Lots of good information, except it doesn't actually tell us how to use the vacuum pump to bleed the air, or how it works to get air that is trapped in some remote part of the system. What are you connecting your vacuum pump to? Do you need to turn the wheels when you have vacuum? Does the PS pump need to be run by the engine as you do this?

      Hi Kevin,
The vacuum pump is connected to the power steering fluid reservoir with an adapter. Once it is connected, you pull 18 to 20 inches of vacuum and walk away ( you can if you wish turn the wheels back and forth but the outcome will not be very different). The vacuum applied will pull all the micro bubbles out of the fluid. There may be a little bit of air left in the system because it is trapped, but most of the air will be pulled. If there is a little bit of air trapped, it will be pulled away when the vehicle is running, but it is so little it will not be enough to aerate the system.
      We hope this is helpful!

Nice work im replacing my 02 4runner rack and pinion after an attempt at rebuilding it and still having leaks around the bellows i figure the housing for the rack is bent due to the sway bar links not being installed after a lift was installed my question is what is a good brand vacuum tester for rack and pinions to vacuum test the seals thanks for your help

When you pull vacuum from the reservoir why does no fluid come out of it?

If there is air getting into the system but no fluid coming out, how do you find this type of leak?

How did you make the car crank but not start

      Hi Ojay,
      The are a few ways.
A couple of the ways: you can take the fuel pump relay out or disable the fuel injection relay, and then the car will crank, but not start.
      Thank you,
      PWR

All I wanted to know was how to disable the engine from starting and how to use the vacuum bleeder, but you skip over those parts as if everyone already knows how to do that. The title of your video indicates that you would be going over how to vacuum the system, but you barely covered that part! Poorly made...

Jarrett, to disable the engine remove fuse going to fuel pump. Will crank over but fuel will not flow.

Disconnect the camshaft sensor. It will not set off injectors.
