John has more of a backbone than most pastors today.
INCREDIBLE!!! Soo thankful for John Cooper and how he is standing up for truth!! We watch and look forward to his Cooper Stuff Podcast every week. My children are rocking Skillet, and John has been an incredible encouragement to our faith during these last two crazy years!!! God bless him!! And God bless you for sharing this!
I remember he gave this speech at the Lexington KY show. There was a lady that was a few rows away from me that made it through the whole show without a problem. But once John started talking about what Jesus did for us on the cross, the lady began to have a seizure. John immediately stopped everything, called medical and had the house lights brought up. He and everyone else in the arena started praying over her. It was so quiet you could probably hear a pin drop. Medical and Skillets production manager were able to help the lady and help her out. Goes to show that the Devil doesn’t Sleep.

He may not sleep, but he's already lost the war thanks to God and Jesus Christ. All we need to do as people is keep our eyes, hearts, and minds fixed on God and His Son Jesus; everything else will work itself out.

Skillet's helped God raised up an alien youth before, and I'm pretty sure he'll use them do it again. The world needs it now more than ever and John is so excited to get out there and wake people up especially after all the lockdowns.

Foundation... Foundation is the key. Even when I wasnt into the Bible and I was confused, still, because a true foundation was in place, it caused me to devour the word of God as I got older. Thats the thing. Not just a Christian upbringing, but a truly rooted upbringing that you are forced basically to always be around people who have a true relationship with Jesus Christ and have tasted of the true power of the Living God. All of these influencers who have abandoned Jesus, yes, THEY abandoned Him, have absolutely nothing for me and no reason they can say will make me divorce Jesus Christ and His Word from me. We have to come to the same point that Jesus did, where He said, that the prince of this world is coming, and he has nothing in me. These influencers got nothin i need
The only truth is in the Bible. Man's discoveries and knowledge changes on a daily basis but God's word always has and always will remain the same. Day after day, year after year. It never changes. What comfort we can find in this.

I'm thankful for Skillet and other messengers of God. Mark 16:15 says to "go OUT into ALL of the world and preach the gospel to EVERY creature." When someone is obeying God and someone else tries to shut them up they are telling God to shut up. The world needs Christians who are willing to put on a show AND spread the gospel, because without the performance the world would never hear the message. Jesus himself went out into "uncomfortable" situations in the world and spread the gospel to "lost souls"... shouldn't we follow that example? "Preaching to the choir" doesn't expand Gods' kingdom, and we aren't called to just preserve what is already saved by God... that could lead you into trying to take credit for what you didn't do instead of recognizing what God has already done. I'm excited for whatever God has planned for me even though I know it won't always be easy or comfortable . Thank you for sharing this encouraging message.
Every deconstructed person I’ve met has been nothing but kind, despite how unkind their church community may have been to them, we really need to stop spitting on people who walk out the door

Once we were told Columbus discovered America. Not any more. Pluto used to be a planet. Not any more. Could go on and on with new "discoveries". Man has limited knowledge which changes constantly. God's word never changes. The promises He makes to us in the Bible will always be kept.

I can"t prove it. Man can"t prove it. But have you ever felt something in your heart that you just knew was right. No matter what someone else said you knew it was true? 5 years ago I was diagnosed with cancer. Has God healed me? No. But at that scariest time of my life I prayed for help. And God heard and answered me and has given me peace just like He promised. I still have scary, depressing days but when I ask God for comfort and to calm my mind He does. Until you turn to God and learn to trust Him you will never know all the blessings He has in store for you. All He asks of us is to believe and trust Him. Nothing more. Just believe .
@@corinneayres8517 If you can't prove it and nobody can prove it then why believe it in the first place? The time to believe in something is when there is evidence correct? Believing in something blindly is not rational, logical, reasonable. That is gullibility. You can't feel things with your heart...your heart only pumps blood that is all it's good for.
People who sell books at try to tell you there books have sound theology other then the word of God itself which has true sound theology if they say that theirs is sound and only gives you what they think rather then what the Bible tells you itself and what it truly means they are lying because you can’t go off of what you think is sound theology and what you personally think you must refer to the Bible alone and nothing else not some book a celebrity tells you has sound doctrine he criticized influencers and famous Hollywood stars and failed to mention he’s both an influencer and famous star himself and nothing he says should be taken by face value and tested and questioned by the word of God in the Bible
But that’s not what he said, nor what he wrote in the book.

I wouldn't say they're being lied to everyday but if that's what he thinks that's his own opinion
Ok-- I am a teacher, and feel very personally attacked and disrespected when he says: "Your teachers are probably lying to you." We have given SO MUCH to our kids over the past few years. Do not DARE accuse us of such a thing. My respect for this group diminished after hearing this hateful and disheartening speech at WinterJam in Knoxville. He gave NO HOPE to teenagers--instead, wondering aloud: "If you're so happy with your sexual revolution, then why are so many of you killing yourselves? Why are you deconstructing? Etc." WHAT?????? I cannot even believe it...providing them with only hateful speech and negativity, and not encouraging them to talk to youth leaders/people they trust about the legitimate struggles that they are going through. Never once encouraging youth leaders to intentionally create safe spaces where their youth feel free to have these open discussions. THIS is EXACTLY why young people are leaving the faith/walking away from the church... I am SO GLAD that my husband's youth group was unable to attend this event.
The truth isn’t always polite, as he stated in his book and as show in the Bible, Jesus told the harsh truth as well, you think people wanted to hear what he said in John 6:53-54?…and he’s right, also I’m pretty positive he doesn’t mean all teachers as a whole, he probably means the teachers/professors that a good chunk of Christians have encountered like he did in college. Saying we are fools, that we aren’t going to be very successful in life if we believe the Bible. If anything a straight forward speech like this would inspire them to talk to youth pastors or read the word themselves! Talking about celebrities and influencers who eventually kill themselves or are on drugs/alcohol who tell us how to be happy (mainly without Christ) and live a great life should be a eye opener for teens or adults who haven’t turned to God yet. Nothing hateful about spreading what is true. Jesus sure didn’t sugar coat it.

@@Crossbattle777 it honestly doesn’t matter who exactly it was directed to. Jesus was being followed cause he fed them. But what he said was just a way to point out their short-sightedness. They wanted physical bread rather than food that endures eternal life. Jesus was radical with his wording. It was radical truth, which caused many of his disciples stopped following him. The truth ain’t always pretty

People read all kinds of trash everyday because they enjoy reading but as soona s someone recommends something useful to read they immediately take the negative approach and accuse them of just wanting a make a profit...SO WHAT!!!
I'm a pretty left -leaning Christian, and even though I love the band (been a fan since I was 9 and now I'm 23), John has been off his rocker since 2020. His political takes on his podcast are just terrible and their latest album Dominion has a shitload of "anti-tyranny" lyrics that reek of right-wing propaganda anti-mask bullshit. And the speech he gives in this video just feels manipulative and fear-mongering. I've stepped away from the church in the past few years and its because of these kind of messages and personalities that are clearly pushing a political agenda and manipulating the uneducated and vulnerable people of society.
Then dont buy the book and STFU!!!
