What do you think about the P50 Pro's camera system? Are the zoom shots better than with the predecessor? Are the colors more realistic than before? How about video quality? What should Huawei improve?
Everything is better on the p50 bro but it missed the ultra wide in vedio feature Its wider on the mate 40 beside that its the best❤️ thanks for the review

Great review. I have a P50 Pro Global Version, with EMUI 12, and noticed that my phone hasn't the same camera modes that your P50 Pro with HarmonyOS. I wish I can migrate to HarmonyOS.
Yeah multi-cam is missing as the OS support is not there yet in EMUI12. Is there anything else missing? I know aperture mode has no video option on Snapdragon as it is a limitation of that CPU.
@@lltechview I just saw a P50 Pro a few weeks ago, It the global version, when I was trying the video mode, it cannot switch from 1x to ultra wide video mode, the zoom im not sure yet, but the switching from 1x to ultrawide is the main thing I noticed thats missing on the global variant with SD 8 Gen 1.

Some rumors say there might be a P50 Pro Plus coming in the future with 5G even but very rare and probably only in China. In comparison with the Magic 3 Pro Plus the P50 Pro probably has some better HDR but they are probably very close. Don't have a Maguc 3 Prp Plis here so cannot compare.
One doubt: Taking the hardware downgrade from predessor (P40Series used larger sensors and higher magnification than p50 series) into consideration, do u think huawei did a good job by matching it with fantastic software unlike before?
The main sensor is basically the same. The cine cam is gone but you get a wider ultrawide which is good enough I would say to compete with the predecessor as it is more useful. The zoom is imho a slightly bit better even. But I have to test it against the P40 Pro+ a bit more. (So definitely better zoom than the normal P40 Pro)
Can u please do a video at the night because the predecessors had problem with the vedio stabilizer at night ( the quality will be bad when u move the phone a little bit )

The sensor is actually A 1/1.5” type, btw i would’ve like more photo samples, huawei generally doesn’t seem to care about video, photography is where they excel………

I mean you saw the comparison between the Mate 40 Pro that has definitely an IMX700 and the P50 Pro. Some shots did not have any differences when taking with the main cam
@@lltechview Update: I downloaded some photos taken from the main camera from dxo mark which contained exif data, both of mate 40 pro and p50 pro and they have the same focal length so the same crop factor, so its the same sensor as the mate 40 pro (1/1.28)……..😅, its weird they didn’t mention it
I think that you missed something or they made a change to camera options later, but when I go to camera options/more and see the menu there is a pen icon to edit camera options where you can simply drag and drop the snapshot icon and have it on your list when you open the camera app. Nice review.
Yeah the tele lens colors are off in video. You can see it in my zoom test aswell it shifts the color dramatically different. Not sure why they don't use the color sensor they have for this. Sharpness also sometimes varies. Especially like seen in my test [the next video will come soon] sometimes the focus and clearity is not there. Even in 4k 30 FPS where it was a lot clearer in 4k 60 FPS. Something they need to work on and hopefully do with software updates (1 arrived already that provides slightly better performance as you might know) For photos the tele zoom is working fine however. It nailed shots there most of the time. Though it is nothing for fast moving subjects like the Xperia 1 III. Color shift is also visible but easier to correct.

I found the Magic 3 Pro+ to be a lot more interesting device in terms of video performance, while P50 Pro has a slight edge in photography, though, with its overheating tendency, I still won't recommend it to those who take pictures of people. As far as I understood, you mean that in 4k60 it gives BETTER IMAGE? I can't believe it since the bitrate is already too low and hangs around 28-30mbps while Sony nails it at 55-85mbps depending on the mode.
Did you check the settings if you have turned on 4k for the video and highest resolution for the photos? Otherwise do you own a Kirin or Snapdragon powered variant?
@@paulmcgenota Yeah processing on Snapdragon is different. Huawei has its software optimized for the hardware and algorithms provided in the Kirin chip. That is why whenever possible get the Kirin chip version as it provides you Huawei tech in its prime time.

Yes beauty mode can be turned off. 5G is not available it only has 4G

That depends on the version. There are some with an IMX700 just like on the Mate 40 Pro or P40 Pro

Will the Huawei / Google ban ever end as I will never buy another Huawei as long as this ban remains.
I don't know. I would hope for it to end as it would make it easier for Huawei. Otherwise they will improve their own ecosystem step by step.
