They are nice the only thing I hate is that they look too close to one another. I think if they had made it a bit wider and reproduced the pose of the artwork it would have been more stunning. They just look cramped cramped cramped like most duo dolls. For the prices these are fetching for it would cover the cost of bigger display cases and I don't think to have spiked Ursula's hair enough...
I LOVE ARIEL !!! She is my hands down FAVORITE Disney Princess! !! But I do agree about the top. I think her traditional shells would have looked better and perhaps all of the other details could have painted directly onto the doll!!! But I still love love love her!!
Those dolls are amazing!! Love Ariel's tail and fin and Ursula is amazing, I think she's my favorite Villian. I can never decide there's so many good ones haha

I think a 17" Ursula with a 12" Ariel is the best proportion for this characters. I know they could put a 17 doll it that package, but I still wish it. I love that Ursula is more poseable than any other before, but her neck really bothers me, I wish it could move more freely. And I agree with you about Ariel's top. I don't like it at all. The artwork is BEAUTIFUL and the reality in the doll disappoint me

Agree. Ursula needs to be a bit bigger. If they brought Ariel to the front a little more they could have made her a little bigger. Kind of like the way they staged Peter and Captain Hook. Since they couldn't so that I would have just done the shells. And for the amount your paying for the dolls you shouldn't be able to see Urulas scalp.

It was the real deal breaker for me with this set, which is a shame because I loved everything else about Ariel, especially her tail, it's very well done and is my favorite one so far! Ursula is very well done, but your right, it would have been nice if she were larger.
I love this set, but I would love it more if they just placed some stylized tattoos along with iridescent shells or a fitted bodice top that was skin color with the same designs. I think her top was meant to be more skin tight than it is and that's why it looks frumpy. Ursula could stand to a bit bigger as well, but I still got them and they are on the way!!!:D
I was disappointed with this set too. Just seems like something I should give my daughter to play with instead of something to put on a shelf. Ursula is a bit top heavy, would have cared for different treatment of the legs (although what they could have used and stayed under budget i have no clue). And Ariel's top could have been so much better. I prefer her previous versions. I like the idea behind this, just not executed well.

They are gorgeous dolls, but I agree that Ariel would have looked better if she had just the seashells. Also, I don't like the way ursula's hair looks. I think it should have stood up a bit, because it looks partially spiked up in the movie. ( I'm assuming there wasn't room to do that in the box though). Overall very pretty doll though.

But Urusla should only have six tentacles? Disney only gave her six cuz it was cheaper to animate six rather than eight. Some speculate however that her arms are tentacles seven and eight 😉
My brother had the same concerns as you Chad when he purchased this set. Real shells would have looked better and Ursula is kinda tiny BUT they are still a lovely set. Elsa this week!!! So excited for her set which will belong to me. Curious though if you will be trying to get the Fever dolls or the Anna troll wedding set??
