  • Camiel Vanderhoeven, senior VMS Software engineer, explains how to use VMware vSphere vMotion to move a virtual machine running on VMware ESXi from one host to another.
The video describes steps needed to install VMware ESXi, vSphere, and clusterize vSphere hosts. It also covers installation of OpenVMS in a cluster and how to configure and use a virtual serial port concentrator to connect to an OpenVMS instance running in the cluster and that migrates between hosts thanks to vMotion.

Thanks. So now you can install, or update to, OpenVMS-9.2-3 entirely from the VGA console (so no need to connect via the iLO on bare metal installs on machines like the HPE DL380 gen9). This was a long time coming (wished HP had done something similar in the Itanium days) so kudos to the whole team at VSI.
