't Smash 64 five stock? They played their entire set with 4.
They change to 4 somewhere around this year
Wait... what? Stock and time in SSB64? somebody explain me pls
it's a mod, the same mod that allows them to play on battlefield and FD for instance (though they only play on dreamland still)
They’re playing on an everdrive through the 19XX mod.
Boom is a funny guy, but wizzy is obviously more popular therefore getting most of the crowd to cheer for him. I don’t see people consider boom the “villain” but he definitely isn’t as popular as wizzy or isai
I like Boom mostly cause his smash boards profile picture used to be Miku.
6:40
(Spoiler) Boom just cleaned the floor with wizzy, heh
Booms win rate against him is extremely high so no surprise there, like I think wizzy only ever won 1 set out of like a dozen.
That fucking uptilt...
I’m just going to assume that’s a bad matchup bc wow..
Bomp Shardz it's not. Yoshi has a lot of answers, just Boom is very very very good.
Yeah it seems to be a toss up type of matchup. Boom is just the better player.
Yeah, he's a 64 "god" like m2k is a melee "god" he's just a lot better than wizzy, no shade at wizzy.
That dude looks.like matt Murdock! From daredevil
Erik E. Rodriguez what if boom is actually blind
not even close
Wizzrobe is bad against cfalcons.
flys illitated...XD
Embarrassing
I don't like these GF's one bit. You both scurrd. 1v1 me.
