  • In this video, I (@phinqs) show you how to build an efficient stone base with an integrated storage room. The build includes a step-by-step guide of the exterior and interior design. The interior consists of a bedroom area, max level cauldron, max level workbench, max level forge, and a storage room.

    Okay so I did a similar build to this I play no mods and no debug mode so this build took me half a day in real time (especially cause when I finished the first time the ground shook and 3 troll’s destroyed my roof but omg it was so satisfying when done and still is, all my friends come into my stone house instead of the wood houses they have 😂 thanks a lot for this video mate!

      You have to be careful of those trolls, haha! I'm really glad you built something you are happy with though. It really is half the enjoyment of the game. Thanks a lot for your comment.

    YES! I just finished this build, totally love it! I did however, swap the trim pieces with core wood. Very well thought out plans and great contribution with the video. Thank you! 🥰😉😁

      I am glad you enjoyed it! Core wood is pretty nice too but I sometimes find it awkward to build with so personally go for the regular wood but it's all down to preference. Thanks for taking the time to comment and letting me know you built it!

      I'm very glad I managed to help out a bit! You can probably start to take some of the tips and apply them to your own builds too! I just like to experiment a lot and normally I will find something that I like. I don't think I am incredibly creative either, haha! Thanks for the engagement!

    Thanks a lot for your builds! I watched every single one of them bc of the great ideas you have. The only thing is that I play with three friends so I try to adapt your builds to make more space for them.

    I have been using your builds a lot. I did the starter house with storage (raised platform for bed) and also added the storage building outside. But this looks like it might be my next base. I am scoping out a spot with a fairly quiet bay to I can make a nice dock as well.

    Thanks for the cool building and even more the explanations while demonstrating. That's tremendously valuable. I'd been wondering how to handle the upgrades to the forge and workbench without hiding those elements. Using the 3d space makes a lot more sense. Again thanks!

      I'm glad you got some value out of this video - it's always nice to see my work reach the right people and help them out. Making use of the 3D space allows you to create some helpful and creative workarounds in Valheim - not just with the forge and workbench but changes of elevation throughout your builds. For example, where you can place your beds and fires for warmth. Thank you for the positive feedback and engagement on the video!

    This has been a challenging build as I play vanilla and use scaffold

    • @phinqs
      @phinqs  Год назад +1

      I thought that I also built this using scaffolding? If you need to get slightly higher at sections, I recommend using one or two ladders to raise you up. Using ladders should provide you with enough height to complete this build easily. Thanks for your support!

    I love your builds..use them. Im wondering if i missed one w the iron chests? Or are the iron chests not advised..efficient etc?

    • @phinqs
      @phinqs  Год назад +1

      Thanks a lot for your comment! I'm really glad that you like my builds - it gives me motivation to keep making them. I have never made a storage house with reinforced chests. Although, they are much more efficient than the regular chests. If you want to replace the chests with reinforced chests, place the chests on the top shelf first and work downwards. This should keep the spacing consistent! Good question though. I should probably make a storage house with reinforced chests at some point.

    • @nelsonhemstreet3568
      @nelsonhemstreet3568 Год назад +1

      Reinforced chests are the most efficient storage - better than black metal. In a 4m x 2m area, I get 3 black metal chests @ 32 = 96 slots. But in the same area, I get 5 reinforced chests @ 24 = 120 slots.
      BUT, reinforced chests cost fine wood and iron. I prefer to use fine wood for comfort furniture and portals and use iron for gear and construction.
      There is a mod called "BronzeAgeChest" that adds an intermediate step. Each chest costs 15 regular wood, 1 bronze bar and 10 bronze nails and gives 15 slots. I find that this is a decent compromise.

    How difficult would this be to make w storage rooms on both sides in case you have 4 or 5 people and need more storage?

    • @phinqs
      @phinqs  Год назад +2

      I would probably recommend that you just increase the size of the storage room rather than build another one. You could elongate two sides of the room to create a stadium geometry and make it as large as you need. Hope this helps!
