Just about to build this car loved yours mate excellent job thank you for showing how you built and sprayed it , will follow step by step sometimes it can be hard to get certain paint and chemicals in Australia but will try and stay as close as I can if it turns out half as good as your car I’ll be happy 😊 your talent is exceptional and much appreciate watching , THANK YOU HEAPS . Kev
B.S.G Kustoms! I have sprayed this on acrylics but with a very light first coat. Its a 1k clear so no hardener is used. I just mix with about 1/3 lacquer thinner for the airbrush and spray it.
Hi Angelo. I have been modeling aircraft for 30 years, but never build a car until now (well I have one in progress). I have to say, I love your video's. Very informative, high quality, and relaxing music. I can sit through very few modeling videos, but not the case with yours! Now , I have a few questions. It seems like you are always applying glue to painted parts--is this correct or are you scraping the paint from the area that will receive glue? Also, where can I purchase the Mercedes paint? Thanks and keep the videos coming.
coyo419 thanks for the huge compliments! I really appreciate it. It’s true I have never gone too crazy with removing paint and plating from the parts when gluing and I know that goes against “the rules”. I don’t usually run into issues where painted parts won’t stick and if I do then I do remove some paint or plating when gluing. If there’s a specific color I want (like the Mercedes color) I go to Automotivetouchup.com. I can thin those paints with lacquer thinner and spray them through my airbrush. I don’t usually order the rattle cans so I can’t speak to how those are. Thanks again and welcome to Car Modeling!!!
Good to see a movie of you again
It promises to be a nice model have fun building

The duplicolor clear you spray can it be applied to acrylic paint? How do you mix it?. Happy building

Hi, thanks for your video. Is Duplicolor clear a 2k urethane clear? If yes, can it be applied on Tamiya/Mr Color acrylics? Keep up the good work.
Stephen M Cassar hello, the duplicolor is a one part or 1k clear. I do thin it with about 1/3 cheap lacquer thinner for the airbrush but thats it.
Angelo's Workbench Thanks for your help.
Where did you get the scriber
Samuel Vasquez hello, I think I got the scriber from Micro-Mark.
Where did you get the paint
Samuel Vasquez hello, I got this paint from automotivetouchup.com
Looks good but also looks like a lot of seam lines
Its Eldorado not eldorod 😉
