From the 5 love languages..learning your partner's top love languages is the best way to give to them. They are: physical touch, quality time with them, words of affirmation to them, them receiving gifts, acts of service for them. Finding creative ways to cater to a person's love language is wonderful in keeping things lively in a relationship (any relationship really--friendships, parent-children, sibling-sibling, etc.) on the regular & not just on special occasions.

Yes this is so important especially with children because I had to realize my sons top Love language is physical touch and mines is acts of service so it's work for me sometimes. I don't like to be touched 😩🥴

For my wife and I never celebrate Valentine's day. To us it was overrated. Instead we had date night once or twice a month. That was way more important than doing something special on a certain holiday. Birthdays was the same just dinner or something small. One year my wife wanted to go on a solo road trip because we don't normally do anything special and she wanted to see her friends. I said she couldn't go and she thought I was being weird and jealous lol. I had to tell her that I had something planned and she could not go on the road trip because I had already paid for the surprise. She had no idea that I had asked her job to give her weeks off and I took her to Georgia and Florida, I had her family and friends waiting for us and we went to Universal. Best birthday surprise ever! Every day she had a new surprise person and a new place to adventure. We had an amazing time.

Give me flowers because you thought about me, give me candy cause you were at the store and remembered that I liked it. Valentine's is so cheesy because people oftentimes give meaningless gifts. Like how thoughtful is to grab roses and candy for Valentine. There's no thought in that and a lot of times they are doing it because they feel like they have to. Maybe I'm weird but I light up when my partner went out to eat and brought me food back(remembering exactly what I like) or something like the gentleman said above that was very thoughtful.
They definitely need to add a male Co-Host to The Real ASAP!

@@cmuniz37 We have so many platforms for men, this is a platform made especially for women of color. We desperately needed a show like this and adding a permanent male co-host would not only change the dynamic but defies the purpose of the show in general. I like hearing the male perspective with guest co-hosts but I wouldn’t want the conversations and the connection to be affected by adding a man of even another woman that doesn’t connect with them. I want to hear women’s voices and experiences in a panel where there is love and friendship and want to be able to relate to their struggles and challenges. Men are special and needed but the show doesn’t NEED a man for it to be successful or real. They been doing it amazingly.
