This is the peak of your swiftie journey. This is why she has such a strong fan base. It's how beyond her great writing and honing her craft with her singing and performing, she engages in such a relatable way, with easter eggs, surprise songs and mash ups, with her "Taylurking" which is what they call her social media stalking of fans for ideas that you hear a song in a way you've wanted and it feels personal. That's why people won't get it after one or a few good songs or performances. It's a lot of little pieces that make her into this appealing. The work and the care she puts into her craft and the gratitude and appreciation she shows for her fans.
She's experimenting with some of the songs on higher keys on this tour and she sounds terrific. Also, it's really hard to hear the lower register in a loud stadium.
I was lucky enough to be at this show - I still can’t believe I actually witnessed it with my actual eyes and ears. The whole night was just magical. And when she said “murder mashup” I thought “well, that appropriate because I’m pretty sure I’m not surviving this”.
I really want a copy of this one. Carolina is so good! It's even more impressive if she's under the weather like people say. I know she's blowing her nose a lot the last week or so, but that could also be the weather. Love, love, love the murder mashup. ❤❤❤
OMG...so many fun mashups for secret songs at Eras. She did Manuscript x Red on piano and I sobbed my eyes out. She also did Cornelia Street x Maroon. They were both Liverpool if you are finding clips on RUclips.
I love Carolina! This version was stunning! And you are right - she sounds so much better vocally now than she did when she was younger. She worked hard for that. She could always sing, but she has honed her craft. People don’t give her enough credit for her vocals. They just pull up some live song from when she was 18 and pitchier and then they’ve really listened to the rest of her catalog. And she’s always been a great song writer, but that has also just gotten more seasoned with age. As had her performance ability. She’s just amazing! And I think she probably switched the key because Carolina sung as softly as it is originally probably wouldn’t have come across in a stadium as well. Or have blended as well with NBNC.
I know the feeling! A week ago I woke up with a rando mashup of "The Great War" & "You're Losing Me" in my head, then she did it like that in Liverpool two days later. 🙃
It’s cute when she said these surprise signs make her nervous- and how she said she practices like crazy so she won’t miss it up! This mashup was amazing… and explains key change! Great reaction!
I was very fortunate to see her perform in Edinburgh on Night 3, and it was just the most spectacular experience. It was my daughter's 22nd birthday and she's a huge swiftie. Our surprise songs were x2 Mash ups, It's Nice to Have a Friend x Dorethea on Guitar and Haunted and Exile on Piano. Her energy on stage for over 3 hours is amazing, and she sounded so great live. I'll definitely be looking to go again if I get the chance!
I mean, SOMEONE is that’s for sure ahahahaha. Now Benny has a reference for mashing these two up. Which he was doing already on his own (twitch dot com /thebennyweag for anyone who wants to see him sing them lol) but who ever is here spying on Dom, I NEED YOU TO KNOW I EXIST LOL
Taylor DEFINITELY gets on social media & peruses what people are saying. And then she also has her family & friends send her links of things they know she’ll like.
I enjoy your content. I've even watched some of your other videos outside of Taylor now. I want to tell you something that is my perspective and I'm a newer Swifty, who was an original Swifty who kind of left her in the middle and now I'm back-in full forse . ( I just didn't follow her very much after she stopped, performing traditional country.) but when you talk about how she sounds different. This is my perspective of course the obvious she would sound different because she's trained. But the one thing you have to keep in mind is now she's singing the way she wants to sing she doesn't have record label and producers, telling her what to do and how she should sound . Is expressing her true artistic, self good batter and different. I honestly believe that this is her true artistic self. Perspective how she now compared to how she sounds when you listen to her older. albums or her videos when she was younger. I understand that there's a few of her teenybopper .... sounding songs that you don't like. But the rest of us a lot of us like them because they're just fun and we understand the meaning behind them and generally we can relate. But honestly, I don't believe she's the only artist that suffers from this true creativity and their vision is down by the studio. Just my lonely perspective
One thing that I really appreciate about her is that she might not be an exellent vocalist but she knows how to sing her songs perfectly, in a way that I can't see in any covers. Anddd she try to improve her vocal everyday, I love her so much. Edit: Like sometimes you'll say that :"Oh this cover is better than the original" but for Taylor, I'll never ever say that. She owns the songs and she sings them the most beautifully. I said what I said
I was there! I was nervous about what surprise songs we’d get because the two nights before got such amazing mashups and then she was like “This mf watches documentaries on Netflix and listens to true crime podcasts, let me give him a murder mashup” 😂
Where The Crawdads Sing is one of my all time favorite books, so I didn't bother to see the movie and only saw Carolina here on YT from Taylor. It's haunting. The movie version had to be soft and sad. The stage version can be stretched to a higher limit. (And dude deserved to die.) No Body, No Crime is like Goodbye Earl by the Chicks, but waaaayyy darker. I love it.
I personally think she sang it in a higher key to make it easier for the crowd to join along and actually hear her. A very low key would make both of these things harder.
Id love to see you react to an early performance just so you can appreciate her growth. I would recommend Should've said no at the country music awards. I think she was around 16/17 at the time. While you might not love the song, it's a great way to compare her then yo now! She's worked super hard and it shows 😂
I know if you could go back in time to visit yourself about a year ago that you would never be able to convince your past self that you’re now a full on Swiftie 😂 I’ve loved watching your journey though 😊
Would you do a little commentary about your overall experience with your Taylor journey? I have watched you morph like a butterfly and every song hasn’t been your favorite (totally keeping it real!) but I just would love to hear your thoughts on your experience. Just a reflection summary. 😂❤
Us every f ing weekend:
“THAT WAS FOR ME”
😂😂
So true
Omg I absolutely thought of you the MOMENT she started Carolina. Then she went into NBNC?! Dom she’s definitely watching your reactions 🥰
Same, like in my head Carolina has become his now. lol
Same! Lol. I knew right away he would love it.
I’m pretty sure she’s an octave up. I know she’s been fighting a cold but I’m HERE FOR IT!
OMG I think you’re right!!
“thank you very much taylor swift, you’ve been watching me”
hahahahahaha that’s what we say for
like 18 years with her songs!!

