I love how it's the most distinct Smash game, but with Kirby, Pikachu, and Falcon the characters people play the most it's a lot of zero-deaths You get too much of a good thing and it becomes slightly stale. He's closer in temperament to Goku. A groovy chill dude who likes fighting for its own sake, not conquest. Also he follows Goku's pattern of always power scaling to the competitor. He never goes Super Saiyan max if he doesn't think the opponent is up to it.
I like how pikachu's electricity shows the victims skeleton in this game. Unfortunately, that characteristic didn't carry over in the newer smash bros games.

IIRC, stock matches in smash 64 don't have a time limit so they used the modded version (19xx?) which has those stages selectable.