She's experimenting with some of the songs on higher keys on this tour and she sounds terrific. Also, it's really hard to hear the lower register in a loud stadium.
yeah exactly i think she is changing it for the crowd
This mashup is literally perfect in every way. PERFECT.
💯
She absolutely killed it and it was after 3 hours of singing + while having cold. Don´t underestimate my girl!
She said to the cold, "try and come for my job".
I was lucky enough to be at this show - I still can’t believe I actually witnessed it with my actual eyes and ears. The whole night was just magical. And when she said “murder mashup” I thought “well, that appropriate because I’m pretty sure I’m not surviving this”.
Love it!
I‘m so jealous. It‘s my fave mash up so far!
And i‘m a getaway car girly 🥲😂
Am i the only one that thinks its so cute when guy's are so excited about T Swift? Lol
“you got some nerve that was FOR ME!” is me everytime she plays ivy
the way I literally thought of you when she was singing this mashup, I was like "oooh, he's gonna like this one"
This was such an amazing live performance and mashup, who says she can’t sing is just being a hater cause she sounds amazing
Facts!!!
I really want a copy of this one. Carolina is so good! It's even more impressive if she's under the weather like people say. I know she's blowing her nose a lot the last week or so, but that could also be the weather. Love, love, love the murder mashup. ❤❤❤
From here forward, this will be known not only as the “Murder Mashup” but also the “Dom Mashup.”
The second I heard her playing these two as surprise songs you popped into my head & I was like he’s gonna be so fucking happy to react to this!

I can't believe you outed me!
This is the best mashup ever
This is one of her best mashups, I hope we get a good recording of it! I though of you as soon as I heard this lol
Taylor DEFINITELY gets on social media & peruses what people are saying. And then she also has her family & friends send her links of things they know she’ll like.
I have the same feeling about these two songs ❤❤❤ As always, I ap p recite your take and reactions.
her live performances always amazes me!!! She always changes something up and keeps us on our toes..it's even better than the original!

You were my first thought when she started playing that 😂
Totally thought of you when Taylor performed this “murder mashup” 😂😂
That was awesome! She is trolling you!!
One thing that I really appreciate about her is that she might not be an exellent vocalist but she knows how to sing her songs perfectly, in a way that I can't see in any covers.

She got personal
Love your reaction!!!!!!❤❤❤
Murder Mashup needs to be my next bracelet for you lol
You're way too cute, having completely turned into a legitimate swiftie. Love it!!!
I definitely thought of you when i saw this 😂😂
Carolina is also my song ❤️ I live in South Carolina and it's her best vocal performance as far as I'm concerned😊
I'm pretty sure she watches your reaction videos ❤
I was there! I was nervous about what surprise songs we’d get because the two nights before got such amazing mashups and then she was like “This mf watches documentaries on Netflix and listens to true crime podcasts, let me give him a murder mashup” 😂

in my opinion i think she changed the key to make the songs more “exciting” and engage the crowd in the performance.
Hahahhaha eu pensei nele na hora que vi esse masup 😅
